A manhunt for a woman allegedly "infatuated" with the Columbine massacre who forced schools in Colorado to close after threatening violence came to an end Wednesday after she was found dead in the mountains west of Denver. Sol Pais,18, was found near the base of Mt. Evans in Clear Creek County, located about 45 miles west of Denver, FOX31 reported. A law enforcement source confirmed to Fox News that Pais was dead. It was not immediately clear how she died, but the FBI´s Denver Office said on Twitter there was "no longer a threat to the community.”

A poster on another thread wondered how a woman wearing a black T shirt, camo pants, boots and carrying a shotgun could go unnoticed.
Boy did she fool them all!
FTA: “a naked woman matching the description with a gun was spotted in the area running through the woods.”
Yep, that´s how you slip out of their BOLO dragnet, you lose those obvious clothes and nobody will notice a naked woman running through the woods with a shotgun.
/s off
Pretty clearly unhinged, seems fairly likely she checked out on her own, way better that way.
Still sad, she was somebody´s daughter.

Sounds like a police takedown. A sad ending to a wasted life.

The left has been telling us for generations that guns kill. Well, now, for once, a gun killed a potential mass murderer. One would think the Left would celebrate this moment. She was an obsessed teen focused on a tragic moment. She traveled to Colorado with the supposed intent (purely speculative by the leftist media, and others), to kill millions of high schoolers. But a gun, a shotgun she bought, recognized the impending tragedy and stopped her by killing her. Now, crazy conservatives would say she was a troubled teen crying out for help but the leftist stereotyping that has permeated our society refused to believe her troubles and instead assumed she was a mass murderer. And did nothing to help her. Maybe it isn´t about guns but about mental illness. NAH, its always about guns!

Michael Moore was infatuated with Columbine as well. He made millions of dollars on a movie that ridiculed law enforcement over the shooting. Why wasn´t he taken down?

#13, in the Columbine case, LE deserved some criticism, but, in their defense, the event was different. Previous ´hostage situations´, when at least semi-rational criminals took hostages, had developed the SOP to form a perimeter, and get the hostage negotiating team in place, and negotiate it out. With these suicidal killers, intent on maximizing body count, that was a huge (but understandable) error.
The standard training for LE officers in almost all US jurisdictions after Columbine, and after much study and learned LE reflection on this new form of suicidal mass killer was "The first officer on the scene goes in, and does not wait for backup". And experience had shown that ANY armed response almost always stops the killing as the killer goes defensive and frequently ends his own life right then, or is killed by responding officers.
Of course, the female, likely Affirmative Action, idiot-in-charge of the Broward Cowards ordered her officers to form a perimeter and NOT go in, while people were still being killed. They could hear the steady drumbeat of shots.
Responding officers from nearby Coral Springs (IIRC) were told by her to also stand down. Since they didn´t work for her, they ignored her and did the RIGHT thing, as trained and immediately entered the building, and quickly the killing ended. Unfortunately many had died before the out of town officers arrived, while the Broward Cowards did nothing of use.

All of the reports say she bought a shotgun. None say she bought ammunition. Did she? How much?
Could it be she had a death wish and wanted to go out in a blaze with notoriety and connected to Columbine? Somebody she communicated with knew she had a loose screw.
