Chase suspect finally stopped by

What started as a traffic stop quickly turned into a high-speed chase, back-to-back crashes and an arrest that happened thanks, in part, to the suspect’s pants falling down. Tobias Smith, 24, faces a long list of charges stemming from the chaotic chase and crashes. Daytona Beach police say they tried to pull Smith over Tuesday for trying to cut through a parking lot along West International Speedway Boulevard to avoid a traffic light. Documents say Smith took off on North Nova Road. Smith made a hard right from the center lane onto Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, police say, and at

“Police say Smith ran a red light at the intersection with North Keech Street, and hit a car, a light pole and then the front of Nu-Looks Barber Shop, which had customers in it at the time.“

Will the ”brothers” set up a Go Fund Me Account to pay for the property damages, the costs for prosecution and public defender and the $85,000 per year to keep 24 year old Tobias in jail for at most, 18 months? Fortunately, no innocents were killed or severely injured when he ran the red light. Any money left in the Go Fund Me Account can be used to buy Tobias a belt to improve his next escape chances.

Ronald Reagan created that fashion with his movie ´Bedtime for Bonzo´.
Bonzo walked around with his underwear sticking out the top of his pants and had to walk with his feet apart to keep his pants from falling down. He also had to hold them up when he ran.

A man who injured two people when he opened fire in an Oklahoma City restaurant Thursday night was shot dead by an armed bystander, police said. The suspect walked into a Louie’s restaurant in the Lake Hefner area and shot two people inside, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department. A person with a pistol confronted the gunman and fatally shot him, the cops said. The two victims, both females, were taken to the hospital where they were recovering. It was unclear Thursday night why the gunman opened fire in the restaurant.

Why should hitting a cop be

Last week, the House of Representatives — by a margin of more than 10 to 1 — approved a completely gratuitous, blatantly unconstitutional bill that would make assaulting a police officer a federal crime. The lopsided vote was a bipartisan portrait in cowardice that vividly showed how readily politicians forsake their oaths of office to keep their hold on power. The Protect and Serve Act prescribes a prison sentence of up to 10 years for anyone who “knowingly assaults a law-enforcement officer,” thereby “causing serious bodily injury,” or “attempts to do so.” Such conduct is, of course, already illegal in

A police officer at a northern Illinois high school was hailed as a hero Wednesday for shooting and arresting a former student who fired on him in a hallway while staff and seniors were meeting for a graduation rehearsal. The 19-year-old former Dixon High School student suffered wounds that weren’t life-threatening, according to police, who didn’t release his name. The school resource officer, Mark Dallas, took the gunman into custody after shooting him. “He saved an enormous amount of lives,” Lee County Sheriff John Simonton said. His comments were echoed by Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner, who in a statement credited

The driver of a Tesla electric car had the vehicle’s semi-autonomous Autopilot mode engaged when she slammed into the back of a Utah fire truck over the weekend, in the latest crash involving a car with self-driving features. The 28-year-old driver of the car told police in suburban Salt Lake City that the system was switched on and that she had been looking at her phone before the Friday evening crash. Tesla’s Autopilot system uses radar, cameras with 360-degree visibility and sensors to detect nearby cars and objects. It’s built so cars can automatically change lanes, steer, park and brake to help avoid collisions.

Several Republican candidates for governor of Oklahoma urged GOP Gov. Teams will be fined for any personnel that "do not show proper respect for the flag and Anthem” on the sidelines. Other journalists were hearing similar things from players they talked to.

Democrats and their media allies are again shouting “constitutional crisis,” this time claiming President Trump has waded too far into the Russia investigation. The howls are a diversion from the actual crisis: the Justice Department’s unprecedented contempt for duly elected representatives, and the lasting harm it is doing to law enforcement and to the department’s relationship with Congress. The conceit of those claiming Mr. Trump has crossed some line in ordering the Justice Department to comply with oversight is that “investigators” are beyond question.
