U.S. Navy drafts plans to house 25,000
immigrants at cost of $233 million

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Navy is drafting plans to house up to 25,000 immigrants on its bases and other facilities, at an estimated cost of about $233 million over six months, as the Trump administration seeks to ease a mounting crisis on the Mexican border, a U.S. official said on Friday. The Navy has not so far been asked to provide accommodation for migrants who have entered the United States illegally. The official, who asked not to be named, stressed that the draft memo, which looks at setting up housing on Navy airfields in Alabama, was for planning purposes only.

Comments:
So the number of illegals (officially labeled as "immigrants") has increased from 20,000 to 25,000. And the final result will be? Oh, silly me! Will there ever be a final result or will this damaging tsunami waves continue to roll in and wipe out thousands of years of history and character?

Don´t get me started on all we were put through as "legal aliens" with serious background checks! We had to register our whereabouts every January. Oh there´s lots more but what´s the use? Just barge in here and sign up for social services.

Look at it this way. The left is building a great case to build a wall, but they don´t know it yet. This housing will be permanent since there will always be more illegal immigrants entering the country. The left will see to it that even more come.

The only way to stem the influx is to build a wall. It doesn´t have to even stop all the illegal immigrants. If it stops enough of them, it will be a success since there will be fewer people to house. It will be cheaper too.

How much will it cost to maintain housing for illegals? 233 million is just the first installment!

What will they do when gang bangers and cartel types get mixed in with family immigrants? How much security will be needed? Guaranteed you will need security.

In the end, our government will have to empty all housing by sending everybody back over the border. Anyone caught sneaking cross the border will be sent back. Force anyone trying to get asylum to do it through legal channels. People trying to sneak across the border have no right to asylum. They can apply for Asylum in the United States at any embassy in Mexico or any other country. They do not get it by just simply walking up to the border.

I guess this is necessary because what else can you do with thousands of people that need to be contained?

Still, it´s a shame that we have thousands of veterans with problems and combat related injuries living on the streets, and, who will remain on the streets while illegal foreign nationals are housed, fed and receive medical treatment.

It is infuriating to hear platitudes from Republicans about border security. There is none. Our country is being invaded because Congress lacks the will to deal with the crisis. And I wonder how long our betters think they can get away with giving lip service to constituents about illegal immigration. Decades ago my mother read a book that discussed the moral dilemma the USA would face if there was a violent revolution in a large population country such as Brazil, and hundreds of thousands of refugees gathered at the southern border. If that happened, my guess is the country would respond with political and economic suicide that liberals seek.

Let´s do some simple arithmetic:

$233 million divided by 25,000 = $9300 a head, or $1550 a month over six months.

Offer each family $5000 payable $100 a month for 50 months to stay home...revocable if they return.

Having looked at the logistics of the problem, it would be waaaay cheaper to place observation and firing points all along the border, occupied 24/7, with the border area designated a free fire zone. And that even includes the cost of signs in the languages of the majority of infiltrators, along with English, that you get shot if you proceed past that point.

Subtract the money spent on illegals from the foreign aid to the country they claim to have come from. Additionally, tax remittances to these countries and apply it to the expenses.
