Judge Andrew Napolitano: Why I am so deeply
disappointed by Trump´s Suprement Court pick

Fox News, by Judge Andrew P. Napolitano

Original Article

Posted By:Harlowe, 7/12/2018 9:51:07 AM

When Donald Trump started running for the Republican nomination for president in June 2015, he began by attacking the Republican establishment in Washington, and he began his attack by calling the establishment "the swamp." His real target was the permanent government and its enablers in the legal, financial, diplomatic and intelligence communities in Washington. These entities hover around power centers no matter which party is in power. Beneath the swamp, Trump argued, lies the deep state. (Snip) On Monday night, he rewarded the swamp denizens and deep state outliers by nominating one of their own to the Supreme Court.

Comments:
Judge Napolitano’s “back story” is quite interesting.

I read this carefully because I like Napolitano. He doesn´t make his case and is vague about Kavanaugh´s precise "transgressions". I don´t buy the Judge arguments here. BK has a track record of strict constructionalism and that´s good enough.

I agree with #1. Napolitano was never at a level where he should be a “legal authority” let alone a “senior legal authority”. But most who watch TV don’t care about pundits’ credentials.

I don’t give a rats patootie whether Napolitano is “deeply disappointed”.

Pompous little man with the worst ever-changing hair on television.

Kavanaugh has been called weak on the Fourth Amendment, but we have Gorsuch and Thomas to counterbalance that. OTOH, he´s a staunch defender of the Second Amendment, which is good.

I believe God is in control, therefore I won´t be concerned about him til he´s confirmed. Then comes the time we should keep him in our regular prayer time - just as we should, or do, for all those already in authority over us.

Judge Incompetano seems unable to deal with contradictions as he creates the perfect supreme court judge.
A young, new attorney, to score the highest possible internship, goes for the U.S. Supreme Court. That puts him in D.C. and keeps him there for several years.

Napolitano states why he is disappointed in Trump´s choice, and he has the right to his opinion . From what I´ve read about the 4 remaining choices before the announcement, I found things I liked and disliked about each. I always keep in mind that any of them were a million times better than what Hillary would have chosen. And, can´t we disagree with Napolitano without knocking his hair? No matter how you look at it, TRUMP has to get his nomination confirmed which is not guaranteed. Kavanaugh may not be perfect, but he is confirmable and a long way from Sotomayor and Ginsburg. TRUMP could possible get another chance before his term is up and would very likely if elected again. Liberals of both parties know this so I think the apparent resistance is really coming from the usual suspects, but an informal silent accommodation is likely lest a more radical conservative candidate be rammed thru with a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth and the inevitable political bloodshed. With an election coming up, everyone is going to try to appear on the "correct" side of this issue depending on their constituency.

LONDON – Thousands of Trump supporters and other right-wing activists took to the nation’s capital on Saturday--a day after anti-Trump protesters had dominated the city. While the displays of right-wing support were nowhere near as large as the enormous anti-Trump march that demanded the international media’s attention the day before, it was still a significant show of support for Trump from those eager to counter the claim that Trump had been unanimously rejected by Britons. The day started with a small pro-Trump rally outside the U.S. Embassy, featuring numerous red “MAGA” hats and U.S. and U.K. flags--as well as a
