Florida Senate values guns over kids
Tampa Bay Times, by Editorial

Original Article

By a single vote, the Florida Senate on Monday approved a sweeping response to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas massacre that includes too little gun control and too much emphasis on transforming schools into armed fortresses. Republicans altered an unpopular plan to arm teachers to allow personnel such as principals, counselors and librarians — but not most teachers — to secretly carry guns. That is window dressing for what remains a dangerous plan to put more guns on campuses. Only law enforcement officers should carry guns in schools. The legislation has positive provisions such as raising the age to buy all

Absolute media insanity. Childish hysteria. Emotionally charging the "Bad old gun" instead of the people who use them to harm others. There really is not rationality left in these people. They have allowed themselves to fall into the mob mentality and simply find that place comfortable. They do not have to think or reason. They just shout, and go with the flow. I have never seen adult human beings behave this way outside of a mob. It´s actually kind of scary.

Do not give way to the Left´s evil demands. Americans must stay able to defend themselves, their babies and beloved elderly ones. History tells of the millions killed or starved under regimes that legislated away the right to bear arms. It goes on today. BTW, whatever happened to all the arms and high-powered ammo that was purchased by the Obama Administration for NASA, Homeland Security, and others???

The Tampa Bay Timmes values their gun control narravtive over kids. Why should only law enforcement officers carry guns in schools, especially if they are going to be told to Stand Down when it counts. Concealed Carry holders often have much more training and practice than police officers, who only qualify once a year and then rarely touch their guns.

Until the media starts admitting the real problem here, which is Leftist Obama style policies, they will have no credibility on the subject of school shootings.

After 50 years of failed Leftist policies in this country, we are seeing their chickens coming home to roost, and it is going to get uglier before it gets better. Runcie and his ilk built this, and there is no getting around that reality.

If these school shootings stop, our enemies will lose what may very well be the only route to disarming us.
This could delay complete subjugation of US citizens by decades or more.
Also, CPS should check on the author´s children. Maybe one of them is homicidal and the author fears for the homicidal ones safety.

They have already started to move on to trade since Trump announced his tariffs. News has become all politics all the time.

Why do we consider it appropriate to protect adults that pretend for a living with armed guards but don´t consider do the same for our children?

And we are supposed to be one nation? The left accuses those who agree with many of us of choosing an inanimate object over human life, children no less, and we are supposed to have open honest debate with these people? It is they who have and continue to place children at risk by ignoring harsh realities and imposing their fantasies through the coercive power of government. But I genuinely believe that they are deluded opposed to evil. I’d love to discuss our disparate views of reality but it doesn’t start with either of us accusing the other of being evil willingly sacrificing children for our toys or egos.

They have no intention of facing opposition in an open exchange of differences but rather pick the Alinsky path of demolishing those who dare disagree.

And Tampa Bay Times,...... and the horse you rode in on.

Americans used to respect life and respect one another but no more due to liberal beliefs and policies.

Guns are inanimate objects that can be used for good or evil. Address the causes of evil intent, not the tools used to carry out that intent.

Pretty much everyone above has properly pegged the TB Times as an incontinently leftist, rotary, rotating, ideological bilge pump, utterly insensible to reason, insular, insulated, contemptuous of learning, self-satisfied, sniffy, snorty, retromingent, holier than thou, colonic projectile thinkers bad performers, fools ... bummers on the breakfast table with tea, toast, and eggs.

The paper´s "Politifact" (yeah, right!) division was actually about to hire the appalling, rabidly portside partisan Orlando Rep. Alan "Die quickly" Grayson as a responsible left of center fact verifier for Politifact when it got out to the public causing an angry reaction, and the offer was quashed. At least I certainly hope so.

The Tampa Bay Times (né St. Petersburg) is a tough read because there´s so much Narrative there. The Hive, always buzzing. But it´s where the Opposition hang out. To know them is to want to make them despondent, dejected, empty, catatonic, quiet, beaten, defeated. Skivvies full.

