Feds´ new rules could stop asylum surge
Washington Times, by Stephen Dinan

Original Article

Posted By:Ribicon, 7/11/2018 10:56:36 PM

The government’s citizenship agency issued new guidelines this week that will make it much tougher for many of the Central Americans streaming into the U.S. to claim asylum. Asylum officers at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services were instructed to make asylum-seekers prove not only that they were specifically targeted in their home countries, but that their governments either condoned the persecution or were so indifferent that they might as well have been complicit. That undercuts the standard argument given by many of the migrants making their way north from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala, who describe dangerous neighborhoods and rough home lives

Comments:
"My home nation is lousy and I want to spread my wonderful culture to the USA" is no longer grounds for asylum. Beautiful.

Splendid. And those American open border activists who coach illegals on the scripts to recite, will at least be slowed down for a while. Illegals are gaming our system and defrauding us. Each year, half a million illegals cross our border and if we don´t bring what has become a veritable invasion to a halt, we´re going to lose this country.

If they are seeking asylum, aren´t they required to ask at the adjoining country? How many countries are they crossing to come here for the free ride and drop babies? Let Mexico help them.

At one time, people from 13 countries were illegally crossing our border. How did they get to Mexico from China and the ME?

Cheaper to build the wall. Time to start.

The jolly family from Chechnya came to the U.S. on tourist visas, and when the visas expired, they applied for refugee status - that if they returned to Chechnya, they were at risk because of their muslim religion.
They were granted refugee status by the U.S. government, and eventually, the brothers blew up the Boston Marathon.
But after being granted refugee status, and before blowing up the Boston Marathon, some of the family members went on vacation - to Chechnya!
How about that!!

I still find this language too weak, but I agree it is gong in the right direction.

As prior posted...asylum is granted to a swath of people who are experiencing gross atrocities by their native government. Such as genocide, mass rapes like what happened in Kosovo, Christian persecution like what is going on in Muslim ME countries.

It is not applicable to people who do not like their neighborhood or drug cartels are running about.

Furthermore, I would like Trump to deal with Mexico because by allowing the Centrals access to Mexico for crossing, the country facilitated an international illegality.

Trenton, N.J. — New Jersey set aside $2.1 million to help immigrants facing deportation in the state, money that advocates say will go a long way in helping but still falls short of the estimated cost of legal representation. Democratic Gov. Talk about putting the “p” in “protest.” George Lopez, an outspoken and frequent critic of President Donald Trump, pretended to urinate on the POTUS’ Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Tuesday. Clutching a small water bottle, Lopez, 57, greeted fans before squeezing the bottle over the star from his own crotch area, perhaps in reference to the elusive “pee tape” Trump was rumored to have back in 2017. The comedian even included a small shake for effect, much to the delight of onlookers and fans nearby. Once he was tapped out of water, he told his crew, “Alright, let’s go.”

Meanwhile, illegal aliens arriving in America have no such requirement. Instead, trespassing tribes relocate, and when they do, rather than assimilate, they transfer habits and activities indigenous to the countries from whence they migrated.
