Tucker Carlson springs a racism trap

David D. Burstein is one of the young rising stars of progressivism, as a glance at his personal website reveals. Praise from the likes of Howard Dean, Judy Woodruff of PBS, and David Gergen reveal him to be an anointed one (snip) Burstein took on Tucker Carlson, defending a program at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, that offers credit for a program that focuses on what it alleges are traits of "dominant white culture" that include "superficiality" and "extreme exportation of labor and resources for profit." My impression is that he had never encountered someone willing to press him

Carlson´s finish nails it to the floor.

Collective race guilt is wrong. It´s racist to attack people for things they didn´t do because of the way they look. It´s really simple, you are on board with it, I´m not.

Well done.

I do not know how tucker does it. I end up absolutely flabbergasted and stunned into flumoxization when confronted by such outrageous intellectual stupidity as this over educated idiot- and white man- David D. Burstein tries to demonstrate. I go out of my chair angry even watching it.

To what level of absurdity are these university liberal lizards willing to go? Soon, they will be babbling incoherently at this rate of crazy.

Love Tucker! It´s his show that shows the ludicrousy of liberalism on display.

How do you force people to take advantages of the opportunities this country offers? Back in the 50s and 60s our economy started to really grow. Also, back in those days, most families were in tact, with 2 parents. Those parents made sure their kids were educated, polite, and did the things to help make them successful. Even today there are members of all races that take the advantages available and are successful, some wildly. Whites, of course, were the majority then, as they are today. That´s just the way it is. It doesn´t stop anyone else from becoming successful. Or, should we try to find a way to make white people less successful? Limit how much education they can get, limit the hours they should be allowed to work, limit the ideas they get to start businesses, to invent things, etc. Good luck with that.

Fox News has done a tremendous job of filling O´Reilly´s empty chair at 2000 hours (8 PM). I agree with Tom Lifson that Tucker Carlson excels in cheerfully shredding those (usually, but not always, on the Left) whose philosophies and beliefs are built on ideological sand.

The belief that whiteness equals evil is just as malevolent, even demonic, as the belief that blackness equals evil. Both beliefs are themselves evil, and have led to political genocide. Is that really what the self-despising (but not -deprecating) David Burstein.

Well, hey. If I believed what Burstein did, I should properly be placed on suicide watch. Has he checked his privilege lately?

The idea is floated frequently that the still nameless Russian collusion scandal is "worse than Watergate." It may well be, but that comparison overlooks a more useful parallel. The gold standard of government conspiracy remains the investigation into the July 1996 crash of TWA Flight 800 off the south coast of Long Island. The ensuing cover-up involved many of the same players as in the Russia conspiracy and for the same immediate goal: to secure a presidential election for a Clinton.