I miss the old Tampa Tribune, last published and delivered on May 3, 2016, which had a center-right editorial orientation, but got the Pac-man treatment from its across the Bay neighbor.

It is the inequality between the outside and inside temperatures that the door is intended to preserve. The problem of keeping the room cool while leaving the door open is now consuming Angela Merekel´s European Union as the refugee problem grows in political size. Dipping into the Department of Justice Inspector General report released yesterday, we are inundated with information and interesting story lines. One such story line involves Bill Clinton’s response to the uproar created over his tarmac meeting with then Attorney General Loretta Lynch the Monday before Hillary Clinton’s scheduled weekend interview with the FBI in the email “investigation,” as we should probably refer to it. The uproar led to FBI Director James Comey improperly inserting himself into the decision making role over the prosecution of Hillary Clinton. A story of high tragedy is buried deep in the inspector general´s (IG) report published Thursday. Like Oedipus before him, FBI staffer Peter Strzok feared a terrible future and fought to prevent it. Ironically, his very efforts to stop Donald Trump from becoming president may have sealed that very fate. Lisa Page, Strzok´s co-worker and lover, breathlessly texted him, "[Trump´s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!" To this, Strzok replied, "No. No he won´t. We´ll stop it." Page and Strzok have become notorious for the anti-Trump texts they sent to one another. The IG report cited these texts as

Despite misleading headlines, the inspector general´s report on the FBI´s investigation into Hillary Clinton´s emails shows a powerful law enforcement agency hobbled by bias and dishonesty. The press has seized on the IG´s statement that he "did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that improper considerations, including political bias, directly affected the specific investigative decisions we reviewed." FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- An Indiana hospital for the Department of Veterans Affairs temporarily removed its military flags to put up an LGBT pride flag Tuesday. Some veterans in Fort Wayne, Indiana arrived at the VA hospital Tuesday morning and noticed all the military flags had been removed. On one of the flagpoles was a rainbow flag, in honor of LGBT pride month, WPTA in Fort Wayne reported. Some people in the area questioned the VA´s decision. "It´s certainly worth recognizing the veterans who are from that community who have served," Jarrod Schwartz, a veteran, said. "It´s a little odd,

The president of Harvard´s teaching hospital got to thinking one day and decided there were too many portraits of white male doctors hung in a popular amphitheater. She bemoaned the horrible situation that people walking into the amphitheater didn´t feel like they "belonged." The problem cried out for a solution. So she moved several portraits of prominent white doctors in order to be more diverse and inclusive. Problem solved? Campus Reform: The hospital’s president, Dr. Betsy Nabel, told the Globe that moving the portraits is the right decision: “I have watched the faces of individuals as they have come into Bornstein.

Bill Maher suggested there should be a movement for people who have been victims of police brutality after a discussion on his show about police brutality. During a segment on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher, Maher called out abusive police officers and the people who protect him on Friday. “We need to stop saying most cops are good like we know that to be true,” Maher said. “I hope it’s true, but I need some evidence, unlike cops.” The HBO show host continued and said the violence exposed by the people who post the videos on social media is a problem. He questioned the kindness of police and questioned why there are

Phil Mickelson´s 48th birthday took a stunning turn at the US Open on Saturday when he stopped a putt from rolling off the 13th green. Clearly at the end of his tether after a shocking run of bogeys in his third round, the much-decorated American embarrassed himself when another putt rolled past the hole. Instead of waiting to see where it finished, he stopped the ball with his putter and knocked it back whence it came. (Photos/Video) It meant an automatic two-shot penalty and he ended up with a 10 for the hole. ´That´s absolutely amazing, that´s Phil basically giving

A Massachusetts high school has halted yearbook sales after realizing that a senior quote inside was linked to Adolf Hitler. ´Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it,´ read the quote under one senior´s photo in the Andover High School yearbook, the school realized this week. The quote, though not word-for-word, seems to reference the concept of the ´big lie´ famous from the writings of both Hitler and Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbles. Horrified at the discovery, the school halted yearbook sales and is offering a special sticker to those who have
