So very sad for the victims and their families. Will the media ever clue in on the huge number of these killers who are on antidepression and other mind altering drugs?

Some sources reporting that he was forced out of school as a threat some time earlier. Not sure if this is accurate.

A small percentage of young males at this age somehow mentally trip over into psychotic behavior, according to psychiatrists. Identifying them before they act violently needs to be a greater priority, clearly.

The media will again scream to ban all guns.

He sounds like someone who should not have been allowed to purchase a gun. It will be interesting to see if he purchased it himself. If we are going to have lists of people who should not have guns, they need to be up to date and accurate.

If there can be multipliers for "hate crimes" there can be special conditions for these school attacks. I would like to see Congress pass legislation making the commission of a violent attack on school children, upon conviction a MANDATORY death penalty. There should be no more than ONE appeal, to be completed within 60 days.

BUT if your accused AND have demonstrable bat s*** crazy behavior there have to be consequences. I bet the mass murder rate would drop... h*ll the murder rate would drop by more the 50 %

Teachers need to have concealed carry and practice to use it when necessary. Opting out is OK, but when they do, they´d better damn well know Active Shooter defensive maneuvers.

The school administration knew this guy was dangerous, made threats, and had even guns, yet they allowed him on campus? I´m not one to armchair quarterback but this is insane. Policies need to be established and followed. How many school shootings do we need to go through before the administrators start taking security more seriously than Black Female History Month?

It is past time to consider proper parenting. Today’s society doesn’t blink an eye when an unmarried woman is pregnant; single-parent homes, especially with only a mother, are prevalent. Judeo-Christian values are paramount to law/order/civilized society; do parents have a personal religious foundation-- if so, are they making certain their children have a religious foundation? The entertainment industry needs to clean up its act and stop the glamorized moral depravity it peddles; if not, responsible adults should boycott movies/motion pictures/television/video games/et-al. It may be time for juveniles committing depraved, violent crimes be tried in adult courts with commensurate adult punishment.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of these parents. No one should have to send their kids to school, not knowing if they will come home alive.

The kids predicted this would happen. Who is really the enabler here? When will someone do a study on mentally ill young men and mass murder?

Aboard USS Carl Vinson, Philippines - U.S. forces are undeterred by China´s military buildup on man-made islands in the South China Sea and will continue patrolling the strategic, disputed waters wherever "international law allows us," said a Navy officer aboard a mammoth U.S. aircraft carrier brimming with F-18 fighter jets. Lt. Cmdr. Troops from South Korea joined their Thai and U.S counterparts on Saturday in an amphibious vehicle landing drill as part of Southeast Asia´s largest multinational military exercise. The 300 soldiers from South Korea who joined 2,000 U.S. Marines and Thai soldiers in eastern Thailand marked the highest numbers participating from the East Asian country since it joined the Cobra Gold exercise in 2010, and comes at a time when tensions are particularly high on the Korean Peninsula. Tensions in the Koreas primarily involve concerns over North Korea´s nuclear capability, which has led to saber-rattling declarations

Two weeks ago we had the TV financial follies, screaming about the sell-off and how the Trump rally was over — despite 13 consecutive months of gains, a record. The bats came out for commentators’ favorite piñata, the president. Then stocks had their best week since 2011, rallying straight back up about 1,700 quick points. San Salvador - Last week, President Trump torpedoed an immigration deal put forward by a bipartisan group of senators. The Senate responded by rejecting his own, harsher plan. By the end of the week, the immigration debate seemed deadlocked between the fate of the Dreamers and the fate of the wall. But one thing is clear: Any plan that purports to make America safer by making it harder for immigrants to obtain legal status and increasing deportations will actually do the opposite. These proposals, embraced by Mr. Trump, are the same decades-old policies that helped transform Mr. Trump’s archenemy, Mara Salvatrucha

The FBI — already facing congressional investigations over its handling of the Russia probe and other political matters — was hit this week with a new batch of inquiries from lawmakers about its failure to act on tips that might have prevented the massacre at a high school in Parkland, Fla. On Friday, the chairs of three powerful congressional committees that oversee the bureau sent letters demanding briefings on the FBI’s misstep, and others lambasted the bureau for its apparent failure. The bureau acknowledged that it received a warning on Jan. 5 that Nikolas Cruz had a desire to kill and might attack a school,
