Michelle Obama Joins Laura Bush
in Slamming Trump Border Policy:
‘Sometimes Truth Transcends Party’

Michelle Obama joined her fellow former first lady Laura Bush Monday in criticizing the hard-line Trump administration immigration policy that has led to families being separated at the border. Bush, the wife of former President George W. Bush, penned a tweet over the weekend in which she echoed the widespread condemnation of the new directive from Attorney General Jeff Sessions. “I live in a border state,” Bush said. “I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.” Quoting that tweet, Obama wrote that “sometimes truth transcends

Trump has painted himself into a corner here.
Earlier this year I predicted that he would get hammered about border control if he continued to ignore it heading into the mid terms.
The current problem is worse than how Barry left it, with more, not less border crossings and a major invasion offensive is building on the Mexican side of the border.
They are planning large open defiance of our laws in a way never before seen because they called his bluff and he had no hand.
If Trump won´t call up the militia (not the National Guard) to the border, they need to call themselves up as was done under Obama.
Trump can chose to lead the effort, or hinder it, but it must be done.

American working mothers will be dropping off crying kids in the morning and no reporter is sneaking into day care centers to record their cries. That mom is taking care of her family, but her heavily taxed paycheck is also going to support illegal alien children to the tune of $34,000 per year. Social workers, meals, housing, clothes, etc. She´s more likely to get a middle finger from an MS-13 thug than a simple "thank you."

The Bushes have always supported essentially “open borders” for cheap Mexican labor being allowed to enter the USA, so this latest Bush statement regarding mass illegal immigration across the Mexican border should not be a surprise.

Besides the Bush Family is still discombobulated over Donald Trump running for President and KO’ing Jeb Bush in the Republican primaries, thus taking away from Jeb Bush the experience and the honor of being beaten in an election by the first woman president.

As satisfying as the abortion analogy might be, it doesn´t fit well, since 1. the child is killed, not put into protective custody / detention, and 2. the ´separation from mother´ is performed at the mother´s request, not against her will. Trying to portray the two as analogous isn´t helpful for either issue.

Democrats have been feeling their oats with socialism these days, basking in the wins they´ve gotten. The ascent of Democratic Socialists of America member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in a Democratic congressional primary in New York, has given them a new battery. Ocasio´s their new "it" girl. American politics have borrowed a lot of ideas from sports. Nowadays, everyone has become familiar with certain phrases that we use in everyday life, often without even thinking about their origins. For example, the phrase "pull no punches" originated in boxing, and the proverbial "drop the ball” came from football. The well-known rule of "three strikes and you´re out" came from baseball. The latter is the best way to characterize President Trump´s attitude toward Vladimir Putin. It seems that leftists in America still cannot forgive Putin for the destruction of the ideals that were nurtured in the West by the Soviet

One disastrous tweet has finally revealed Elon Musk for what he is: a fraud. Enraged that a British cave diver called his idea to rescue the Thai soccer team for what it was — “a p.r. stunt [with] absolutely no chance of working” — Musk took to Twitter and called him a “pedo.” Just like that, Tesla’s market value plummeted by $2 billion. Musk has been in business since 2002. His stated goal is nothing short of transforming humanity through his products: his electric cars, space travel, and an underground high-speed Hyperloop system. He has yet to succeed at anything but somehow spins every

New York –Twice-failed presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton spoke at Ozyfest, a two-day festival in Central Park, on Saturday and she looked terrible. Hillary donned a mumu-style top that nearly touched the floor and white pants. Her hair was disheveled and she had very prominent bags under her eyes. To think this woman almost became the 45th president of the US….Hillary Clinton complained about Russia and Vladimir Putin for almost 45 minutes straight during a Q&A session with Laurene Powell Jobs, founder of Emerson Collection. Old Crooked claimed the Russians are still trying to hack into our computer systems – she

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attacked President Trump for not “defending a diplomat” who “has spent his career standing up for America” on Thursday.Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul — the diplomat in question — was among the group of American officials that Russia sought to question in connection with a fraudulent scheme to launder hundreds of millions of dollars out of Russia to help fund Hillary Clinton’s campaign. The Trump administration has yet to disclose its position on the case. As Sarah Sanders told reporters on Wednesday, “The president is going to meet with his team, and

