YouTube TV Service Suffers Outage in Middle
of England-Croatia World Cup Semifinal

YouTube TV, Google’s internet-delivered subscription TV service, was hit with nationwide outages Wednesday — right in the middle of Fox’s broadcast of the 2018 World Cup semifinal match between England and Croatia. The YouTube TV service interruption also came in the middle of men’s quarterfinal matches at Wimbledon, which is broadcast in the U.S. on ESPN. On Twitter, YouTube TV acknowledged the technical problems, saying in a post at noon Pacific, “Hey everyone — sincere apologies for streaming issues with YouTube TV. The timing is horrible but we’re working to be up and running again ASAP!”

Comments:
Switched to YouTube TV a few months ago and experienced this today.. switched to free TV and didn´t miss much.

Cable also goes out occasionally. Keep an over the air antenna ready if you need it.

Reminds me of the "We´re out of coffee" scene in Airplane 2. If you can, go back thirty-six years.

#4 would probably be happy to know that some of us Irredeemables have somehow absorbed the spirit of soccer aka "football"--we all played it when we were in grammar school, and I even played it somewhat seriously in college--and actually enjoy watching the ball being kicked strategically from player to player, headed down the field toward the opposition´s goal. Brings back memories. Would rather watch today than compete. Would like to live into my seventies, at least. With cluster headaches, no headers, please. bad idea.

At least in competitive golf, we were the ones doing the hitting. We were never hit.

To split hairs, as a recreational golfer, I´ve been hit four times, many other very close calls. Two times in one round :-O , but of the four, only one on the fly.

I played the game and coached it for years. It requires greater conditioning than anything Americans ever invented and is a lot more fun to play than watch.

Trump Country, it turns out,

Since President Trump’s election, journalists, political scientists and others from across the United States and around the world have visited our little southern Ohio town, population 6,600, to study the natives. Naturally, patronizing local eateries at breakfast or lunchtime is usually part of their itinerary. Some have told me later that, during their interviews, they went out of their way to identify themselves as liberals who have little use for our president. To their credit, they wanted to be honest about who they were and what they were doing. They were sometimes treated with a degree of skepticism, but without

Is Jeff Glor headed out CBS’ door? Page Six is told that just six months after Glor took over as the anchor of “CBS Evening News,” execs at the network are already thinking about replacing him. Sources say that after Glor lost nearly 1.5 million viewers since his debut in December 2017, top brass told Glor and his producers that they need to turn things around quickly. Insiders say that CBS News president David Rhodes even called a meeting on Tuesday night to address the situation. “He unleashed on the team,” an insider told Page Six. “He said how disappointed and

It was surely Barack Obama’s profound aversion to the use of American military power that so enfeebled his nuclear diplomacy and made his atomic accord with Iran the worst arms-control agreement since the Washington Naval Treaty of 1922. I do not know whether a more forceful president and secretary of state—say a Democratic version of Ronald Reagan and George Schultz—could have gotten a “good deal” with Tehran; it just boggles the mind to believe that a better deal wasn’t possible. A stronger president and secretary of state certainly would have been willing to walk away. Neither captured by Iranian demands

Tourists taking the ferry from this tourist town to the island of Cozumel now walk down a wharf lined with police, heavily armed soldiers and bomb-sniffing dogs. Those safeguards came after a Feb. 21 explosion ripped through one of the ferries, injuring 24 people, including five Americans. Explosives were later found on another ferry owned by the same company. “It’s something that makes you feel safer,” Roberto Cintrón, president of the Cancún hotel owners’ association, said about the soldiers and security after a recent ferry ride to Cozumel. “It’s the complete opposite situation of the insecurity many people think of.”

Prince Charles and Prince William reportedly ‘snubbed’ the US President during his visit to Britain - leaving the Queen to meet Donald Trump alone at Windsor Castle. The royal father and son apparently shared their desire to not take part in the arrangements during informal discussions regarding the president’s four-day tour. Trump’s trip was not a state visit and so only the Queen greeted the president and his wife Melania. However even on working trips dignitaries expect to see more members of the royal family than only the Queen.
