ICE Director Fires Back at Nancy Pelosi:
´How Dare You´ Call ICE Agents ´Cowardly´

Acting ICE Director Thomas Homan had some strong words Tuesday for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who accused the Trump administration and ICE agents of carrying out "cowardly attacks" on illegal immigrants. Pelosi issued the statement after the Justice Department filed a lawsuit against California, claiming three recently passed state laws are deliberately interfering with federal immigration enforcement. “The people of California will not be bowed by the Trump administration’s brazen aggression and intimidation tactics," the California Democrat said. "Californians will continue to proudly keep our doors open to the immigrants who make America more American. We will fight this sham lawsuit

Lawsuit? Fed Marshals should overnight triple their presence in Cal and arrest anyone who is interfering by protecting illegals.
That includes mayors and heads of local LE.o
Otherwise this picking and choosing laws will drag on for years while illegals continue to flaunt our laws, collect benefits, and send money out of the country.

Mexican criminals waving Mexican flags who only speak spanish make America more American? It isn´t the America I grew up in.

Here in New Mexico they only play regular Mexican music, German polkas and such. When I was out visiting my sister near the coast several years ago, the neighborhood was full of what I can only describe as some kind of weird satanic mexican music. It was spooky.

Why won´t anybody ask her what other laws can be disobeyed without consequences? Nobody ever asks those politicians who say the type of things Pelosi has said, about if America is a land of laws, which ones can be broken without fear of prosecution, or can we just pick and choose on our own. I´ve never heard it asked.

Since the feathered dinosaur revolution of the last couple decades, every time a dinosaur movie comes out it hatches think pieces about how the film is trampling on science. This will continue until Hollywood acquiesces and finally turns these bygone monsters into birds. As part of the press surrounding the latest Jurassic Park film, paleontologist Jack Horner was recently featured on KPCC’s “The Frame” to discuss his advisory role on the biggest dino franchise of them all. He’s been there pretty much since the beginning, and now he’s claiming that they knew back in 1992 and ‘93 that velociraptors had feathers.

Commenting on the U.S.’ withdrawal from the United Nations’ misnamed Human Rights Council, Ambassador Nikki Haley didn’t mince words. She called it a “hypocritical and self-serving” organization that actually protects rights abusers, and a “cesspool of political bias.” Although best-known for its peace-keeping in areas of conflict — where it enjoys a mixed record, at best — the U.N.’s agencies, commissions, and panels have a dismal record of accomplishment, especially while acting as the world’s regulator-wannabe for all manner of products, processes and activities. Republicans prepare bill allowing migrant

Republican lawmakers are preparing to vote on a more narrow immigration bill that would allow immigrant children to stay in detention facilities with their parents for more than 20 days, senior White House and Hill officials tell ABC News. The bill would correct an issue with President Trump´s executive order to stop the separation of children from parents who entered the country illegally. The existing law requires that children be released from detention after 20 days. The House is scheduled to vote on a larger "compromise" immigration bill early next week that would include DACA, border security and visas.

Immigration has always been the most inflammatory of political issues. We all have strong feelings. Mine are shaped by the fact that I’m an immigrant twice over. My parents fled communism in Hungary and were welcomed by Britain, where I was born and raised. And now here I am in America, making a new home for our family since we moved here in 2012. It’s impossible for me to be anything other than pro-immigration. Let me add a few more elements of personal context. Soon after moving to the U.S., I came back from a short foreign trip and was detained at one of America’s busiest airports. There was a technical

How to Fix the Border Crisis—

An ugly conundrum lies at the heart of the border crisis dominating our news coverage and social media feeds, complete with the sights and sounds of children separated from their parents: Under a 1997 settlement between the federal government and immigration activists, the government must choose between enforcing the law inhumanely and not enforcing it at all. The consent decree, known as the Flores agreement, was the product of nine years of litigation over the detention of unaccompanied minors apprehended crossing the border. It requires detained minors to be released as expeditiously as possible. In 2015, the 9th Circuit interpreted Flores´

A handful of new federal prosecutors have joined one of special counsel Robert S. In a pair of court filings Friday, the special counsel added four assistant U.S. attorneys to the case against Russian entities and people accused of running an online influence operation targeting American voters. People familiar with the staffing decision said the new prosecutors are not joining Mueller’s team, but rather are being added to the case

A misleading TIME magazine cover of President Trump looming over a crying migrant girl has exemplified the media’s eagerness to portray the administration’s immigration policies in the harshest possible light. But it seems the iconic magazine treated the Obama administration with comparative kid gloves over similar practices, and with covers focused instead on “Manopause” and butter. Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer John Moore captured the iconic photo of a 2-year-old Honduran girl crying as her mother was detained along the U.S.-Mexico border. Just over a year ago, White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney was being raked over the coals for his budget blueprint. In addition to supposed cuts to the Meals on Wheels program (which weren’t really cuts), the document projected savings of $72.5 billion within Social Security’s two main programs for the disabled. Liberal journalists injected outrage into their reports and columns. Some denounced this modest frugality as President Trump’s “deceitful attack on the disabled” and called the justifications for the reforms "false claims." Others snarkily but accurately noted that the cuts “will hurt Trump counties,” which perhaps should have signaled that
