With his historic summit Tuesday with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, President Trump has once again done something astounding and unpredictable. Yet, the surprise over the sudden summit should not have come as a surprise at all. By now we should be used to President Trump surprising us. Consider his record over the last four years. Four years ago, in June 2014, almost no one would have dreamed Donald J. Trump would be a serious candidate for president. Then, nearly three years ago, when he announced his candidacy on June 16, 2015, almost no one thought he could be

Ease off a point there, Newt.

George W. Bush had to deal with 9/11 and God willing we won´t have another one. He went directly to the site and united the nation.

To be fair, he quickly turned (or reverted) into an apologist squish for Islamism with his infamous ´religion of peace´ rubbish. The less said about Iraq and Afghanistan the better but I maintain that Iraq could have achieved democracy or even perhaps been broken up a la Yugoslavia or the former Soviet states along tribal/ethnic lines. Instead, he turned squish again thanks to the Deep State and RINOs.

If zero did one decent thing in his hideous reign, it was to prove, once and for all, that just because a person can be elected to high office, that doesn´t mean they are capable of competent, righteous leadership; much less exhibit same. Of course, peelousy and scummer have been proving that for decades.

We can only hope that the Trumpian "never tell your enemies what you´re really up to" strategy will apply to his Enemedia enemies, as he quietly orchestrates their crash-and-burn throughout both his astounding terms as president.

Considering all that Trump has done so far, wouldn´t it be nice if the elitists like Steve Hayes and Jonah Goldberg backed off a bit? Trump can do no right with these two and it reveals their Trumpochosis rather than any of Trump´s alleged shortcomings.

Every time these supposed friendlies start their, "Yes, but..." or "Trump failed to mention...", or "Let´s wait and see", I go deaf. Why can´t they be supportive?

Trump is what real leadership looks like. Obama, Clinton, and the Bushes were pretenders in comparison. Especially Obama and Clinton. The Bushes showed some promise, but not enough. Obama, Clinton, and the Bushes span thirty years. This country cannot afford to go without good leadership for that long. Hopefully there will be someone that rises up once Trump leaves office. Most of what is currently in government pale in comparison.

Trump has done a great job, and I hope through until 2025. After 2025, I also hope Trump does one last thing. That is to never attend and gatherings of the former loser presidents. I hope he avoids those losers just like the WH correspondents dinners.

#4 makes an excellent point and asks an important question. Here´s my (too long) answer:

For decades a group of people have profitably sold themselves as conservatives. National Review, Weekly Standard, Ben Shapiro, and many others market themselves as leading conservative thinkers. They only get paid because they claim they are conservative, and they can lay claim to a market. We are that market.

Donald Trump was not a leading conservative thinker, and he threatened their market. If we believed Trump, then they would no longer be in charge. They might even end up out of a job. So they opposed Trump with every weapon at their disposal in order to protect their market. They derided him, they dismissed him, they insulted him, and they got him completely and utterly wrong.

Re-read NR´s "Against Trump" editorial or Ben Shapiro´s March 6, 2016, noxious article about Trumpism being tantamount to racism. It would be difficult to pack more stupidity and error into a smaller package. If we had listened to them, they would have lost the election.

Instead, they lost us. We won without them. We voted for Trump, and he has exceeded all of our expectations. President Trump is not a leading conservative thinker. He is a leading conservative doer. So, to keep their phony-baloney jobs, these so-called conservatives now need President Trump to fail. They need to be right again to win us back.

I´m not going back. The only things they write that I still read and recommend are the two articles mentioned above. I reread these regularly to remind myself how misleading these so-called leading thinkers were. (And I want them to be the first results in any Google search.)

I´m not going back until they are all gone.

When Ovomit was elected, he had two years with a Demon-RAT super majority in Congress. They had the majority in the House, and such a large majority in the Senate that it was filibuster-proof. The Republicans had NO power to stop the Demon-RATs from basically doing ANYTHING they wanted.

Fortunately, the only thing they accomplished was Ovomitcare. They could have passed massive immigration reform, made abortion free and legal for all nine months of the pregnancy, given homosexuals all the special rights they could have dreamed of, and all sorts of other horrible things that would have destroyed our nation even more. Thank God they saw the writing on the wall and knew they would be destroyed by the American people for Ovomitcare alone. Even more of them would have lost their seats in the mid-terms if they had passed that other garbage!!!

But Donald Trump, even with a hostile Congress, has accomplished more than Ovomit (and Clinton and the two Bush´s) could have dreamed of accomplishing.

Keep on MAGA, President Trump!!!!!!!!!!

Throughout the 2016 Presidential campaign, then-candidate Donald Trump was clear that he intended to enforce our nation’s immigration laws. As commander-in-chief, President Trump and his Attorney General Jeff Sessions have dutifully kept that promise. But now that the laws are being faithfully executed, we are witnessing just how broken our system truly is. The way our immigration laws are currently constituted, they provide for two enforcement options: full enforcement or no enforcement. For the safety of our children, no enforcement is not an option. The Obama policy of catch and release served as a notice to all illegal aliens that

Clean the Swamp -President Trump won the 2016 Presidential Election in large part due to his stand against government corruption. Being an outsider, Americans believed Trump could make a real difference. The 2018 Congressional election is shaping up in similar fashion and because of this Donald Trump and Republicans will win again. In the 2016 election Americans were sick and tired of the corruption that consumed the Obama Administration. Americans were fed up with the Obama Administration and their patsy media. This message was represented in short chants at Trump rallies that all related to corruption— “Drain the Swamp!” Obama’s
