Everybody Is Wrong About The

Legendary New York Times editor Abe Rosenthal once fired a newly hired reporter when he learned she’d had an intimate relationship with one of the people she reported on at her previous newspaper. Michael Goodwin explains what happened next: Word of the incident spread quickly through the newsroom, and several female reporters complained to Rosenthal. They argued that the woman was treated unfairly, at which point Abe raised his finger for silence and said something to this effect: ‘I don’t care if you f–k an elephant on your personal time, but then you can’t cover the circus for the paper.’ The Times

Another excellent report from the highly esteemed Mrs. Hemingway.
She has rapidly become a trusted personal favorite reporter, always worth reading her pieces or hearing her commentary on TV.

I´m confused by the headline. All parties involved did wrong as Ms. Hemingway points out so well. "Everybody is wong" seems to suggest that the article was going to dispel the corruption opposed to describe it.

Am I missing something?

#2, I misunderstood, too.

I think she means, that Watkins is wrong, the NYT is wrong, etc.

Not that what we understood about the situation is wrong information.

Joe Manchin poses as a moderate. Yet, to save his Senate seat, he has resorted to the same sordid tactics employed by his most radical Democrat accomplices. Facing a serious challenge from Republican Patrick Morrisey in a state that President Trump carried by 42 percent in 2016, Manchin is telling his West Virginia constituents that Republicans want to take away their health care. Recently, for example, Manchin told a group in Beckley that 800,000 West Virginians are in danger of losing their medical coverage because the GOP has evil designs on Obamacare’s protections involving preexisting conditions. Senator Manchin is lying.

The creepiest witness to ever grace a Congressional hearing, minced in his seat and evaded questions for hours on end Thursday. His name? Peter Strzok (pronounced “Struck” for the Democrats on the committee who kept mispronouncing it). The general impression from his testimony? What a complete weirdo. It is astonishing that someone so strange, supercilious and seemingly evil reached so high a position in law enforcement. Congressional hearings are always obnoxious but usually it’s the Congressmen and women who are weird, unprofessional, and nonsensical (and there was plenty of that) but they all were upstaged by

I’ve seen President Clinton deny he had a relationship with “that woman, Miss Lewinsky.” I’ve seen President Obama assure people they will get to keep their doctor under ObamaCare. And I’ve seen former press secretary Sean Spicer declare that President Trump’s inaugural crowd was larger than Obama’s. But these falsehoods pale in comparison to the performances of a series of “deep state” witnesses who have combined chutzpah with balderdash, culminating so far in the testimony of FBI agent Peter Strzok. Let’s review just some of the highlights.

There is some very wise political advice in a popular song these days: “Oh baby, why don’t you just meet me in the middle?” America is not a country of the right or the left but a country squarely in the middle and, yet, our clickbait-driven world has suffocated the true majority of the country. The song goes on: “Of just how we got into this mess, got so aggressive. I know we meant all good intentions.” With shrill rallies on the steps of the Supreme Court protesting nominations before they are even made, our politics is becoming almost a caricature

President Donald Trump´s nomination of eminently qualified, mainstream conservative Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court -- combined with the predictable Democratic outrage machine -- has put red state Democratic US senators in a political box: side with their constituents or with the clown show that is the modern American left.Trump´s prime-time announcement of Kavanaugh´s nomination on Monday was beautifully played by the White House. The name did not leak, leaving liberal picketers to make protest signs for multiple possible nominees. This made clear that protesters couldn´t have cared less about the personnel, just that Donald Trump would be signing

The best argument for the necessity of constitutional originalists on the Supreme Court is right before our eyes. You can see it in the news, in our political discourse; you hear the shrieks of it everywhere: It’s the hysteria of the American left over the loss of power over the nation’s highest court. And now they’ve finally become quite unhinged. President Donald Trump’s nomination of conservative judge Brett Kavanaugh has pushed them over the edge. Not all liberals are hysterical. Some are trying to be intellectually honest, in thanking those most responsible for Trump being able to shape the court:

Even before President Trump chose Brett Kavanaugh to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, political henchmen and media hacks began rummaging through his record like so many rats in a ripe dumpster. Their sojourn in the slime revealed nothing more sinister than a conscientious jurist who has actually read the Constitution. To their dismay, his most notable opinion as a judge on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals suggests that he’ll vote to strike down Obamacare’s individual mandate, as well as its guaranteed issue and community rating provisions, when Texas v. Prince Charles and Prince William reportedly ‘snubbed’ the US President during his visit to Britain - leaving the Queen to meet Donald Trump alone at Windsor Castle. The royal father and son apparently shared their desire to not take part in the arrangements during informal discussions regarding the president’s four-day tour. Trump’s trip was not a state visit and so only the Queen greeted the president and his wife Melania. However even on working trips dignitaries expect to see more members of the royal family than only the Queen. When deciding which royals to include in the meeting, senior courtiers shared concerns about

Judge Brett Kavanaugh is going into the Supreme Court confirmation process with a hail of rhetorical arrows zinging by him, including a phony letter-writing campaign aimed at unsuspecting American newspaper editors. At least 21 papers were duped last week, including big-market brands like the Dallas Morning News and The Washington Times. The effort is an example of public-relations ´astroturfing,´ a technique meant to simulate genuine grassroots support for an idea or cause. Watching FBI agent Peter Strzok battle with Congress, my initial reaction was pure anger. His repeated, arrogant insistence that he had done nothing wrong despite tons of evidence to the contrary convinced me he deserved immediate firing — if not the firing squad. Gradually, though, anger gave way to amazement as Strzok grew increasingly combative and condescending. Given his predicament, the sneering and smirking were stupid, and yet he persisted. Who is this jerk, I wondered, and how in the hell did he get to be a big shot at the FBI? And why are taxpayers still paying for the privilege of

Mariah Lopez, 13, and her grandmother Oralia Mendoza, 49, were killed on June 4 in Moon Cemetery outside of Huntsville, Alabama, prosecutors revealed in court on Thursday. The new details in the case came in a hearing for 26-year-old Yoni Aguilar, who along with 34-year-old Israel Palomino is charged with two counts each of capital murder in the slayings. All he really needs to make his meeting with Mr. Trump a success is for it to take place without any major friction — providing a symbolic end to Western efforts to isolate Russia over its actions against Ukraine in 2014, its meddling in the United States election in 2016 and other examples of what the United States Treasury Department has described as Russia’s “malign activity” around the
