‘Global warming’ claims a victim
American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

I restrained myself from commenting on the suicide to protest global warming of “famed gay rights lawyer” David Buckel for the last two days because, quite frankly, my first reactions were inappropriate laughter at what must be regarded as a human tragedy. “What was the carbon footprint of dousing himself in flammables and releasing into the atmosphere all the carbon in a carbon-based life form?” was the first thought I had. But after all, this is a human being, so I hesitated to mock. After some reflection, I see that this is a tragedy the Greek sense of the word,

A sexually confused man dedicated to controlling the weather finally finds that there exists but one thing he can control.
His death.
Then he proceeds to make his death as meaningless as his life.

I don´t necessarily buy into the claim that this was truly a noble act of "global warming" protest. I suggest David Buckel may have lipsticked his personal demons -- he convinced himself for reasons known only to him it was time to go and used the global warming hoax as cover.

I mean, really... exit stage left in a puff of self-affected greasy dark smoke in protest against human-caused carbon emissions?

That´s not political protest; that´s gallows humor.

This type of unlicensed burn is illegal in New York and Buckel should fancy himself lucky. He could´ve been cited.

Robert Mueller’s indictment of 12 officers of the GRU, Russia’s military intelligence agency, was purely for domestic propaganda purposes. The case was never intended to come to trial because it was presumed by Mueller that Russia would never extradite its own intelligence officers, and thus no holes would be poked in the purported evidence by defense counsel. (snip) Of course, anybody with half a brain would see that once the United States legitimizes criminal indictments of foreign intelligence officers in this way, other nations would apply the same logic to our own intelligence operations. President Trump’s diplomacy will continue to make America safe and strong, as long as he relies upon his own experience in negotiation and does not follow State Department guidance. The majority of our 75,382 State Department employees do not support our president. Many are openly scornful. Several ambassadors, ready to retire anyway and with full pensions locked in, have resigned dramatically. Under NFL rules, that´s an offense punishable by a suspension of up to four games. The Dolphins later told the AP that "all options are still open."
