Clean up San Francisco’s streets,

As president of S.F. Travel, the city’s visitors bureau, Joe D’Alessandro’s job is to promote San Francisco. You’d think he’d be hyping the city’s gorgeous vistas, top-notch restaurants and glorious museums. Instead, he’s getting honest. Sure, San Francisco has great facets worthy of postcards and travel books, but it also has a worsening underbelly that D’Alessandro says he can no longer gloss over. People injecting themselves with drugs in broad daylight, their dirty needles and other garbage strewn on the sidewalks. Tent camps. Human feces. The threatening behavior of some people who appear either mentally ill or high. Petty theft. “The streets are

SF is truly endangering not only its tourism industry (which it needs if it is going to be able to afford to continue to provide services for the homeless) but it is going to lose its world class fine arts community. btw, Not only are the tourist areas becoming increasingly dirty and unpleasant, I shudder to think of especially foreign visitors who accidentally wander from the heavily touristed areas.

Everyone that lives there is afraid to speak the truth because of the Left-PC police. It is not a beautiful city if there are clouds of feces-dust blown around, and inadequately treated mentally ill threatening you every block.

So they want to slap a Mr. Happy face on a degenerate area to fool people into walking into danger unprepared.

They aren´t ready to deal with the real problems they face because addicts and criminals are people too!

So they will figure out how to paper over the problems in an authentically liberal way. That is, do things that sound "right" but don´t actually fix the problem.

No matter how many times the Left is forced to face the results of their insane policies, they refuse to see that THEY are the cause of the problem.

Since the local government is mentally ill, they would not be able to recognize the mentally ill that live there. I would guess there is a big exodus going on right now and they are keeping it under wraps. When home and apartment prices begin to fall, somebody will figure it out, maybe. Too bad, it was once a beautiful city.

Marxism is responsible for many sins and crimes but it has continued to gather armies of fools who believe it produces fairness, equality, etc.

Any examination of Marxism reveals that it targeted hereditary and/or earned wealth, status, political power and simply hijacked the palace while installing even more guns, moats, guards and fences to protect the elite.

Marxists cannot imprison or slaughter the masses, at least in the West, so they opt for the next best thing (in their minds) which is the ruination of society by littering it with vagrants, illegals, drug addicts and others living like animals.

Incredibly, there are still many who believe that transients have rights...that they even have ´addresses´ and should be protected from removal, displacement, etc. Sheer madness. Unless, of course, you´re a self-appointed elite engaged in the lucrative humanitarian con game.

It´s like the people in fly-over country allowing this scum to come onto their property and turning it into a sewer with no response. That AIN´T gonna happen. You have to admit though, it´s nice of San Franfreako to keep the loons there instead of near my piece of America.

Anyway, Michael Savage has been talking about how filthy the streets are now. I won´t go there anymore. I also heard there are roving criminals who break car windows everywhere and steal anything they can find. It happens in even the nicer areas and the police can´t do anything to stop (or even slow) the problem.

I lived and worked in SF from 1982 to 1997. I watched the exodus of insurance companies, banking centers, etc. under Feinstein. I watched as parking spaces were actively done away with "for the good" of the city. I watched as the drug addicted, homeless, and losers of every stripe flocked to the city for the benefits they could get. I moved 9 miles south, and now watch from afar.

Currently? The streets are completely torn up and in far worse condition than what I´ve encountered in the third-world. The stench of the place on warm days rivals what you´d expect in India. At night you can head to the Mission District and watch the roving prostitutes transported in from East Bay, because SF doesn´t bother to prosecute any longer. The hookers, too, relieve themselves on the street. Zip on down to Ocean Beach after dark and be attacked by gangs. Shop in Union Square and be screamed at by any number of mentally ill/drugged/drunk, filthy, reeking homeless who have nothing to lose and are increasingly violent. Be sure to buy the insurance on your rental car for when the windows are smashed out and any belongings stolen. Cops won´t even bother to answer those calls. Oh, and try not to get run over in a crosswalk by the techy hipsters in their expensive cars who drive aggressively and with little skill. Expect gridlock traffic on weekends from the influx of Uber and Lyft cars which thrive in a market where the public transport is dirty, unsafe, and rarely on time.

And Heather Knight and the other employees of the leftist rag known as the Chronicle never seem to get that what´s wrong with the city is caused by their ilk.

My family lived in Modesto back in the early to mid sixties. My dad had a good friend; a Chinese guy and his family who lived smack dab in the middle of Chinatown. It´s where I fell in love with Chinese food, real and VERY good Chinese food (Hot Fish Pot, right? Oh man). We´d go to visit all the time and my sister and I would walk the streets in Chinatown by ourselves, even at night being the only two white kids around. We´d go to the shops and get ginger candy, magic wooden boxes and everyone treated us like we were family. It was wonderful and safe and we couldn´t have cared less about race. Yo, millennials, THAT is what the United States was like before the left ruined it. That is what normal looked like pretty much everywhere. Color, race, differences just were not issues. As the city got idiotic with the Haight Ashbury nonsense, it became less fun to go, got less safe. Such a beautiful city once. I´m grateful I got to see it when it was truly wonderful.

