Winners of the 2018 Pulitzer Prizes were announced at Columbia University in New York City on Monday. The Pulitzers are highly revered and mark the best in journalism in 14 categories. Neil Brown, Poynter´s president, is a member of the Pulitzer Prize board. While he said he can’t discuss last week´s deliberations, he offered: “It’s clear that good reporting by one newsroom helps generate even more good journalism by others. As usual most awards went to NY Times and Wapo so Pulitzer should be renamed Fake News awards.

Award for the NYT, was expected as is the shameless hypocrisy behind it. The Times had known for years what the slimeball Winestein was up to. But never uttered a word as he was a confidant and buddy of Bonnie and Clyde. The moment they saw an opportunity to strike at a perceived Trump vulnerability, they threw him under the bus. This is risible yellow journalism. People who laud and reward such practice are even more despicable.

One award went for reporting on the HEROIN epidemic (not opiod epidemic.)
One award went to reporting on ´brutal´ war on drugs in the Philippines.
Is there any sense of irony there??
I consider the Pulitzer to be as valuable as the Nobel peace prize.

What? No awards for Pro-abortion, none for Black Live matter issues? None for media assaults on Christian businesses? None for "A week with ANTIFA thugs? No journal;ism awards for investigating "Hunger" in America. Where are the Global Warming awards?

What are the Pulitzers coming to- Just anti-Trump, anti-gun and "The Plight of Women in a hated Male world"? That´s pretty chicken of them.

I only clicked her to read your comments. If you want good, neutral professional news, I recommend The Epoch Times. Yes, it´s supportive of the Falun Gong movement but you won´t find more detailed and behind-the-scenes articles on China. And they have been doing excellent series of articles on the opioid crisis and the southern border and illegals, and MS-13.

It's from election night, when Chozick writes in Chasing Hillary: Ten Years, Two Presidential Campaigns, and One Intact Glass Ceiling that it finally became clear somebody had to break the news to Clinton that she was going to lose to Donald Trump. The task fell to "Robby Mook, the drained and deflated campaign manager," per an excerpt in the Times. And when he finally did so, Clinton "didn't seem all that surprised," writes Chozick. GOP control of the Senate is narrow, and with the upcoming Senate races, the power balance could tip in favor of Democrat, pro-abortion advocates. Planned Parenthood knows this, of course, and will be pouring a reported $30 million into abortion advocacy through its political arm. This money will be spent on Senate and gubernatorial races in a number of states, including Arizona, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and will be used to fund TV and digital ads, direct-mail campaigns, and even advocacy in the public square.
