´He´s the Winner of the Olympics.´
Adam Rippon Stole Everyone´s
Hearts During the Olympics

U.S. figure skater Adam Rippon did not medal in his final event at the 2018 Winter Olympics, but he remains an Olympic star nonetheless. Rippon emerged as a fan favorite during the Olympics, loved especially for the artistic beauty of his routine, his honesty and hilarious tweets. He also made headlines for a feud with Vice President Mike Pence over the politician’s stance on gay rights. The skater took home a bronze medal in the team event for figure skating. Rippon finished in the men’s figure skating long program Friday, and although he didn’t earn a medal in that event, it was

He didn´t steal mine.

Dull gay agenda swish pablum if you listen to the tape. Barf alert.

Everyone is a very relative term, their numbers are way down over previous Olympics. Gee, I wonder if politicizing the games, be it Adam or fawning over a dictator´s sister had anything to do with that?

Who cares about the meaningless jibber that Time produces? Only a liberal rag would call this loud mouth "the winner of the Olympics."

I stopped watching the Olympics when the backstory became more important than the athletic competition.

I only saw him at the beginning when he injected his sexual preference into to spotlight. And read about him at the end of his participation. Complaining about his sexual persuasion taking the spotlight from his performance. May his fifteen minutes be over.

Meanwhile, back at the Olympics, NBC has also become immersed in the SJW culture but they have totally failed to put on competent or successful programming. I can´t remember seeing such a disorganized, confusing series of programs. It is often unwatchable. They were so carried away with their anti-Trump PCisms, (they had Ripon on camera for what seemed like hours and Johnny Weir in his "look at me" persona had us switching the channel). The network may be filled with SJW´s but they certainly lack professionals or even adults (who would have the courage to tell the idiots that they are idiots).

The voice of Jim McKay comes to mind..."the thrill of victory....and the agony of defeat"

Talented as Rippon is, rather than make his points on the ice, he has tried to make this about himself and his gayness.

The media is lapping it up, and it comes to mind that the media coverage and interest is more about the gayness than actual ability.

Just to be there should be an amazing feat, but I wonder how many viewers turn it off shenever he is on there... could that be the reason for the low ratings, is the constant effort to make him a hero?

Personally, Nathan Chen´s six quad jumps took my breath away. Even more than the three "champs" that took the podium. His performance was for the record books.

Adam Rippon is a good skater, maybe he´ll be "great" someday. But if you put the partisan political opinions away, he still came in down the list.

Nathan Chen, hang in there. Next WO, you´ll be on that podium where you belonged this time.

Here is one LDotter who will admit to watching the Olympics and for the most part enjoying them.

Especially curling, which brings back memories of sprinting full speed down our hardwood hallway then putting on the brakes and sliding as far as possible in sock feet (gym socks). Olympic curling stones, about 40 pounds apiece, are comprised of a rare blue granite, "Blue Hone," that can be found on Ailsa Craig, an island off the Ayrshire coast of Scotland, although harvests are rare, the last occurring in 2013.

The sport of curling has similarities to shuffleboard, a big sport in many Florida retirement communities. Less than two miles north of downtown Clearwater´s Fort Harrison Hotel (Scientology´s "Flag" Base) on Alternate 19 is a shuffleboard complex, probably fifty courts--I have no idea--maybe the biggest of its kind in the world. It´s been there for over forty years and I never saw anyone there. Not one car in the parking lot, not one live body.

Olympic figure skating is among sporting´s most graceful pursuits. I have great respect for these and all athletes who give their lives for excellence. The lady figure skaters--except Tonya Harding and a few others--are thin and have or have had sensational legs that I can´t get enough of.

The men figure skaters are impressive, but did NBC go way out of their way to choose the most ostentatiously gay color commentator they could find? I mean, this estrogen soaked bloody poof must be the president of the Judy Garland pretend slave club or something. We´re being pelted with perversion right in our faces. Lord have mercy.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation´s Office of Professional Responsibility recommended the firing of Deputy Director Andrew McCabe Friday for leaking to the media and lying about it to investigators, as is about right for an embattled bureau seeking to rectify the damage to its reputation for probity. According to the Washington Examiner: ProPublica has issued a correction for mistakenly saying in an article that Gina Haspel, President Trump’s nominee to head the CIA, was involved with the treatment a terror suspect and falsely stated she mocked the suspect. Although Haspel, who has been with the CIA since 1985, was in charge of a covert CIA prison in Thailand where detainees

His career really went down the toilet. Outgoing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was reportedly sitting on the loo when the White House chief of staff called to deliver the bad news. Tillerson, who was on a trip to Africa, was suffering from a stomach bug when Chief of Staff John Kelly informed him to return to DC and be on the lookout for a presidential tweet, according to the Daily Beast. Kelly was speaking in an off-the-record meeting with reporters when he made the potty revelation. It was later leaked to the website. During the call, the chief of

After firing a stolen gun and killing Kate Steinle on the San Francisco waterfront in 2015, and then getting away with it in front of a leftwing jury which signaled motivation to strike back at President Trump, do you think Jose Ines Garcia-Zarate, is going away quietly? Do you think the five-times-deported illegal alien drug dealer and transient, with a record of seven felonies, will just allow himself to be deported, and then come back as he always does? Nope, not the case. He´s apparently gotten a pile of leftwing-lawyer backing to sue the federal government over his ´vindictive prosecution.´

