SACRAMENTO, California — California Governor Jerry Brown complained Wednesday that the Trump administration “is basically going to war against the state of California” after Attorney General Jeff Sessions filed a lawsuit Tuesday evening against California’s “sanctuary state” laws. The lawsuit targets three laws in particular: the Immigrant Worker Protection Act (HB 450), the Inspection and Review of Facilities Housing Federal Detainees law (AB 103); and the California Values Act (SB 54). The Trump administration argues that California’s laws are unconstitutional under the Supremacy Clause, which states that federal law “shall be the supreme Law of the Land.” Sessions flew to

So forcing California to obey the Constitution is going to war. The left really doesn´t like rules unless they get to make them.

Message to Moonbeam. Go ahead and secede. It will be a lot easier and faster to clean up California when we can do it with the military and bullets. Do you really think the rest of the US can afford to leave a coastline as large as CA as being independent from the rest of the country?

There are adults in charge now. Get ready to go down.

Ignoring, flaunting, and even subverting the stated, voted on, and adjudicated word of the law is treason. Traitors by their very nature have gone to war against their own state.

So NO, Moonbeam, it´s the traitorous potentates of the People´s Republic of Urban California that have gone to WAR against the rest of America.

Gentle deplorables, we are gonna need WAY more pitchforks, torches, tar, and feathers before this is done!!

lets see if I got this right, the cities, counties and state of California, at least a lot of them, declared themselves to be against the laws of the United States of America, as passed by the Legislative bodies of the United States, including the ones from California. In effect the gave the middle finger of disrespect to the Federal government and the laws that govern all of us who are citizens of the United states. The President of the United States and the Dept of Justice push back against the state and municipal law breakers. This is of course Trump "Declaring War" on California. Riiight, can´t wait to see the perp walk on this one.

I Have long felt that all of the "normals" should bring their sharp instruments to the border and start chipping away, with any luck the freakin state would just float away.

The pedestrian bridge that collapsed at Florida International University´s Miami-Dade campus today, killing several people, was funded with $11.4 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation´s Transportation Investments Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) program. The TIGER program has come under repeated fire for awarding money based on politics rather than merit. (Snip) In 2014, the GAO released a report that was highly critical of how DOT handled the TIGER V grants, which included money for the FIU pedestrian bridge project. The report said DOT advanced projects with lower technical ratings in lieu of those with higher technical ratings and upgraded the

"I have received a number of letters from Palestinian academics," Stephen Hawking said in his declaration of support for the BDS movement. "They are unanimous that I should respect the boycott. In view of this, I must withdraw from the conference." The conference was in 2013, in Jerusalem, and hosted by Shimon Peres, an Israeli leader who spent his career as an indefatigable advocate of peace. It didn´t matter. Hawking joined the BDS movement because he never met a fashionable far-left cause he didn´t like, and Israel-bashing was one of his favorites. In 2009, when Israel counterattacked after four years of Hamas

Friday´s firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, based on a report from the Office of Professional Responsibility, is only the beginning of what is likely to be the most explosive series of revelations in American history. Forget Watergate. It will be the distant past once the Inspector General´s reports—there apparently will be more than one—start to come out. This will be the "Gate of Gates." From the FBI and across the intelligence agencies an astonishing number of people are going to find themselves accused, one can safely predict at this point, of some atrocious behavior in

Senator Jeff Flake loves to lecture. Jeff Flake especially loves to lecture Republicans. The good news is he will no longer be a senator next year. The bad news is this d**che will either be a regular on CNN or MSNBC. Flake spoke at St. Anselm college this week. He lectured Republicans on global warming junk science. "“Republicans as a party need to be more accepting of reality. Climate change is real, and it is happening.”
