MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace is divorcing her husband of 14 years and dating New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt, a regular on her afternoon show. Schmidt broke the story of Hillary Clinton´s secret email server and several major revelations about Russian interference in the 2016 elections. Schmidt, 35, and Wallace, 47, decided they had to disclose their relationship to MSNBC, according to Page Six. I never knew who she was except by name when she messed with Sarah Palin. So I watched her some on the View. What a loser. I could never understand how she made it so high up to such influential positions within the Republican Party. She didn’t strike me as very smart. And like some of these young things in the Dem party, she is way too full of herself.

Normally, boundaries of good taste and propriety would prevent me from commenting on someone´s private marital difficulties. But since Nicolle´s acolytes went out of their way to make sure that every marital tribulation of the Palin family was featured prominently in these pages, I find myself unsympathetic to Wallace.

I guess a Republican who takes a paycheck from MSNBC may have other bad habits.

McCain hired her to work on his campaign by “helping” Sara Palin. Wallace quickly sold her out to Katie Currick and did all she could to undermine Sara. Good choice on McCain’s part. Wallace is about as conservative as McCain himself. She is a weasel.

In a series of indignant tweets on Thursday, President Trump pushed back on liberal outrage over his comments to ABC's George Stephanopoulos. I meet and talk to “foreign governments” every day. I just met with the Queen of England (U.K.), the Prince of Wales, the P.M. of the United Kingdom, the P.M. of Ireland, the President of France and the President of Poland. We talked about “Everything!” Should I immediately call the FBI about these calls and meetings? How ridiculous! I would never be trusted again. Today President Trump turns 73 – Happy Birthday President Trump! President Trump is doing all he can to help America recover after the eight horrible years of the Obama Administration. It has not been easy. America still has massive debt due to the $10 trillion added by Obama. Our FBI and DOJ and other federal agencies were politicized and made corrupt. There’s still lots more to do.But America is winning again. There’s no more Iran deal, no more Paris deal, no more 10% unemployment, no more jobs going overseas and south of our border, no more stagnant stock markets and no more flailing GDP.

On Monday, David Zuckerman wrote a good piece about Peggy Noonan and her WSJ editorial concerning former President Donald Trump. Noonan argues that electing Donald Trump again would destroy the Republican party. Peggy may be right, and I hope that she is. Trump’s success in 2016 was, in large part, due to the way that he took the mechanisms of the Republican political machine and used them to secure victory. He ran a third-party-style campaign within the structure of the Republican party. The “party” as a corporate entity was against him, but grassroots Republicans in name and philosophy were all in for candidate Donald Trump.
