ABC has confirmed that it has greenlit a Roseanne spinoff for the fall season without series creator and star Roseanne Barr. The network had canceled the rebooted sitcom over a racist tweet by Barr but will go ahead with a new show after she agreed to forgo any creative or financial participation in it. John Goodman, Sara Gilbert and Laurie Metcalf will reprise their roles in the new show that has the working title The Conners. (Video/Photo) Other Roseanne co-stars including Alecia Goranson and Michael Fishman will also appear in the spinoff. In a statement issued by the show´s producer,

Do they really think those 3 can carry the show? We´ll see, Rosanne for all her warts was the show, that´s why it was named after her and she had top billing.

I didn´t watch the original Roseanne very often, but "Darlene" (Sara Gilbert) was always my least favorite character.

They just don´t get it! The reason the show was such a Big hit was Roseanne! She was like all the Deplorables who voted for Trump. Without her the message and the Bones of the show are gone. I would bet the Farm this show bombs without her. Another message will be sent! Remember, you can lead a Horse to water but you can´t make him drink! We´re not drinking what they´re putting out there!!

Hope they are prepared for serious disappointment, because the show concept IS Roseanne, not the rest of the family.
The fun of the show was watching the rest of the family interact with Roseanne, and her outsmarting the family, and always being right.

Without the catalyst of Roseanne, it is reduced to nothing more than a liberal tongue bath. Who in their right minds wants to watch that?

Rosanne made a stupid remark about Valerie Jarret and loses everything.

Peter Fonda advocated for the kidnapping and implied rape of a twelve year old.

Fonda´s movie premieres in theaters across the country today.

ABC has a guilty conscience on firing Roseanne so they continue with this soon to be flop. Roseanne did away with her 9nterests so that HER show could continue and the cast and crew would have jobs for a while. ABC should have accepted her apology and let bygones be bygones, but you can´t have anyone insult the Prophet Obongo and his closest lackeys. Therefore, forget about the millions of dollars Disney was raking in from the show and show solidarity with those disgraceful people.

What Peter Fonda tweeted was a hundred times worse. His tweets were vicious, violent, vulgar, inciting, wished children would be kidnapped and attacked by pedophiles, women be caged and sexually assaulted. And the media dropped the story in ten seconds whereas they kept Roseanne in the headlines until she was destroyed. PC is not only wrong, it is nothing but a political cudgel to be used to destroy anyone who is not progressive.

I see the Roseanne spinoff as a fail. Without Roseanne, there is no Roseanne Show. I cannot see the remainder of the cast being able to carry off the show, as they were "fillers". They needed Roseanne to play off their parts. Can you imagine a bunch of fillers turning a once good show into anything but a flop? Despite what Roseanne said about V Jarret, she apologized. Do applogies no longer matter? John Goodman might try to lead but in the Roseanne show with Roseanne he was a definite 2nd bencher.

I do not know or care of Roseanne Bar´s political comments or affiliations, but I do know that she alone created an entire genre of TV comedy that was unique at the time as it confronted issues relevant at the time within a certain demographic that had been totally ignored. "Married with Children" was around the same time. Not my taste in comedy, but I recognize her profound influence. She also escalated her co-stairs status in Hollywood.

Liberal actors can spout their hatred toward the US and the President and there are no consequences financially and artistically.

Without her the show will be a total failure. She was the show. Goodman is a character actor both in TV and film but he cannot carry the sitcom. I imagine that the other returning actors are seeking a good pay as no one has seen them since the show so long ago.

Disgraceful. Embarrassing. A complete lack of grasp of the situation. Such were the observations about President Trump’s performance at the joint press conference with Vladimir Putin. Everyone is free to like or dislike the way Trump navigates the world, but I would suggest those descriptions are more suited to the swarm of wild overreaction. It has become a familiar rhythm for the President to do or say something, only to be attacked reflexively by his harshest opponents. But the Monday festival of totally wrongheaded analysis ensnared even the occasionally sympathetic. One could expect the bug-eyed calls for

President Donald Trump’s comments during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday were “treasonous,” former CIA Director John Brennan asserted. “Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes & misdemeanors,’” Brennan, a vocal Trump critic, wrote on Twitter. “It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???” Trump and Putin fielded questions from reporters at a joint summit in Helsinki following a one-on-one meeting earlier in the day. Trump praised Putin during

A 63-year-old father of 43 children was found beaten to death Sunday afternoon in his home on Chicago´s West Side. The body of John Hearring -- known as Nicholas -- was discovered with head trauma in his upstairs apartment in the 1000-block of North Leamington Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood. Multiple family members confirmed that he had 43 children. Hearring was a long-time resident there and well-known in the neighborhood. "He was the nicest man you´d ever want to meet. I don´t get it. All this killing is so senseless and now they are targeting the elderly," said Gwen Bridgeforth, his daughter-in-law.

Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the new darling of the Democratic party. In a recent interview, however, the upstart politico running in a hyper-liberal district in New York did not show command of the issues. Ocasio-Cortez was being interviewed by Margaret Hoover on the PBS show ‘Firing Line.’ Hoover asked very basic, softball questions of the young congressional candidate. In explaining her positions on the economy, Hoover asked Ocasio-Cortez “Do you think that capitalism has failed to deliver for working class Americans?” Hoover cited a currently booming US economy and low unemployment.