The very expensive ($70.9 billion in 2016) federal food stamp program (officially: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP) is an open invitation to fraud. The latest indicator comes from Jacksonville, Florida. News4Jax.com (Channel 4 in Jacksonville) reports: Sheriff Mike Williams announced Tuesday the results of a multi-agency, undercover investigation into the exchange of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits for cash and, in at least one case, cocaine. From 2012 to 2017, Jacksonville Sheriff´s Office detectives, working with federal and state agencies, documented more than 22,000 fraudulent

Conor Lamb´s congressional victory in Pennsylvania wasn´t just bad news for his Republican opponent, Rick Saccone. Guess who else lost big from this special election? Yep, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is finding herself a massive liability to her party, and now swamp-watcher Mike Allen of Axios is reporting that she´s actually tottering. In a top post headlined ´Pelosi in Peril,´ Allen writes: Top Democrats tell me that if they take back the House in November, a restoration of Speaker Nancy Pelosi is no longer guaranteed. In fact, some well-wired House Democrats predict she will be forced aside after the election and replaced

Waving the flag of the country they´d do anything to avoid being sent back to, DREAMers were out in force as President Trump´s plane touched down in San Diego. The Mexican flags flew and the hate-Trump chants pounded from the left. But don´t expect the rest of the media to notice any of this. Or the chants of ´Si se puede!´ or the Che banners and t-shirts, the foul language, or the scads of ethnic Mexican clothing to demonstrate the absence of assimilation. Nope, most of the press did its level best to keep such images out of the news and

Here´s something we learn from Colombia: no one, and I mean no one, likes left-wing thugs, the creeps who prance around in Che t-shirts, get government bennies, and literally get away with murder. That´s the result of an election held there over the weekend, where FARC Marxist narco-terrorists got next to nothing in the vaunted "peace process" elections, in the culmination of the oh, so globally vaunted peace process that got Colombia´s appeasionist president, Juan Manuel Santos, the Nobel Peace Prize. Seeing FARC´s Marxist narco-terrorists on the ballot with ten free seats in Congress, the final word was that voters just

Back when Ronald Reagan was president, he pointed to many pages worth of “Help Wanted” ads in the Washington Post as one of many pieces of evidence that his economic policies were working. His enemies on the left predictably responded that Reaganomics was merely producing jobs of the “burger flipper” variety. The market that was the voting booth revealed Reagan’s critics as hopelessly deluded: with elections always and everywhere about the economy, he won re-election in 1984 in landslide fashion, 49 states to 1. But to show readers just how similar and tribal left and right in the U.S. have become,

Who died and made NeverTrump Michael Gerson the pope of the Evangelicals? His nearly 7,000-word screed in The Atlantic condemning Evangelical Christians for electing and supporting President Trump shows just how out of touch he is. Gerson is on a roll. He´s written a long piece in the magazine of the hoity-toity, The Atlantic, upbraiding Evangelicals for their support for President Trump and pronouncing them finished as a force for not understanding their own Christianity. The whole thing had an absolutely creepy holier-than-thou tone, looking down his nose as he does at Christians. He uses his own past as an Evangelical,

Hogg posted the video advertisement for the March 24 protest on his Twitter account, asking “#WhatIf we could go to school without fearing for our lives?” The video starts on an edgy note, with Hogg glaring into the camera and declaring, “What if our politicians weren’t the b**ch of the NRA?” “What if we all voted and said this was not okay?” he continued. “What if we stood up as Americans and fought for our freedom and our children’s lives? Hillary Clinton provided an explanation for some recent comments she made that she understood ´upset or offended´ some Americans – statements that drew criticism from fellow Democrats and the Trump White House alike. ´I understand how some of what I said upset people and can be misinterpreted. First there was the casual sexism: the reason white women didn’t back her when she ran for president, Hillary Clinton believes, is “a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.” Have you noticed that her sneering always seems to take the same form? She’s become the queen of the contemptuous listicle that tails off into a snarling “whatever.” Remember the formulation in the speech where she came up with the term “basket of deplorables?” “You could put half of Trump´s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables,” Hillary said.

Democratic lawmakers have offered to hire fired former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe so that he can qualify for his pension. McCabe´s employment was terminated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions less than 48 hours before he would have qualified for his pension, a day that was also his 50th birthday. Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Wis., asked McCabe on Twitter to "call him." "I could use a good two-day report on the biggest crime families in Washington, D.C.," he wrote. Sen Lindsey Graham, during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union”, said that Mr Mueller is following the evidence where it takes him as he investigates Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election. Getting rid of Mr Mueller, the senator said, would be a step too far. “If he tried to do that, that would be the beginning of the end of his presidency, because we´re a rule of law nation,” Mr Graham said. ”I think it´s very important he be allowed to do

Armed sheriff´s deputies appeared on the scene of the recent school massacre in Florida while kids were still being murdered inside. But the deputies failed to storm the building to apprehend the killer, to rescue the assaulted, to stop the bleeding and to comfort the dying. They failed to do their jobs. Instead, they cowered behind their patrol cars waiting for, well, apparently waiting for the shooting to stop. Some 150 bullets and 17 lives later, it finally did and the killer walked away. Only then did the deputies enter the building. About that, President Donald Trump characteristically said what he thought. He

As free agency kicked off the start of a new football season, the NFL sent a clear message to anyone paying attention: Colin Kaepernick, you´re still not wanted. Probably not ever. Oh, and while we´re at it, it´s pretty clear the owners have every intention of clamping down on any other players who tries to carry on Kaepernick´s legacy. Rattled by another big dip in the television ratings and an increasing number of empty seats, the league seems determined to banish peaceful protest from the playing field. While it´s quite a stretch to say those trends are intimately related —
