Florida Senate values guns over kids
Tampa Bay Times, by Editorial

Original Article

By a single vote, the Florida Senate on Monday approved a sweeping response to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas massacre that includes too little gun control and too much emphasis on transforming schools into armed fortresses. Republicans altered an unpopular plan to arm teachers to allow personnel such as principals, counselors and librarians — but not most teachers — to secretly carry guns. That is window dressing for what remains a dangerous plan to put more guns on campuses. Only law enforcement officers should carry guns in schools. The legislation has positive provisions such as raising the age to buy all

Absolute media insanity. Childish hysteria. Emotionally charging the "Bad old gun" instead of the people who use them to harm others. There really is not rationality left in these people. They have allowed themselves to fall into the mob mentality and simply find that place comfortable. They do not have to think or reason. They just shout, and go with the flow. I have never seen adult human beings behave this way outside of a mob. It´s actually kind of scary.

Do not give way to the Left´s evil demands. Americans must stay able to defend themselves, their babies and beloved elderly ones. History tells of the millions killed or starved under regimes that legislated away the right to bear arms. It goes on today. BTW, whatever happened to all the arms and high-powered ammo that was purchased by the Obama Administration for NASA, Homeland Security, and others???

The Tampa Bay Timmes values their gun control narravtive over kids. Why should only law enforcement officers carry guns in schools, especially if they are going to be told to Stand Down when it counts. Concealed Carry holders often have much more training and practice than police officers, who only qualify once a year and then rarely touch their guns.

Until the media starts admitting the real problem here, which is Leftist Obama style policies, they will have no credibility on the subject of school shootings.

After 50 years of failed Leftist policies in this country, we are seeing their chickens coming home to roost, and it is going to get uglier before it gets better. Runcie and his ilk built this, and there is no getting around that reality.

If these school shootings stop, our enemies will lose what may very well be the only route to disarming us.
This could delay complete subjugation of US citizens by decades or more.
Also, CPS should check on the author´s children. Maybe one of them is homicidal and the author fears for the homicidal ones safety.

They have already started to move on to trade since Trump announced his tariffs. News has become all politics all the time.

At the Oscars, about 500 armed guards protected the creme de la creme in our society. The Hollywood elite. Yet, we can´t spare one armed guard to protect our children. Why do we consider it appropriate to protect adults that pretend for a living with armed guards but don´t consider do the same for our children?

And we are supposed to be one nation? The left accuses those who agree with many of us of choosing an inanimate object over human life, children no less, and we are supposed to have open honest debate with these people? It is they who have and continue to place children at risk by ignoring harsh realities and imposing their fantasies through the coercive power of government. But I genuinely believe that they are deluded opposed to evil. I’d love to discuss our disparate views of reality but it doesn’t start with either of us accusing the other of being evil willingly sacrificing children for our toys or egos.

They have no intention of facing opposition in an open exchange of differences but rather pick the Alinsky path of demolishing those who dare disagree.

And Tampa Bay Times,...... and the horse you rode in on.

Americans used to respect life and respect one another but no more due to liberal beliefs and policies.

Guns are inanimate objects that can be used for good or evil. Address the causes of evil intent, not the tools used to carry out that intent.

Pretty much everyone above has properly pegged the TB Times as an incontinently leftist, rotary, rotating, ideological bilge pump, utterly insensible to reason, insular, insulated, contemptuous of learning, self-satisfied, sniffy, snorty, retromingent, holier than thou, colonic projectile thinkers bad performers, fools ... bummers on the breakfast table with tea, toast, and eggs.

The paper´s "Politifact" (yeah, right!) division was actually about to hire the appalling, rabidly portside partisan Orlando Rep. Alan "Die quickly" Grayson as a responsible left of center fact verifier for Politifact when it got out to the public causing an angry reaction, and the offer was quashed. At least I certainly hope so.

The Tampa Bay Times (né St. Petersburg) is a tough read because there´s so much Narrative there. The Hive, always buzzing. But it´s where the Opposition hang out. To know them is to want to make them despondent, dejected, empty, catatonic, quiet, beaten, defeated. Skivvies full.

I miss the old Tampa Tribune, last published and delivered on May 3, 2016, which had a center-right editorial orientation, but got the Pac-man treatment from its across the Bay neighbor.

TAMPA — Past midnight, a few hours after he reported his wife’s death, Harold Allen sat in an interrogation room wearing shorts, flip-flops and a faded white T-shirt. Gray hair peeked out of a dark ball cap. "I should have made her get her butt to the hospital," he said with a shrug. "And I just respected her feelings, which I shouldn’t have done, I guess." This was how he explained Karen Allen’s slide from a 74-year-old wife and mother of two to the 68 pounds of flesh and bone that homicide detectives found beneath a bedsheet that day in January 2017. Explanations did not satisfy investigators.

The British government has directly accused Russia of using a very sophisticated chemical weapon ---a "poison gas" in common idiom -- in a failed attempt to murder a former Russian defector and his daughter. A vengeful Kremlin assassination team prowling Britain sounds like a scene in a Cold War spy novel and the botched March 4 homicide has Cold War echoes. The targets, former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, were sitting on a park bench in Salisbury, England. However, immediate 21st century contexts matter. Vladimir Putin´s Russia is an especially relevant context. Putin´s Kremlin is currently engaged in global

Today students were excused from classrooms all across America to participate in demonstrations in favor of firearms bans of one sort or another.
