Florida is the most politically prejudiced state. That’s not something to brag about.

Florida’s political partisans don’t like each other. That might seem obvious, but compared to other states we take it to the extreme. Our partisans — liberal and conservative — are among the most politically prejudiced in the country, according to polling firm PredictWise. That’s not something to be proud of. The analysis, featured in a recent article in the Atlantic magazine, ranked each county in the nation for political tolerance. An accompanying map shaded the least prejudiced counties in white. Dark green indicated most prejudice. Florida was entirely dark green, every one of our 67 counties. No other state was so biased.

This paper used to be the only decent one in Florida. It was sold to Tampa Bay Times, a liberal rag. We now are paperless in Florida. Its all junk.

The bias in the article is stark. Florida is prejudiced because it has an older, whiter, richer, better educated, and more conservative population. They are the "intolerant". Obviously, for this liberal hack writer, it is impossible for a younger, darker, poorer, less educated, and more progressive population to be prejudiced or intolerant.

It has got to be killing them that DeSantis is being seen as so successful so early in his administration.

Having gone to HS and college in Fla and had friends and relatives there for 55 years, and a rural land owner, and visit often, most long time Floridians are conservative, politically. Good solid rednecks and ex-military folks.
Gainesville, like most college towns is a lefty haven, although the large number of good Fla rednecks around tempers them a bit. Tallahassee is really bad, college town and political town, way out of line with much of the state. Pretty much all of south Fla is populated by northerners who moved down in retirement from some miserable, high tax leftist place and brought their miserable, high tax leftist ideas with them.
They are not well received by real Floridians.

Partisan is OK as long as it’s liberal, when it’s conservative it’s criminal. The libs destroyed Virginia...next it’s Florida,Texas & Georgia.....then it’s Socialism for life! That’s what open borders & illegals voting , 16 years old voting is all about!

It´s hard not to be prejudiced against a group that accuses you of being a racist, homophobic, xenophobic, misogynist, white nationalist skinhead just because you don´t march in lockstep with their liberal ideology.

Oh, what a load of garbage! Try being a conservative in a New England state. The political prejudice is unbearable.
Which is why we moved from there to Florida where there are, at least for the time being, normal people.
Floridaman not withstanding.

Looked up the source, PredictWise.
It is a ´Progressive´ (that is, hard left) ´polling and political persuasion´ site..
Cut-and-paste from their home page:
--------------------------------------------
Polling and Analytics
In the age of big data, clients should have access to a baseline of robust, actionable data that informs the creation of their custom polls, and generates the deepest audience insights for every dollar spent. Our data-driven polling leverages digital in a way that no other service does today, by providing access to an interactive insights tool with best-in-class custom polling and analytics services.
---------------------------------------
It seems to me that these people are doing something that I thought of (independently, but I never went beyond the initial idea.)
It looks like they have enough digital data on pretty much everyone that they can use ´data´ to ´drive´ a poll the way the customer wants.
For instance, they can scrape credit-card data.... do you buy at Wal-Mart or Target?
Do you buy at Starbucks?
Do you drive a Ford pickup truck or a Prius?
What magazines to you subscribe to?
What news websites do you visit?
Companies like this gather up this data and match it against political polling then they ´poll´ not random people, but people who have an online trail that indicates that they will vote a certain way on certain issues.
The company then runs the false poll, and the customer can put out press releases, etc. that push the desired outcome.
Read again their opening statement:
"In the age of big data, clients should have access to a baseline of robust, actionable data that informs the creation of their custom polls"
They USE ´Big Data´ to ´Inform´ the ´Creation´ of their polls.
Tell ´em what Leftist poll results you want, give ´em some CASH, and they will provide ´em!

First, the older northerners came, then the Latinos came and multiplied. They talk about the influx coming across the border. Florida gets a big share, plus most of the Caribbean has moved here. Frankly, I look like an Albino in a sea of brown.
They talk about the Villages. Snowbirds tired of so many Latinos all across the state in their favorite spots, gravitated to the Villages. Strange thing- the streets in the Villages have Spanish names.

The article said NY was one of the most tolerant. I fell down laughing. They must have only looked at NYC and Albany where all the libtard commie reside, then applied the outcome to the rest of the state.

I´ve read separately that the most .... bigoted might be the word... people are older liberals.
This might be a bad sign for Florida.
Also, any study that says that "I don´t know anyone who voted for HIM" New Yawkers are among the most tolerant needs an adult stem cell treatment in the brain.

I would add this to the map key:
"Tolerant" = liberal
"Prejudiced= patriotic.
I realized this when I took the provided link to my state and it was immediately evident.

I’m sorry, but SF Bay Area has to be several shades darker than the rest of the country. Nowhere else has had nearly as many politically-motivated physical attacks.

Florida is unusual in that the silent majority isn´t going to the ovens quietly, like they did in Colorado and Arizona. That´s what distinguishes Florida from most other states, and should be a lesson in what´s to come for Texas and Utah.
