Kim May Emerge As North
Korea’s Deng Xiaoping

President Trump´s idiosyncratic methods conceal the strength of his effort to reverse the disintegration of America as a Great Power and a just force in the world. Beneath or with his almost avuncular comments on Kim Jong-un being "a nice guy," the president has gained Mr. Kim´s formal acquiescence to his definition of denuclearization in exchange for contemporaneous wind-down of sanctions and of the close presence of overwhelming military force. As a bonus, Mr. Kim can be the new Deng Xiao-ping and lead North Korea to prosperity while preserving the Kimist dictatorship. The sanctions will remain until the

I doubt Li´l Kimmy has the expertise and experience to become a replica Deng. Kim is a psychopath, terribly insecure in his ability to govern a whole nation. That is why he rules by terror and not political acumen as do all tyrants of his ilk. He thinks of himself as a God- and I think a trip to the U.S. will do him and the world a lot of good. He needs a shock and awe moment to bring him down to size, which in his case, would appropriately be minuscule.

He is already thinking about the condos the President told him he should build on the beach.

The guy is grossly overweight and should have Gout any time now for his rich diet. If he likes drugs, just how long do they expect him to live?

A Ghost for Mr. Mueller
New York Sun, by Editorial    Original Article
Posted By: pensom2- 5/11/2018 2:28:58     Post Reply
Could Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller be haunted by the ghost of the late, great congressman Henry Hyde? The question occurs in the wake of the "not guilty" plea entered by a Russian company to charges it meddled in the American election in 2016. The company, Concord Management and Consulting LLC, also waived a reading of the indictment and demanded its constitutional right to a speedy trial. That seemed to stun the special prosecutors. When Mr. Mueller first indicted Concord and a raft of Russians, Politico reported, "many legal experts viewed it as a so-called ´name-and-shame´ indictment, filed to call public

The New York Times´ list of questions that the special counsel wishes to put to the president is a farrago of psychometric inquiries into mood, motive, and opinion that has almost nothing to do with the original canard about Trump-campaign collusion with Russia. Unlike the cases of the Watergate, Iran-Contra, and Whitewater special prosecutors, there was no prior fact of a crime here. Nor has any emerged in the year since Robert Mueller was nominated as special counsel in an already long-going investigation, except the very probable untruthfulness under oath of former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, former directors James

I will just make a prediction and try to keep out of the swamp of Trump-obsession as the weeks unfold. The anti-Trump movement is now in inexorable decline; it is a little like the Nixon defense forces after the Saturday Night drama in October 1973, with the departure of the attorney general, his deputy, and the special prosecutor, though Mr. Nixon had broken no laws. Nearly a year ago, as President and Mrs. Trump and their entourage departed for the Middle East, the Vatican, and a NATO meeting, David Gergen, a fair and fine man intermittently rendered delirious by the

A former assistant special Watergate prosecutor suggested President Trump could be carted away by U.S. Marshals and brought before a federal judge if he were to defy a potential subpoena from the special counsel requesting an interview. "At that point, they would make a motion to hold Donald Trump in contempt," attorney Nick Akerman told host Joy Reid Saturday morning on MSNBC. "The question would be what would the federal district court judge do in terms of a remedy? The thrusting green shoots of early spring and visions of cotton-tailed rabbits confounding my wife´s splendid Hungarian dogs by their acrobatic zig-zag jumping have incited me to make some predictions about this midterm-election year. Congress has given notice that it has effectively shut down, having passed its egregious omnibus-spending bill, as Senator Schumer and Minority Leader Pelosi welcomed Senator McConnell and Speaker Ryan back to the pre-Trump days of Congress´s just rolling the pork barrel around with no serious guidance from the White House and unfazed by overwhelming disapproval ratings in the polls. Now that Utah has just become the first state in the nation to pass a law protecting "free-range parents," please indulge us while we salute our erstwhile columnist Lenore Skenazy. They say that lightning doesn´t strike the same newspaper twice, but her column about letting her nine-year-old son ride the subway alone — which led to the new law in Utah — may well be (we´re speculating) the second most widely reprinted piece of journalism in history. [snip] Ms. Skenazy´s celebrated column, issued in 2008, is different. It wasn´t that she broke news or wrote it up with poetical flourishes.

It is distressing to see my friend of nearly 40 years, George Will, writing such words of frenzied despair about the president and his national-security adviser-designate, John Bolton. It is also worrisome to see my cordial acquaintance of 20 years, Richard Haass, writing as mournfully as he did last week of the end of the Liberal World Order. One expects, a year into an administration that went to war in the election campaign against the entire political class in both parties and among the national press (such as George Will) and the foreign-policy establishment . . .

It isn’t fair to saddle that whole party with those two, but they are not unrepresentative. Mayor Schaaf and Sheriff Israel represent the crumbled alliance between

Former first lady Laura Bush tore into the Trump administration for separating migrant families at the border, calling the “zero tolerance” policy “cruel” and “immoral.” Bush penned an op-ed for the Washington Post, which was published Sunday night as public outcry over the hundreds of children in detention centers intensified. “I live in a border state,” Bush wrote. “I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.” Bush’s commentary comes as more images and accounts from inside the detention centers have

Roseanne Barr has become untouchable due to the "Valerie Jarrett/Ambien/Planet of the Apes" controversy, irrevocably contaminated by racism. This presents a problem for ABC, which canceled her revived show but wants the show to return in some form because it had high ratings. The apparent solution is to create a new show focused on the daughter character "Darlene," which would exclude Roseanne. Unfortunately, Roseanne Barr owns a chunk of the show, and ABC doesn´t want to be seen letting Barr profit from it, so ABC is in talks to buy the show from Barr so she would not technically profit

The Justice Department’s tepid OIG report, with its risible assertion that there was no political bias in the FBI’s Clinton email probe, suggests that it was written by people afraid to tell the unvarnished truth about the conduct of the federal government’s police apparatus, an agency that openly defies congressional oversight and has participated in a vendetta against a sitting president. The FBI’s leadership clearly hopes that the Democrats will win majorities in Congress and put a halt to the investigations into its multifarious abuses of power. The OIG is loath to face the ruthless reprisals that would inevitably follow

So she moved several portraits of prominent white doctors in order to be more diverse and inclusive. Problem solved? Clinton ran gun control as a candidate in the 2016 election and lost. President Trump ran as pro-gun and LMT Online reports that Clinton is now criticizing him for standing with gun rights organizations. Chase, 71, attended the first festival in Boise, an informal gathering in 1989. She was part of the team that built the first "float." In those days, Chase said festivalgoers wore masks to avoid having their identities revealed.
