Trump wants next spending
bill to punish sanctuary cities

Washington Times, by Stephen Dinan

The Trump administration has requested Congress move to strip sanctuary cities of federal grants in the spending bill due by the end of next week, a government official said Tuesday. The official briefed reporters aboard Air Force One as President Trump jetted to California to review the prototypes for his border wall. “We are 100 percent committed to challenging sanctuary cities. We will be successful,” the official said. But lawmakers on Capitol Hill have expressed skepticism about pressing the issue in the “omnibus” spending bill due by March 23, fearing it would spark a government shutdown showdown with Democrats. Am so glad to hear this. Would love to see the city commissioners and Sylvester Turner of Houston squirm because they can no longer fund their cronyism with federal dollars. Houston hasnt had a genuine conservative mayor since Kathy Whitmeier in the early 80s. This city is booming because of capitalism but the city keeps regurgitating leftist brats like Sheila Jackson Lee, Turner, that gay broad who pretended to be mayor but used city funds to commit activism against her opponents. Not saying that this will be the cure, but it will at least make them squirm and hurt them where it counts.

Not to mention my city will feel more like a Texan home than some third world refugee camp.

The IG’s Report May Be Half-Baked
National Review, by Andrew C. McCarthy    Original Article

You’ve got to hand it to Michael Horowitz: The Justice Department inspector general’s much-anticipated report on the Clinton-emails investigation may be half-baked, but if it is, it is the most comprehensive, meticulously detailed, carefully documented, thoughtfully reasoned epic in the history of half-bakery. Why say do I say the report “may be half-baked”? Why don’t I just come out and declare, “The report is half-baked”? Well, I figure if I write this column in the IG’s elusive style, we’ll have the Rosetta Stone we need to decipher the report. See, you probably sense that I believe the report is half-baked.

Biblical teachings, the U.S. southern border and the listening comprehension skills of CNN’s Jim Acosta all converged into a single debate this week during a White House press briefing. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and CNN’s chief White House correspondent got into a testy exchange on Thursday over the incarceration of illegal immigrants crossing into the U.S. from Mexico. At issue were comments by Attorney General Jeff Sessions on “Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13 to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained them for the purpose of order.”

Netflix has reportedly banned workers from looking at each other for more than five seconds as part of its new anti-harassment rules. The new policy also bans the company’s film crews from asking their colleagues for their phone numbers, according to an article in the Sun. “Senior staff went to a harassment meeting to learn what is and isn’t appropriate,” an on-set runner told the Sun. “Looking at anyone longer than five seconds is considered creepy.” “You mustn’t ask for someone’s number unless they have given permission for it to be distributed,” the source continued. “And if you see any unwanted behaviour, report it immediately.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told reporters on Thursday that she is confused why Americans aren’t “uprising” against the Trump administration over conditions on the border with Mexico. The California Democrat’s weekly press briefing veered into explosive territory when the subject of illegal immigration came up. Mrs. Pelosi said there may be “uprisings” over children who are separated at the U.S. southern border when asylum seekers decide not to arrive at a proper checkpoint. “I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be when people realize that this is a policy

The White House Press Corps has jumped the shark and needs to be reined in. While I respect and admire Sarah Huckabee Sanders´s work, and I enjoy her ability to spar with an increasingly hostile force, the daily briefings have become about the media agenda and not the White House´s agenda. Having a White House press credential is not a right; it is a privilege. The First Amendment prevents Congress from making any law ... abridging the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press. Congress should be taking a very hard look at the prosecution of George Papadopoulos. To these eyes, the harder one looks, the more the Papadopoulos case appears to be much ado about nothing. That is no small thing: The “much ado” here is a purported Trump–Russia conspiracy to subvert a presidential election. There has always been something fishy about the charge filed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller against Papadopoulos, who was a green-as-grass 28-year-old when he made the big primary-season move from Ben Carson–campaign novice to Trump-campaign novice. Peruse the “Statement of the Offense,” filed by Mueller’s lead prosecutor on

You wonder why Fox News is Number One in cable? It´s because CNN, MSNBC, NBC and the rest are so relentlessly negative about Donald Trump they force people to watch Fox to find out the truth about the growing economy or the historically low unemployment rates for blacks. Take this week´s Singapore Summit. No matter what President Trump accomplished in Singapore in his face-to-face meeting with North Korea´s Kim Jong Un, for Joe, Mika and their fellow foreign policy experts in the media, it was not enough.
