Obama Adviser´s Book is Ranked 1,030 on Amazon. How Did It Make NYT´s Bestseller List?

Original Article

Valerie Jarrett, a top adviser to former President Barack Obama, published a book that ranks dismally on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble, but was placed on The New York Times Best Seller list. Anomalies around the book’s sales figures in industry databases have some in the book business questioning whether Jarrett, who’s rumored to have received a million-dollar-plus advance, paid a company to game the numbers. Her book, which was published April 2, is number 1,030 on Amazon’s list of top sellers and has only three reviews on the site. It similarly ranks 1,244 on Barnes and Noble

Someone needs to look into the money laundering that clearly runs out of the book publishers. They seem to pay an exorbitant amount of money for books they know no one will want to read let alone buy. The DNC and other political groups buy as many as they can but that really can´t add up to much. So the question is how does the company justify these huge advances? And just where do they get the money to do it? Something just doesn´t smell right here and I would love to know how this scam is being played and by whom.

If you´re a loud liberal you write a book, receive a huge advance, fill the two covers with empty pages then get rich in the process. It beats the hell out of working for a living.

When there used to be numerous bookstores around, I remember how they would stack-up the liberal books right near the entrance. But if you wanted a book by a conservative author, it was generally hidden on a remote shelf.

Answer may be that the thousands of public and school libraries order multiple copies since libraries tend to be run by progressives. Our local library seems to always have 6 to 10 copies of every book released by Obama and Hillary propagandists. Add in the thousands of public and private schools plus the colleges, and you have a top seller without consumers.

It´s a scam, and something needs to be done about it. People who do harm to the country when in power, get paid through less than honest means, and we all look the other way while it happens. It needs to stop! I don´t care what the rules are, obama and his wife, bill and hillary, crazy Joe, and senile Jimmie Carter need to have their security details removed, and all those former "security people" like Brennan, need to have their clearances revoked. This is all outrageous!

As a non celebrity who has been writing and dealing with publishers and agents for years, I know exactly what we are dealing with, a bunch of smarmy, lazy, dull, untalented marketing specialists who faithfully follow trends and reject most of the good material submitted to them in favor of some disgusting politician, movie star or liberal nut case who might have a little name recognition. Publishing anything by Hillary or either of the Obamas is laughable. They all claim to be too busy to talk or review a manuscript but they will never skip a three-hour, three-martini lunch or miss that Friday noon closing to get a jump on beach traffic for the weekend.

The NYT bestseller list has been proven many times to be a dishonest, liberal-promoting marketing tool.

When was the last time a credible analysis was performed to verify the NYT´s "bestseller" list accurately represents nationwide book sales?

My own suspicion is that, however honest the list may have initially been, it had become more of an editorial "favorites" list for the Times. Or even a tool for promoting the political views of the editorial board, who could make any claim and then point to their heavily-cooked list as evidence that the public agreed. A sort of "democratic" gauge that could be totally manipulated to suit their whims...

Former Rep. Gowdy made the revelation in an interview Sunday with Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo. "There are a lot of serious questions that need to be asked" during Attorney General William Barr's investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, Gowdy said. Among them: "Where are the transcripts, if any exist, between the informants and the telephone calls to George Papadopoulos?"

The polls were wrong. The pundits were wrong. The party insiders were wrong. The bookies were wrong. I was wrong. Even Burt the psychic croc was wrong. Australia’s dysfunctional, unpopular, conservative government (the Liberal and National parties, currently in coalition, sit on the right in Australian politics) held onto power for a third term in Saturday’s national election. This happened despite the fact that most analysts expected it to lose a large number of seats; despite being (seemingly) out of step with the nation’s emerging consensus on climate change, marriage equality, religion, and race; despite a chaotic tenure in office that has seen three leaders since 2016; despite a threadbare

Three years after the twin shocks of President Trump's triumph in the Republican primaries and the narrow win for "Leave" in the Brexit referendum, the evidence has never been stronger that the world has entered an era of anti-liberalism. Later this week, voters across Europe go to the polls to vote in EU parliamentary elections that could deliver a quarter or more of the seats to the continent's right-wing populists and nationalists. Meanwhile, exit polls in India suggest that Narendra Modi's Hindu nationalist party will win re-election when results are announced on May 23. This follows the surprise victory in Australia of Scott Morrison's conservative coalition,
Rotting Trash Piles Sky-High in LA,
Attracting Rats and Raising Concerns of a New Epidemic

Rat-infested piles of rotting garbage left uncollected by the city of Los Angeles, even after promises to clean it up, are fueling concerns about a new epidemic after last year's record number of flea-borne typhus cases. Even the city's most notorious trash pile, located between downtown LA's busy Fashion and Produce districts, continues to be a magnet for rats after it was cleaned up months ago. The rodents can carry typhus-infected fleas, which can spread the disease to humans through bacteria rubbed into the eyes or cuts and scrapes on the skin, resulting in severe flu-like symptoms.

Democratic leaders in Congress proved the perils of “jumping the shark” this month. The phrase comes from the 1977 episode of the television comedy “Happy Days” in which one of its leading characters, the “Fonz,” jumped over a shark in a water skiing stunt in swim trunks along with his signature leather jacket. That moment was viewed as a desperate ratings stunt by a dying television series struggling to keep viewers engaged. Today, the phrase has come to define similar instances of desperation. With the many overhyped political moments of the last two years, it is not clear when the partisan shark jump occurred. Soon after the appointment of special counsel

Assembly Bill 186, which passed the Senate on a 12-8 vote, would bring Nevada into the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement between participating states to cast their electoral votes for the winner of the popular vote. There's a recurring theme in American science fiction where the country loses its way, endures some horrible but cleansing disaster, and then rediscovers the blessings of liberty. You'll find it in Robert Heinlein's "Future History" stories, where the Crazy Years -- a period of rapid technological advances, decaying social norms, and mass psychosis -- leads to the backlash of a religious dictatorship. The Prophets regime is eventually toppled by a liberty-loving group dedicated to individual rights. The theme is even more pronounced in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, where a socialist regime puts the country into another Great Depression, only worse. The country's capitalists