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is making plans to move the headquarters of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) out of Washington, D.C., to a city in the West. The federal government owns 640 million acres in the U.S., or roughly 28 percent of the nation’s entire landmass. The BLM manages 248.3 million acres of public land, more than any other agency, according to a March 2017 report by the Congressional Research Service. Today, @Interior confirmed that they are planning to move the BLM HQ west. This is great news since 99% of the land that the BLM manages is located

CLEARWATER — Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri announced Friday that his agency will not arrest a man deputies say shot and killed another man during an argument over a handicap parking space. The incident falls under Florida’s self-defense law known as "stand your ground," the sheriff said during a news conference. The law gives immunity to those in fear of their lives who use force to defend themselves. The shooting "is within the bookends of ‘stand your ground’ and within the bookends of force being justified," the sheriff said, later adding, "I’m not saying I agree with it, but I don’t make

In the past few days, President Trump has given at least some Republicans reason to express displeasure over his relationship with Russia. First he performed a pathetic ritual of subservience before Vladimir Putin, standing beside the Russian leader — after a private meeting between the two, which no aides were permitted to attend — and dismissing the copious evidence of a Russian attack on the 2016 election in deference to Putin’s word. Then we learned that Putin had suggested that we make Americans available to the Kremlin for questioning, including Michael McFaul, the former U.S. ambassador to Russia, in exchange

A research group in New Jersey has taken a fresh look at postelection polling data and concluded that the number of noncitizens voting illegally in U.S. elections is likely far greater than previous estimates. As many as 5.7 million noncitizens may have voted in the 2008 election, which put Barack Obama in the White House. The research organization Just Facts, a widely cited, independent think tank led by self-described conservatives and libertarians, revealed its number-crunching in a report on national immigration. Just Facts President James D. Agresti and his team looked at data from an extensive Harvard/YouGov study that every

Last Friday, Maine Democrat Zak Ringelstein wasn’t ready to consider himself a formal member of the Democratic Socialists of America, even if he appreciated the organization’s values and endorsement in his bid to become a United States senator. Three days later, he told The Associated Press that was ready to become the only major-party Senate candidate in the nation to be a dues-paying democratic socialist. The swift evolution is latest evidence of a nationwide surge in the strength and popularity of an organization that, until recently, operated on the fringes of the liberal movement’s farthest left flank. But as Donald

President Donald Trump demanded on Friday that the ´$40,000,000 commissioner´ of the NFL suspend players for a whole season if they kneel during national anthem more than once. In a rehash of last year´s controversy, the President took to Twitter to blast NFL commissioner Roger Godell for not doing enough to stem the tide of players protesting racial inequality in America. ´The NFL National Anthem Debate is alive and well again - can´t believe it!,´ Trump wrote in the tweet. ´Isn´t it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart? The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif — From Malibu to Santa Cruz, wealthy people are blocking access to California’s publicly owned beaches. And no group has fought the public longer than the gated community of Hollister Ranch, about 130 miles north of Los Angeles. For more than 36 years, residents there have spent millions of dollars on lawyers and lobbyists to bar the hoi polloi from an 8.5-mile-long beach adorned with several coves. In May, after more than four years of litigation over public access to the beach, a settlement was announced between the ranch cooperative, on one side, and the California Coastal Commission

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told senior Republicans that he will schedule Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote on a date just before the November elections if Democrats demand access to the full scope of records the judge produced in the George W. Bush administration. Democrats are leveraging the access dispute to slow Kavanaugh’s nomination, as it is one of the few mechanisms they have to delay progress on the appointment. Politico reports that McConnell believes scheduling a confirmation vote in immediate proximity to the midterm elections will exacerbate political pressure on embattled Democrats from red states to support Kavanaugh. “To

If President Trump wants to shut down the critics of his performance this week in Helsinki and strengthen U.S. national security, he can do so with one bold move: Announce he is moving out most U.S. forces currently stationed in Germany and sending them to Poland. The Polish government recently presented Trump with a formal proposal to move U.S. troops from Stuttgart, Germany, to a new permanent U.S. military base in Poland. Trump should take up Warsaw on this offer. Moving U.S. troops to Poland would a bold, historic decision on par with Trump´s decision to move the U.S. Embassy
