Obama’s ‘Red Line’ Debacle From the Inside
Wall Street Journal, by James Taranto

Ben Rhodes worked for eight full years as Barack Obama’s deputy national security adviser for strategic communications and speechwriting, a White House position that was inaugurated the same day Mr. Obama was. “Like Obama, Rhodes is a storyteller who uses a writer’s tools to advance an agenda that is packaged as politics but is often quite personal,” journalist David Samuels wrote in a 2016 profile. “Even where the particulars of that story are true, the implications that readers and viewers are encouraged to take away from those particulars are often misleading or false.” Is it possible that Mr. Rhodes’s talent for

Obama is a purely political animal whose every decision is based on what will gain him the most or cost him the least. If he has any principles, at least any good, constructive principles, we never saw the evidence. As a commenter on WSJ put it (excellently):
"Obama was often paralyzed and unable to take action that could result in an unpredictable result. In other words, Obama is a cowardly leader. Except when he viciously attacks the half of the country that are deplorable people who cling to guns and bibles. Here he is fearless and uses ´any means necessary´... the IRS (Lois Lerner), the Treasury Department (cutting off credit to the firearms industry), illegally importing 10´s of millions of the uneducated and unskilled from the third world for the purpose of diluting our vote, using the corrupt FBI and intelligence agencies to frame our chosen leader, etc, etc."

It all boils down to whether a President is intent on getting something done that is in the long-term national security interests of the USA.

It appears that it was not former President Obama’s objective, and that he was more intent on remaining in the good graces of the Iranian mullahs, and kicking the ugly Syrian can down the road.

Since President Trump came on the international scene it is clear that Trump does not operate as Obama did, and since Trump came into office has showed that he is always going to do what is in America’s national security interests no matter if he discombobulates some foreign leaders along the way.

The best assessment I can make picking through this article is this guy (Rhodes) should do some serious quality time on a therapist´s couch. Maybe several.

As for his boss, every day there comes a new revelation that society would be best served sould he be removed from it.

While Ben Rhodes ´worked" for Stinky, His resume ought to be a beaut´! But look what it got him...Anyone associated with that Regime generally, has to start by down-playing their role at whatever it was they did. Ben Rhodes, would have made more of a mark on Washington by doing graffiti on railroad cars passing through Washington.
IF, They keep digging into that pile of dung left in Zippy´s wake, maybe, he´ll make somebody´s indictment list? Just sayin´

I came across a documentary on cable TV which featured Ben Rhodes.

That he was so powerful in the Obama administration is shocking. He is a singularly unimpressive little twerp.

The Sexting Scandal That Toppled One

It had been two days since William Voge was publicly disgraced, and the 61-year-old globe-trotting lawyer couldn’t sleep. His family, his colleagues and competitors, everyone it seemed, knew about the sexually explicit texts he exchanged last year with a woman he had never met in person, and still hasn’t. The fallout scandalized the legal profession and would cost Mr. Voge his job at Latham & Watkins LLP, one of the highest grossing law firms in the world, where he was chairman. Mr. Voge slipped out of his $5 million house in Solana Beach, Calif., that night in March. He went to a

Let’s Talk About the Black Abortion Rate

As Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination tees up another national debate about reproductive rights, is it too much to ask that abortion’s impact on the black population be part of the discussion? When the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade in 1973, polling showed that blacks were less likely than whites to support abortion. Sixties-era civil rights activists like Fannie Lou Hamer and Whitney Young had denounced the procedure as a form of genocide. Jesse Jackson called abortion “murder” and once told a black newspaper in Chicago that “we used to look for death from the man in the blue

By picking Brett Kavanaugh as his Supreme Court nominee, President Trump showed that credentials and connections still matter — when backed up by results. One of the most scholarly members of the judiciary, Kavanaugh’s more than 300 opinions are read widely and influence courts across the country — including the one that he now hopes to join. There are few if any more respected lower-court judges. More important than his erudition is Kavanaugh’s intense commitment to constitutional structure. As Anthony Kennedy, the justice he clerked for and now seeks to succeed, often emphasized, this is vital not simply to the functioning

AUSTIN — U.S. Rep. Beto O´Rourke joined Austin legend Willie Nelson at the annual Willie´s Picnic on Wednesday night. O´Rourke, an El Paso Democrat running for Sen. Ted Cruz´s seat in the fall, tucked an "I Love You El Paso" T-shirt into his pants. Strumming a guitar, he sang "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die" — a message on brand for famous pothead Willie Nelson and O´Rourke´s pro-marijuana legalization stance. After they finished that song, Nelson shouted out, "Thank you Beto!" He kept the weed theme going as they rolled into the next song, "It´s All Going

Environmental extremism increasingly dominates California. The state is making a concerted attack on energy companies in the courts; a bill is pending in the legislature to fine waiters $1,000—or jail them—if they offer people plastic straws; and UCLA issued a report describing pets as a climate threat. The state has taken upon itself the mission of limiting the flatulence of cows and other farm animals. As the self-described capital of the anti-Trump resistance, California presents itself as the herald of a green, more socially and racially just society. That view has been utterly devastated by a new report from Chapman

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is treated as a closed loop when, in fact, much of its decision making was based on intelligence and advice supplied by other agencies. Michael Horowitz deals with some of this information in a classified appendix, which the public can’t see. Even so, as Justice Department inspector general, he is not authorized to examine and dissect the internal communications and decision-making of other agencies the way he did the FBI’s. Yet the necessity of doing so fairly screams

The indictment Friday of 12 Russian military officers for the election hacks against the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign lends a surprising new detail to the 2016 election interference timeline: The Kremlin’s hackers apparently still maintained a foothold in the DNC’s network four months after the Democrats announced that they’d locked the intruders out. Until today, the story of the DNC hack ended promptly on June 14, 2016, when the Democrats went public with the intrusion in the pages of the Washington Post, and Crowdstrike, the security firm hired to respond to the breach, published a detailed technical account. Meanwhile, illegal aliens arriving in America have no such requirement. Instead, trespassing tribes relocate, and when they do, rather than assimilate, they transfer habits and activities indigenous to the countries from whence they migrated. Thus, Americans suffer from illnesses that are easily traceable to third-world bathroom habits (TWBH) and lack of hygiene in the developing world.
