Hillary’s Bitter Clinging
National Review Online, by Michael Brendan Dougherty

Original Article

Bitter clingers. The 47 percent who are takers. You’d think after Barack Obama and Mitt Romney got burned for coining these appellations, ambitious pols would learn not to talk about the opposing party’s voters that way. Both those comments were said before private audiences and leaked out. But Hillary did them better by offering her diagnosis of the “basket of deplorables” at a public campaign event. And she refuses to learn even still. At a conference in India yesterday she confidently explained the 2016 election this way: I won the places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product. . . .

George W. Bush defeated Al Gore in 2000 in the Electoral College. Gore still, this almost 20 years later, introduces himself occasionally as the man who was REALLY elected President.

Are we going to hear 20 years of Hillary doing the same? At least Gore hasn´t run around spitting on those who didn´t vote for him.

Dougherty tellingly writes that Hillary! combines self pity with contempt. She seems to think she´s heaven´s gift to humanity. The woman that people in the West Wing used to duck away from in any hiding places large enough because she was such an imperious, um, witch who would curse them for eyeballing her appears to hate everyone except those in her immediate circle. This foul mouthed harpy, this loveless bone and career breaker, wants to be loved. Sorry, Hillary. You get what you give, and you ain´t given what you want to get back. So stuff it.

FTA: Effectively, Clinton admitted she disclaims any responsibility to the states she lost, arguing that they deserve their lower economic status on account of their wickedness. Whereas she and her constituents deserve their riches, on account of their notional commitment to egalitarianism.

Re #1: Most assuredly, Her Heinous will not be here in twenty years. If she makes ten more she´ll be lucky; her health is poor, and she´s all used up. Using people as she has for so long, hating with the soul destroying ferocity of her various hatreds, makes one prematurely old and brittle.

Yes, Al Gore, the Prince of Dorkness, lost to W, went starkers, got rich on his political connections, got offendingly (as opposed to pleasingly) plump, manustuprates to climate porn, and likes telling us that he used to be the next president. I wouldn´t cross the street to see him, but it warms my cockles that he´s still bleeding inside after losing to fiddlesticks Bush. I revel in his agony. And in that of Her Thighness. Every now and then life delivers a crushing pile of boulders atop the hopes of some of the most unjustified dreamers.

Hillary is a mentally ill person. You cannot go on and on almost 1 1/2 years about losing an election. Certainly there are other things she is interested in. Had she been a gracious loser, I believe she would be having an enjoyable and fulfilling life. She chose the misery she´s living in today.
Grace and humility can go a long way to a life lived in peace with yourself.

FTA: “Their desire to publicly announce and witness to their moral separation from the ‘rest’ of the country frequently outweighs their better judgment on how to acquire power.”

Ah, the hook Satan imbedded in the bait. Every time Ole Scratch inks a deal there is always fine print. The godless socialists idolize themselves and believe their own press; their poo don’t stink. History is not kind to those who like to lord it over people and control their lives as if they’re marionettes. It never works out well for the puppeteer when the strings break. The Trump-Russia sleuthers have been back in the news, again giving Americans cause to doubt their claims of nonpartisanship. Last week it was Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Peter Strzok testifying to Congress that he harbored no bias against a president he still describes as “horrible” and “disgusting.” This week it was former FBI Director Jim Comey tweet-lecturing Americans on their duty to vote Democratic in November. But the man who deserves a belated bit of scrutiny is former Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan. He’s accused President Trump of “venality, moral turpitude and political corruption,” and berated GOP investigations of

Why Dust from the Sahara

Texas Monthly, by Doyin Oyeniyi    Original Article

You may have noticed the big Texas sky looks a little opaque this week. That’s because of a visiting cloud of dust from the Saharan Desert, which blew over the Atlantic about a week ago to settle over the Gulf Coast. While the African dust outbreak—the second to visit Texas this year—may seem like an anomaly, they’ve been occurring for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. The traveling dust outbreaks, called the Saharan Air Layer by scientists, typically occur during the summer season and are due to storms in the Sahel region of Africa. “During this time of year, we

Robert Mueller did his reputation for nonpartisanship no service by launching his indictment of Russia’s military hackers on the eve of what 99% of the media now say was a disastrous performance by President Trump in his summit with Vladimir Putin. This is the same Mr. Mueller who, as FBI chief, sat for five years on the indictment of a Russian uranium executive when it would have been embarrassing to Mr. Obama’s own Russia rapprochement—and doubly embarrassing to his secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, because of the connection of the Clinton Foundation to the Russian uranium business in question. As Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination tees up another national debate about reproductive rights, is it too much to ask that abortion’s impact on the black population be part of the discussion? When the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade in 1973, polling showed that blacks were less likely than whites to support abortion. Sixties-era civil rights activists like Fannie Lou Hamer and Whitney Young had denounced the procedure as a form of genocide. Jesse Jackson called abortion “murder” and once told a black newspaper in Chicago that “we used to look for death from the man in the blue

By picking Brett Kavanaugh as his Supreme Court nominee, President Trump showed that credentials and connections still matter — when backed up by results. One of the most scholarly members of the judiciary, Kavanaugh’s more than 300 opinions are read widely and influence courts across the country — including the one that he now hopes to join. There are few if any more respected lower-court judges. More important than his erudition is Kavanaugh’s intense commitment to constitutional structure. As Anthony Kennedy, the justice he clerked for and now seeks to succeed, often emphasized, this is vital not simply to the functioning

Ted Cruz´s seat in the fall, tucked an "I Love You El Paso" T-shirt into his pants. Strumming a guitar, he sang "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die" — a message on brand for famous pothead Willie Nelson and O´Rourke´s pro-marijuana legalization stance. Environmental extremism increasingly dominates California. The state has taken upon itself the mission of limiting the flatulence of cows and other farm animals.