Since the residents keep voting for aging hippies who believe im socialism, the city will never change.

The only way outsiders can force change is take your tourism and convention industries elsewhere and advertise WHY you are no longer doing business in SF and where you are taking your business.

This is a golden opportunity for larger cities with convention centers and lots of large hotels and savvy Chambers of Commerce, Travel organizations and the hotel industry to capitalize on SF´s woes to market their cities.

A major allure of SF for travelers and conventioneers from out side of SF and CA is you do not need to rent a car (like you have to in LA). Advertise that visitors to SF are taking their life in their hand if they walk the streets there.

It is amazing that the residents, mayor, city council and superintendents have no pride in their city, nor shame in its sickening condition.

President Trump cannot block people from his @realDonaldTrump account just because he doesn’t like their political views, a Manhattan federal judge ruled on Wednesday. Doing so violates their First Amendment right to free speech because Twitter is a “public forum,” Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald wrote in a landmark ruling that could change how public officials use Twitter. “We reject the defendants’ contentions that the First Amendment does not apply in this case and that the President’s personal First Amendment interests supersede those of plaintiffs,” the judge wrote in her 75-page ?decision. The Democratic Party has no leader right now. No one. Former President Barack Obama is palling around with his billionaire, island-owning buddies. Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders is kicking back in one of his three houses (we’re guessing the big one on Lake Champlain). And the 20-some 2020 presidential wannabes are all jockeying for media attention (and cash, lots of cash). In such a void, that leaves just one person with the spotlight: the bitter, ever-angry, petty, vindictive Hillary Clinton. Mrs. Clinton told the Democratic Women’s Leadership Forum on Friday that she would be a foundational part of the anti-Trump

As Trump won primary after primary in 2016, a rattled John Brennan started claiming to colleagues at the CIA that Estonia’s intelligence agency had alerted him to an intercepted phone call suggesting Putin was pouring money into the Trump campaign. The tip was bogus, but Brennan bit on it with opportunistic relish. Out of Brennan’s alarmist chatter about the bogus tip came an extraordinary leak to the BBC: that Brennan had used it, along with later half-baked tips from British intelligence, as the justification to form a multi-agency spy operation (given the Orwellian designation of an “inter-agency taskforce”) on the Trump

Revelations that an FBI informant insinuated himself into the Trump campaign have led some congressional investigators to rethink their theories on how and why former President Barack Obama´s Justice Department began investigating the 2016 Trump presidential effort. Most reporting has focused on the July 31, 2016, creation of a document formally marking the beginning of the FBI counterintelligence probe targeting the Trump campaign. The document, known as the electronic communication, or EC, is said to have focused on the case of George Papadopoulos, the peripheral Trump adviser who has pleaded guilty to lying to special counsel Robert Mueller about his contacts

After half a decade of stagnation, the story of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and his endless stay at the Ecuadorian embassy in London may be moving into high gear. It was only a week ago when we learned that his hosts were talking about either trying to sneak him out of the country to Russia or simply telling him to pack his things and walk out the door. They were also complaining about his grubby living conditions and describing him as being a “threat” to embassy personnel. Now, in yet another signal that it may be time to go, Ecuador has fully withdrawn Assange’s special security detail who had been protecting him. (Reuters)

Former FBI Director James Comey defended the FBI’s use of confidential sources Wednesday following a series of tweets from President Trump about “spygate.” He also warned that attacks on and lies about the bureau and its work will cause “lasting damage” to the country. “Facts matter. The FBI’s use of Confidential Human Sources (the actual term) is tightly regulated and essential to protecting the country. Attacks on the FBI and lying about its work will do lasting damage to our country. How will Republicans explain this to their grandchildren?” Comey tweeted. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer fumed Tuesday over the Trump administration´s "outrageous" decision to exclude Democrats from an upcoming meeting in which Justice Department officials will give House Republicans documents related to the FBI´s investigation into potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Republican lawmakers had been demanding DOJ release the classified documents for months. “The only thing more outrageous than this meeting occurring at all is the fact that it’s now partisan,” the New York Democrat said. “It is crystal clear that Chairman Nunes’ intent is to interfere with the investigation, and Speaker Ryan is allowing it to

Former Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday urged Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI officials to "simply say no" to President Trump´s demand for an expanded investigation into his claims of FBI wrongdoing as it relates to his campaign. "More DOJ norms being eroded. Trump-a SUBJECT of the investigation-wants access to material related to the inquiry," Holder tweeted. (Snip) His latest criticism of the president came as Trump and his allies have claimed, without evidence, that an FBI informant spied on his campaign for political purposes. On Sunday, Trump said he would demand the DOJ investigate the matter.

NFL club owners are considering potential 15-yard penalties for kneeling during the national anthem among ways of coping with a backlash over player protests, Sports Illustrated reported Tuesday. In a statement, the union said it would review the new policy and “challenge any aspect of it that is inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement.” The union accused the league of contradicting its previous statements, and of ignoring players’ wishes in developing the new policy, which instructs that all team and league personnel should stand for the national anthem. “The NFL chose to not consult the union in the development of this new ‘policy,’” the union said in a statement. “NFL players have
