GQ Condemns the Holy Bible:
Repetitive, Self-Contradictory,
Sententious, Foolish…Ill-Intentioned’

Cybercast News Service, by Craig Bannister

Original Article

Posted By:M2, 4/21/2018 10:07:32 AM

In an article by “The Editors of GQ,” the men’s magazine blasts the Holy Bible, declares it a book you don’t have to read, and suggests an alternative. In its April 19 article, “21 Books You Don’t Have to Read” (originally, "21 Books You Don´t Have to Read Before You Die"), Gentlemen’s Quarterly (GQ) trashes 20 books (“Huckleberry Finn” is counted twice, for some reason) it deems undeserving of their literary stature: “[N]ot all the Great Books have aged well. Some are racist and some are sexist, but most are just really, really boring. So we—and a group of un-boring

Comments:
Breaking news for GQ: The Bible was never meant to have "literary stature". It was meant to be the living Word of God for spiritual success and to teach mankind who God is. And the Bible wasn´t "written by man" though man may have printed it, GQ. Such shallow thinking and staggering ignorance.

Huck Finn is "racist" because it dares to speak the truth about the nature of most (many) Blacks both then and now. Leftists declare the absolute "Equality" of Blacks while at the same time demanding that they receive special help and special considerations (funding) in all things.
This type of lying and cheating is called "Nuanced" thinking and is the special trick required to be a true progressive.
Our Universities exist largely to teach this crap.

The GQ editors´ pretentious review simply bears witness to the thoughts and feelings of their father towards the divinely inspired Word.

The very notion that we have to do anything presupposes some compelling authority or truth over us. By presumptuously declaring what we do or don´t have to do, GQ editors position themselves as life´s authorities (Lord help them).

Almighty and eternal God, may it please you to bless our hearts, illumine our minds, and inspire our steps, that we may know your love, see your truth, and follow your way.

Back in 2012 the delegates at the Democrat convention booed down mention of the Name of God. Who among us should be shocked or surprised when some shabby magazine effectively follows suit?

Here is what everyone misses about the Bible. There are many books, written over many lifespan by many different authors. Yes, the stories seem repetitive and childish. But, if you really study the bible, you find out, some strange truths. There is a recurring message- it is the same message, that is repeated over and over and it has to do with the meaning of the messiah and what His message is. Daniel gives us the first hint at finding this message- It is called "The Abomination of Desolation" and Jesus Christ refers to it. Finding out what the "Abomination of Desolation” is, leads you to the many false prophets Jesus spoke of. The "Truth" of the bible is in that message and it is absolutely astounding. The bible does not lie and it is not contradictory if you understand the meaning of the words in a contemporary sense. Knowing the history of the writers , you realize, it is very real and important. It is absolutely unexplainable how so many different authors over such a long time could end up writing that message over and over, not even realizing the message was hidden in their words. It is supernatural. When people dismiss the bible as "unfathomable, confusing, boring, meaningless”- they shut themselves off from ever learning the message. I know of dedicated, well trained bible experts who never caught on to the message. When it is explained to them, they either viciously reject it, knowing it is the truth and they are ashamed they never saw it (it is right in front of you once you realize it) or they break down in tears of joy. Jesus is no joke. The bible is not to be dismissed- only fools toss aside that which they do not understand.

Wouldn´t have at least one person at GQ have actually read the Bible before they can decide it´s not worth reading?????

Seriously, how do you judge a book that probably burns in your hate-filled sinful hands, and fries your eyes that are so used to looking at gay porn???

I´m guessing HQ has no readers left, and needs to do something, ANYTHING, to get their 15 minutes of fame back. Attacking the Bible pretty much guarantees that they will get attention. And when you are on your final thread of existence, I guess any attention (positive or negative) is considered "good" attention...

GQ is lucky that the patience of God is infinite in its majesty. Their opinion of God´s word is about as useful as a bike would be for a fish.

This publication sounds like they were in favor of the DNC booting God from their platform last election as well. Like the neighbors of Noah who mocked him for saying a flood was coming, these folks will find out the reality of God´s existence, right before it bites them painfully hard.

God doesn´t take "fashion advice" from GQ, which stands for "Gay Queen", but He did give "Spiritual Advice" to the entire human race through His enduring Word.

Perhaps the "Editors" of GQ should enroll at a Bible College and learn about the marvels of our Scripture from experts in the field. "Self-Contradictory"? Not if you understand Dispensational Theology.

An old British guy (s/o) once quipped, "All the world´s a stage, And all the men and women merely players." In reality, all the world is a Courtroom, and we are each called as witnesses to declare whom we will follow, Jesus Christ, or the current ruler of this world, Satan. There are no "do-overs" for the decision, no "reset-buttons" for your life, no "reincarnation" as an escape, no "great nothingness" to avoid the punishment for the wrong choice. As Scripture states, "It is appointed unto man, once to die, and after that the judgment." Are you ready to stand before His Great White Throne and explain why you chose Satan, instead?

Christ Himself said, "I am the way and the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but through Me." There is no "other path to God." A damnable lie from the mouth of Satan. There is only one way. Laugh if you want GQ, your arrogance will be your doom.

Subjective choices concerning "Literature" are subjective. Two people read the same book and come to totally different opinions about it. When it comes to religious writings an unbeliever will always down play the quality of writing. The Bible in particular was writing over nearly a thousand years and is amazingly coherent and cohesive in its message of fall and redemption. To the blind, non-believer, its like describing colors to someone who has never seen them, impossible to understand. To someone seeking answers beyond the belly and the flesh, it provides answers to eternal problems.

