James Comey book: President Obama

Hillary Clinton email investigation

Washington Examiner, by Kyle Feldscher

Former FBI Director James Comey doesn’t believe anyone in the government brought politics into the Hillary Clinton email investigation — aside from then-President Obama and Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who he believes "jeopardized" the Department of Justice. In his upcoming book, A Higher Loyalty, due out on Tuesday, Comey defends the FBI investigators who were charged with investigating Clinton’s private email server and her mishandling of classified information. The Washington Examiner obtained a copy of the book Sunday. “I never heard anyone on our team — not one — take a position that seemed driven by their personal political motivations. So Comey, who was suppose to be this crackerjack FBI agent, never saw or heard anything. He was either totally incompetent or political. I vote for the latter. He let Hillary skate because of political reasons: he thought she was going to win and he would keep his job. That´s political!

You have to figure that Comey does not think much of just about anyone who was higher up the bureaucratic/political food chain then he was during his time in the federal government.

Comey even took a swipe at his former boss, AG Alberto Gonzales.

One things for sure, James Comey is a certifiable hater.

I think Comey’s problem is he was fired & it deflated his ego beyond repair. He thought he was irreplaceable!

WASHINGTON — In a series of startlingly candid conversations, President Donald Trump told former FBI Director James Comey that he had serious concerns about the judgment of a top adviser, asked about the possibility of jailing journalists and described a boast from Vladimir Putin about Russian prostitutes, according to Comey’s notes of the talks obtained by The Associated Press on Thursday night. The 15 pages of documents contain new details about a series of interactions with Trump that Comey found so unnerving that he chose to document them in writing. Those seven encounters in the weeks and months before Comey’s May

Another wave of student walkouts is expected to disrupt classes Friday at hundreds of schools across the U.S. as young activists press for tougher gun laws. The protests were chosen to line up with the 19th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting, which left 13 people dead in Littleton, Colorado. At 10 a.m., students plan to gather for moments of silence honoring the victims at Columbine and other shootings. From there, some students will head to rallies at their statehouses. Others will stay at school to discuss gun violence. Some are holding voting registration drives. Organizers say there will be walkouts in

Former FBI director James Comey´s memos are out. Shortly after the Justice Department sent copies of former FBI director James Comey´s memos to Congress at the request of a group of House Republicans, news organizations got ahold of the 15-page, partially redacted documents. The memos, which detail private conversations Comey had with Donald Trump before and after he took office, outline interactions with Trump that Comey found to be questionable. Here are the biggest revelations from Comey´s memos:

Embattled attorney Michael Cohen has dropped a pair of much-touted libel suits against BuzzFeed and the private investigation firm Fusion GPS over publication of the so-called dossier detailing alleged ties between President Donald Trump and Russia. Cohen abandoned the suits late Wednesday as he continues to fight to recover documents and electronic files seized from his home, office and hotel room last week by federal authorities as part of what appears to be a broad criminal investigation into his conduct.

Greenhouse gas emissions continue to drop in the U.S., and the Environmental Protection Agency is crediting “American ingenuity” instead of global mandates. The EPA’s annual report highlights continued reductions in emissions — about 2 percent below 2015 levels and 11 percent below 2005 levels. Between 2005 and 2016, the report said, emissions in the U.S. electric power sector dropped by roughly 25 percent. The comprehensive report looked at U.S. emissions and removals by source, economic sector, and emissions going back to 1990.

Havana - Cuba turns to a model Communist Party official, Miguel Diaz-Canel, to steer it through a period of uncertainty when it finally turns the page on the Castro era in a vote on Thursday. The 57-year-old First Vice President is the pre-ordained choice of Raul Castro as he steps down, ensuring that the vote in the National Assembly to appoint him will be little more than a formality. The successor to Fidel and Raul Castro has spent three decades climbing to the summit of the Communist Party. He is ideally placed to continue to implement the economic reforms initiated

Conservatives can be expected to disagree reasonably over Justice Neil Gorsuch’s opinion Tuesday in Sessions v. Dimaya, in which he concurred with the Court’s liberals and cast the deciding vote in a 5-4 ruling invalidating an immigrant’s deportation. But it is not reasonable to claim that Justice Gorsuch has somehow sold out his principles to become the next David Souter. His opinion in Dimaya is actually a conservative one, based on an originalist reading of the Constitution. The majority held that Section 16(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act is unconstitutionally vague. The law, as written, provides a legal basis for the

First-term Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) is emerging as a Democratic presidential contender in 2020. However, according to Politico, her own voters in California do not really know much about her. In an article titled “Kamala Harris’ rapid rise confounds California,” Politico’s David Siders writes: Kamala Harris has been called “the female Barack Obama.” She’s built a national following with her outspoken criticism of Donald Trump and prolific fundraising for fellow Democrats. But the California senator’s rapid rise — she’s just 15 months into her first term — has created an awkward issue: Even as progressives tout her as one of
