Move over, J. Edgar Hoover; Rod Rosenstein

However bad you thought it was, it really is so much worse. However rotten and ungovernable you thought the federal swamp was, it really is so much worse. Indeed, it will take a hundred Donald Trumps to carve out all the cancer riddling this federal government. Behold, Rod Rosenstein, the very face of the swamp Leviathan. Geeky and bespectacled, he is the cancer that even America’s Founders could not imagine when they crafted a set of checks and balances designed to temper even the most monstrous of human nature. Mr. Rosenstein, one of the most powerful men in the Department of Justice, threatened to

The President could and should end the ability of the Obama KGB-Gestapo to redact anything. A neutral third party service could be employed to decide what, if anything, should be redacted.
Rosenstein should have been fired when he unlawfully appointed Mueller. But that would require an actual AG instead of a Fake AG.

Rosenstein related to Frankenstein? They have both built uncontrollable monsters.

Congress is on the verge of becoming irrelevant. It should act and act swiftly on this. But, I suspect it won´t. Democrat would rather commit political suicide than have a free nation under President Trump and the Republican´ts.

I am no lawyer but does the refusal to submit to lawful constitutional oversight get all the protections in law of common criminal defending themselves? Something seems crazy here. Congress is in the constitution and it created the department of justice. Rosenstein is resisting their oversite. Is he really allowed to legally attack congressional staffers to protect his rogue FBI?

The President fired his Secretary of State, VA head, FBI Director and others yet is oddly reluctant to dismiss Rosenstein. Don’t understand why Trump retains Rosenstein and his increasingly confused part time AG, Jeff Sessions. Either Trump is satisfied that these two have no intention of prosecuting anyone from the Obama / Clinton regime or he also believes the nonsense that a federal prosecutor is secretly working with the IG in a criminal investigation.

Trump’s continued reliance on Sessions, who has left 4 key DoJ positions, including head of the Criminal Division, unfilled for 18 months in a dispute over state marijuana laws, is bad enough. That Trump’s DoJ is both refusing to cooperate with Congress and threatening retaliation while ignoring Obama regime gross violations of federal laws are black marks on the Trump presidency. Has to end, but I doubt anything will change,

Isn’t it amazing that a law and order President has such a pathetic weak Department of Justice. Wrongdoing is literally right under this AG’s nose and he defends it. Something is terribly amiss. If Americans do not trust the Department of Justice to prosecute the guilty, we have a serious problem. I don’t know what game Jeff Sessions is playing but it is a very dangerous one. He is impeding and abetting wrong doing. How is that even possible given his job description. Something is very wrong at the DOJ.

This situation reminds me of a high school history class I was in where the teacher knew that at least one third of the class cheated on a test by having access to the test beforehand. He asked the students to confess to him if they had cheated.

Asking the DOJ to rat themselves out and investigate themselves is the height of folly. Anybody who is willing to cheat will also be willing to lie.

The incessant disparagement of J. Edgar Hoover is disgusting.

Hoover took over a corrupt FBI when he was just a kid - - and he turned it into the best and most scandal-free investigative unit in the world.

There was never a hint of corruption or disloyalty or usurpation of power in the fifty years that Hoover was FBI director.

Shame on you, Charlie Hurt - - for spreading leftist lies about a great man and loyal American!

Senator McCarthy was a great man and never uttered a false accusation. Liberals are better at political infighting than conservatives will ever be. It´s why conservatives will lose the battle for civilization.

I´m not a big fan of J. Edgar Hoover, who spied on Congress and many in the Executive Branch, and kept their secrets as blackmail to protect himself and his position, much as did Hillary with her 800 FBI files on many powerful persons in Washington. I´m no fan of Eugene McCarthy, and dispute that he "never uttered a false accusation." I think he took a justified position and went way overboard on it, damaging himself and the country.

However, I´m a big fan of PDT. I agree that he needs to declassify virtually everything the Congress has demanded of the FBI and I hope that he´ll do so a month or two prior to the November elections, when the declassification may inflict a huge power punch to elect more conservatives Congress.

If Mueller hasn´t given up by January, I believe PDT will fire Sessions and replace him with someone who will fire Rosenstein. Rosenstein is twisting himself into a pretzel to protect himself because he participated in allowing Hillary Clinton to sell the uranium reserves to Russia in return for $150mm going to the Clinton Foundation.

Both Mueller and Comey were proteges of Eric Holder. Google the WaPo story “Brothers in Arms.”

The long-awaited showdown between the Justice Department and Congress is finally here. It started late Friday afternoon. While the rest of the country was parsing the just-released report on the FBI from the Justice Department’s inspector general, senior congressional leaders and selected committee chairmen quietly met with FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein at a secure location in the basement of the Capitol. At issue was Justice and FBI’s continuing defiance of congressional subpoenas. At the top of this list is the demand from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence for documents about why and whether the

The FBI´s cover-ups and stonewalling on Wray´s watch add to his credibility problems. Both in is his press conference after the IG report was released, and in his testimony Monday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Director Wray demonstrated he was more concerned about protecting the reputation of the institution of the FBI than about the astonishing corruption of top FBI officials detailed in the IG report. For once, the Southern Poverty Law Center has to cough up for an outrageous smear. The SPLC rakes in donations by claiming to fight hate, but its lists of hate groups routinely include not just truly vile outfits but also ones that simply don’t toe a politically correct line. It went too far in listing Maajid Nawaz and Quilliam, a think tank he founded, in its 2016 “Field Guide to Anti-Muslim Extremists,” which proclaimed in part: “Extremists routinely espouse a wide range of utter falsehoods, all designed to make Muslims appear as bloodthirsty terrorists or people intent on undermining American constitutional freedoms.” Actually,

While the Trump administration is being slammed by critics for its "zero-tolerance" policy of separating children from adults who illegally enter the country, the outcry over the federal government´s handling of the sensitive issue of how to handle minors is hardly new. The Obama administration actually expanded the system of detaining families – typically mothers and their minor children – after a huge surge of Central Americans along the U.S.-Mexican border in 2014. The policy resulted in many minors being detained in various locations, in much-criticized conditions, either with their families or by themselves, if they had crossed the border alone. Videos

This will continue fueling the drug crisis, growing MS-13, enriching the drug cartels, inducing sex trafficking and terrible crimes at the border, encouraging illegals to kidnap children to gain admission, and causing death and mayhem on both sides of the border. Political spinning about the Department of Justice’s Inspector General’s report that came out last Thursday is all about shiny bits and pieces of the report. It misses the events outside the report’s four corners that magnify its importance tenfold. Let’s pull back on the stick, gain some altitude, and examine some of the more important facts. When we do, we have to conclude that the Augean Stables on Pennsylvania Avenue — the Justice Department building and, across the street, the J. Edgar Hoover FBI building — have to be cleaned out.