The freedom of religion is the first foundational Right assured in that First Amendment for good reason, for through it, people from throughout the planet have been able to come to the USA and live peacefully here together through mutual respect. Had one of these people try a gotcha moment with David and Goliath. You have the story of the boy with the sling, then there is another part where King David praises one of his soldiers for killing ´Goliath the philistine, a giant´. One or the other was a lie, according to him.

I asked him how many Marks did he know? How many Pauls? How many Mohammuds?

Was Goliath a common name among the Philistines? Maybe even a title they gave big men? If that were the case, would you expect the writer to lie about the name of the later incident to avoid confusion?

A judge in Riverside County on Tuesday overturned California´s controversial assisted death law nearly two years after it took effect, ruling that the Legislature improperly passed the measure during a special session on health care funding. Mueller, weathering significant criticism that his Russian collusion case was thin, unveiled a grandiose indictment Feb. 16 against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies. The 13 Russians in question were charged with waging “information warfare” in the United States, interfering with the 2016 presidential election, and conspiracy to defraud the United States. Mueller generated headlines with the February indictment, safe in the knowledge the 13 Russians were beyond

Iran has backed Syria´s "right to defend itself" after Israel launched strikes on what it said was Iranian military infrastructure inside Syria. In the first comments by Iran since Thursday´s wave of strikes, the foreign ministry condemned the "blatant violation of Syria´s sovereignty". The strikes were the heaviest carried out by Israel on Syria in decades. They came after 20 rockets were fired at Israeli military positions in the occupied Golan Heights. Israel said Iranian fighters had carried out that attack. Iran has neither directly confirmed or denied this but has said that Israel´s attacks on Syria were founded "on self-proclaimed,

CNN´s chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta challenged President Trump to grant him an one-on-one interview. "I dare him to sit down with me," Acosta said during an interview Wednesday on ABC´s "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" when pressed by the host.Despite his confrontational manner in the briefing room, Acosta told Kimmel he has professional relationships with former White House press secretary Sean Spicer and his successor Sarah Sanders. But he said they weren´t bowling buddies after hours — a similar dynamic he shared with communications staffers serving the Obama administration. "We try to have a

Former Director of Intelligence James Clapper said Thursday night on CNN that it was “a good thing” there was an FBI informant spying on the Trump campaign. Clapper admitted the FBI “may have had someone who was talking to them in the campaign,” referring to President Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. He explained away the possibility of an FBI informant spying on the campaign as the bureau was trying to find out “what the Russians were doing to try to substantiate themselves in the campaign or influence or leverage it.” Obama’s Director of National Intelligence then went on to say, “So,

Democrats, the mainstream media, and left-wing reporters are twisting President Trump’s words in calling MS-13 illegal alien gang members “animals.” During a roundtable discussion of California’s sanctuary state laws, Fresno Sheriff Margaret Mims mentioned to Trump the difficulty of working with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to notify them of an illegal alien MS-13 gang member. In response, Trump called the MS-13 gang members “animals,” as he’s done in the past. Wednesday on Bloomberg, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) said the government should “start talking about” regulating pay disparities between CEOs and the average worker. Ellison said, “As you know, under the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act, it became required that the publicly traded companies would have to report the ratio between CEO pay and the median worker. It took about five years or more for the Securities Exchange Commission to create a rule. They finally did so now we have a data set of about 225 public the traded companies. We find that CEOs are paid an exorbitant amount of money’s compared workers.

John McCain always said he’d go down fighting, and so he has, dickering from his deathbed over CIA nominee Gina Haspel and pre-emptively disinviting President Donald Trump from his funeral, then leaving as a legacy some fierce final words for the leader of his party, who is now a political enemy. All Trump displays is “a reality-show facsimile of toughness,” the six-term Arizona senator and former GOP presidential candidate, who for a generation of Washington politicians has defined genuine toughness, writes in his forthcoming memoir. The irony of McCain’s curtain-closing contretemps with the president is that it is clearly

Attorney Joe diGenova predicted that both Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions´ days are numbered at the Department of Justice during a telephone interview with Newsmax´s Howie Carr Wednesday. DiGenova´s claim came after the New York Times published a report titled "Code Name Crossfire Hurricane: The Secret Origins of the Trump Investigation". The report has been interpreted by many as an attempt by sources within the "Deep State" to cushion the blow of the imminent DOJ inspector general report, which is expected to be explosive. In March, President Trump considered adding diGenova and his wife Victoria Toensing

Renovator Dino Petrone, 36, blogger Ashley, 32 and sons Gabe, 8, Gavin, 7 and daughter Quinn, 4, from Ventura County, had what many would consider an ´ordinary´ life in California. Starbucks´ day of racial-bias training for its baristas can´t come soon enough. With less than two weeks to go before the coffee chain closes stores nationwide to educate its nearly 175,000 workers on how not to discriminate against others, Starbucks (SBUX) this week found itself apologizing for doing just that. (Tweet) The apology on social media came after a customer at a Starbucks in La Cañada Flintridge, California, found the word "Beaner" -- a derogatory term for Mexicans -- printed on his coffee drink instead of "Pedro," his name. A friend of Pedro's who translated for him told CBS Los Angeles that his "friend was also sad"
