Thousands of interviews and hundreds of subpoenas later, special counsel Robert Mueller broke his two-year Wizard of Oz-like silence on Thursday in the form of a 448-page report that formally dropped the curtain on the bad political musical we’ve come to know as the Russian collusion scandal. (Snip)For the purpose of a court of law, Trump neither committed a Russia collusion crime that he needed to cover up nor took formal action that actually impeded the probe. And that left only a theoretical case for attempted obstruction.

FTA … the collusion CRIME? As I understand it collusion is not a crime. Collusion MAY result in a crime such as fraud in which case the CRIME would be fraud, not collusion.
No crime, no obstruction, unless preventing law enforcement from jailing you because they want to is a crime.
Author is making stupid excuses because things didn´t work out for him. Impeach Trump for being a jerk. It´s against the law to be a jerk isn´t it?

Republicans are clearly judged by different laws and standards. Trump had to prove his innocents and still Schiff and Nadler are saying he is guilty. A unified understanding of 4 committee chairmen in the House are now embarking on a plan to "get him". Americans need to take notice and not just re-elect President Trump but they should give him a 100 seat majority in the House and a 60 seat plus majority in the Senate - then watch how the country booms further. MAGA / KAGA!

So - - here´s what you have to believe - - - - -
It´s without question that there was no collusion - - no crime - - committed by Trump. It´s also without question that Trump knew that he did not commit a crime.
Therefore - - you have to believe that Trump obstructed an investigation which he knew would show that there was no crime. That he did everything he could to stop himself from being found innocent.
Yup - - that´s what you have to believe. And clueless, deluded leftists actually believe it.

Conservatives are supposed to meekly submit to whatever judgment is imposed on them. But Democrats can just say ´The glove don´t fit´ and get away with murder.

If you look at the comments on the original article, it is quite amazing how many people have terminal TDS. There is nothing that will ever convince them, no matter how many investigations, etc. One can´t be guilty just by speaking, he actually has to do something to commit obstruction of justice! How would anyone who is falsely accused behave? We have a sick culture, and I sure hope it starts to heal, but I have little hope.

David Webb interviewed Solomon today. Mueller slanted the report to make it easy for dems to continue harassment of the president.

She paid for a ´report´ she knew was a lie. Dozens of security officials and justice department people broke oaths and laws to harass a private citizen and then a candidate, but no one in the media talks about the obvious.
Either this country is stupid beyond belief or a coup is continuing and apparently will only be stopped by violence. If only we had an AG that cared about enforcing at least a few laws connected to sedition.

"Obstruction" is such a general charge. It´s one of those words that can be shaped to suit your needs...especially if you´re a politically motivated investigator looking for something - anything - to justify the fact that you´ve spent a lot of money essentially going nowhere.

The last two paragraphs sum it up well. FTA: But one lesson from this debacle, which Americans might find applicable to both the courts of law and public opinion, is worth grasping: A guilty man’s conduct to get rid of prosecutors, to impact witnesses or to impugn an investigation looks a lot more like obstruction than an innocent man’s similar actions during an effort to defend himself from bogus allegations.
In the absence of provable charges, the presumption of innocence still reigns supreme.

Of course, President Trump is on national stage and that he should behave like a “model” citizen, but he had to be deeply frustrated with an investigation into charges he knew in his heart did not exist. He could have fired the investigators at any point in time as was his right to do so. But, that would have created enormous political backlash. He’s also human and any anyone under that type of pressure would blow occasionally. What is “inappropriate” Mr. Solomon, is the people who were not loyal enough to keep those so called “outbursts” to themselves and give the impression that President Trump was placing pressure on them
