´I wasn´t like those pretty girls with those nice
little noses´: Barbra Streisand, 75, says she has
never been sexually harassed and jokes it may be*

Daily Mail [UK], by Heidi Parker

Barbra Streisand said she´s never suffered sexual harassment but has felt abused by the media. During a tribute to Streisand´s decades of TV music specials and other programs, producer and long-time admirer Ryan Murphy queried her about her career, the #MeToo movement and her aversion to interviews. ´Never,´ she replied when asked if she had been sexually mistreated. ´I wasn´t like those pretty girls with those nice little noses. Maybe that´s why.´ She acknowledged the power of protests against gender inequality sweeping through Hollywood and society.

Until she opened her mouth (not singing) I always thought she was very attractive. But beauty is only skin deep. Stupid is to the bone.

Why did she bring it up? She has always thought it was an important issue? She should have stuck to discussing her career. That is, kept it professional.

Just guessing here, but I suspect that that large air intake she calls a nose is largely responsible for her singing ability - she should celebrate it.

I read a number of years ago that she had considered a nose job, but the drs couldn´t guarantee that it wouldn´t change her singing voice, so she didn´t do it.

Good for her, as far as I´m concerned, every chick who has a nose job has the exact same nose as every other one.

Eight armed Hamas terrorists fought Israeli troops last Monday. All were killed — then counted in the day’s death toll of “60 protesters.” Hamas itself identified 50 of the 60 “martyrs” as Hamas members and admitted to “terminological deception,” because it was deploying “peaceful resistance bolstered by a military force.” The widespread condemnations of Israel caused by characterizing those 50 violent fence-invaders as “peaceful” suggests how Palestinians are playing so many for dupes. Whatever your feelings about abortion, there’s no reasonable argument that taxpayers should be forced to subsidize an abortion chain which already operates handsomely in the black with the help of thousands of millionaire celebrity donors. President Trump’s action last week, barring Title X family planning funds from programs and facilities that perform abortions, is thus entirely right and reasonable. For all Planned Parenthood’s gnashing of teeth, the only thing to suffer will be its own profits and the rewards of its senior executives. A Cambridge professor with deep ties to American and British intelligence has been outed as an agent who snooped on the Trump presidential campaign for the FBI. Multiple media outlets have named Stefan Halper, 73, as the secret informant who met with Trump campaign advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos starting in the summer of 2016. The American-born academic previously served in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations. The revelation, stemming from recent reports in which FBI sources admitted sending an agent to snoop on the Trump camp, heightens suspicions that the FBI was seeking to entrap

Last week I reported that Internet sleuths had winkled out the name of the spy/agent provocateur that Obama´s intelligence officers had used on the Trump campaign. The New York Times and Washington Post, the Democrats´ semi-official newspapers this week megaphoned the instigators, offering up their justifications without naming his name. Again, the name is Stefan Halper, who, as I wrote here last week, was paid a substantial sum by the Department of Defense´s Office of Net Assessment. If it was for this work – and it suspiciously looks like it because the payments were made in July and September of 2016

As a committed Christian, I was happy to see the open presentation of the Christian faith at Saturday´s Royal Wedding. (snip) In a quick moment, Bishop Curry turned to the socialist world message of "Love." It snuck in through the side door of the church and landed on the lectern with hardly a noise. Curry later compounded his mistake by going down several rabbit trails that had nothing to do with a wedding, including a discussion of slavery. Worse were comments on Dr. King, who certainly was rolling over in his grave by that point, including quoting Dr. King´s favorite

WASHINGTON – Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) predicted that the Republican Party’s “genetic attachment” to the National Rifle Association “might actually cost them” seats in midterm elections. “It’s not as if we are convincing people what the right thing to do is. We’ve won the argument – 90 percent of Americans think that we should have universal background checks. Today, 67 percent of Americans, two-thirds of Americans think that should regulate the purchase and sale of assault weapons,” Murphy said at the Center for American Progress Ideas Conference on Tuesday. Murphy said the Republican Party’s relationship with the NRA has become more important

Boston — The former mayor of New Orleans is being honored for his leadership in removing Confederate memorials in his city. Mitch Landrieu will be presented with the 2018 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award for standing behind his decision to take down four monuments. The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation is paying tribute to Landrieu for taking the action despite legal challenges and outright threats from those who insist the Confederacy is an important part of New Orleans’ heritage. President Kennedy’s grandson, Jack Schlossberg, is scheduled to make Sunday night’s presentation.
