The San Antonio City Council has rejected the inclusion of Chick-fil-A from the new Food, Beverage and Retail Prime Concession Agreement for the San Antonio International Airport. The city has banned the chicken chain from setting up shop in the airport due to the company’s alleged ‘legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior.’ In a statement, a rep for Chick-fil-A said they would ‘still welcome the opportunity to have a thoughtful dialogue with the city council.’ Wayfarers passing through San Antonio International Airport will be out of luck if they’re craving Chick-fil-A’s crispy chicken or waffle fries, as the city council has banned

The ACLU should be all over this except that they´re not. Chick-fil-A has never broken the law.

Not only do they make the best chicken sandwich and fries, they also have customer service down to a science. Their strategy of taking orders while in line in the drive through when it is super busy cuts the wait time by probably 2/3. VERY well run corporation of franchises.

Last time I was at the airport, Chick-fil-A had a huge line of customers waiting to order food. None of the other restaurants had a line. Pretty much says it all.

I have a friend, who is gay, he has gone off the deep end regarding Chick Fil A. I told him no one is forcing him to eat there. The closest Chick Fil A is about 20 miles from my house. At 75 years of age, I just don´t care to make the drive for one of their sandwiches. I love the fact they are Christian based and welcome anyone to eat there. What ever happened to the Little Red Hen the kicked Sarah Sanders and her family out? Are they still in business?

Why is it that certain organizations only have to be ‘alleged ‘ to have done something to be punished. Maybe someone should ‘allege’ San Antonio airport is against lgbtq and let’s see what .

The lie-beral Demon-Rat Taliban has taken over another city council -- and is going to destroy everything that does not meet their rigid socialist beliefs!!!!!
Few people actually take the time to understand what candidates for city council and school boards actually stand for. And lie-berals take advantage of that laziness and stupidity to gain control and implement their socialist agenda on their citizens who do not share their feelings, but were too lazy and stupid to stop them from being elected!!!!!!

My guess is they, Chick-fil-A, didn´t go along with demand for money to support their sick sex cause. It´s a shakedown that most corps pay as a cost of doing sales. Racketeering is the real name.

Part of the problem #8 is that in SA candidates for local office are not allowed to list a party affiliation. Granted, in many cases it wouldn’ mean much today but it would help as a starting point for further examination.
Anyway, after over 20 years of living there, the last five have been spent trying to leave, which we finally did. It’s a dirty, corrupt place inside Loop 410 and just getting worse.

Contrast this with the bakers who didn´t want to bake a cake... "Just bake the cake!" was the national rejoinder. Now, they aren´t giving the company the chance to just "sell ´em a sandwich!"

Prove it, liars! One piece of evidence?

Chick-Fil-A indicates they are willing to have thoughtful dialogue with the council members. The trouble is liberals are incapable of being thoughtful and they hate dialogue since they are unwilling to tolerate stances that are different from theirs; they prefer monologues (the louder the better) where only their side is counted as being worthwhile.
It is a waste of time to present any liberal with facts that are inconvenient to them.

This is, pure and simple, government thuggery. Chick-fil-A has never refused to serve any LGBTQ person that I know of. But, the leftists in San Antonio don´t like Chick-fil-A´s Christian view or faith. This, people, is what you get when Dems are in charge. You don´t have to violate the law, you just have to have the wrong politics.

Best part, they´re closed on Sundays so their employees can go to church or have a day off with their families. It costs the franchises millions!

Chick-fil-A has no legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior, as everyone is served and welcome at their facilities. Their CEO stated that he was personally against gay marriage. That is not at all the same as anti-gay behavior by store employees. Leftists need to take remedial education in logical fallacies.

The good thing about eating at Chick-fil-A is that you don´t have to worry about where the employee´s hands have been!

I will probably never have a reason to be in the San Antonio airport, but if I did i would go out of my way to bring a Chick-fill-A meal and have a leisurely lunch in the main concourse.

mmm...wonder where people will get food if/when they happen to find themselves stranded at SAIA in the middle of the night - on a Sunday - when all other places are closed?
Think it was in Atlanta when they broke their cardinal rule and opened, during a snow storm, in the middle of the night - on a Sunday - to feed hungry passengers.
Is that the kind of ´behavior´ the SA council finds so objectionable?

No proof of any alleged "legacy of anti-LGTBQ behavior." Just the accusation. Chick-fil-A had a founder who was a professing Christian. That is enough to get you banned from any liberal city´s public places. Tolerance as a virtue only extends to those who agree with liberals. Otherwise, you´re a hater, and therefore out!

Chick-fil-A makes the best chicken sandwich in the business. And their employees are unfailingly wonderful to deal with. As Sam Kinison, an evangelist (really!) before becoming a stand up comic, did actually say to out of the closet gays, "You are in violation of Romans 1."
