Newseum: Monument to America’s Most
Disgraced Institution in Talks to Sell

Breitbart Big Journalism, by John Nolte

The Washington D.C.-based Newseum is a massive failure, bleeding red ink and in serious talks to sell out and relocate.Someone actually believed that a massive monument to the most disgraced institution in America — journalism — was a good idea. Then, to the surprise of no one in the real world, that massive monument to left-wing liars and frauds not only failed, it is now talking seriously about selling out and moving elsewhere. The Newseum currently stands seven-stories tall in a pretentious $450 million building right on Pennsylvania Avenue, a stone’s throw from the U.S. Capitol. The only problem is that

Being a local, I´ve been to the various Smithsonian museums more times than I can remember. I´ve been to the Newseum once. It´s not cheap (and the Smithsonians are free), and while there were some interesting exhibits, the layout was confusing.

Been there and found it quite interesting the Dan Rather display looks fake but the guide insists it´s real. I loved seeing the burned out hulk of the Ford Pick Up that NBC exploded. The Matt Lauer exhibit has been put on hold at his lawyer´s request. There is even a short clip of Wolf Blitzer´s amazing showing on Jeopardy! Well, I don´t want to spoil it for you so I will leave it at that.

It was an interesting place when it opened. It chronicled great reporters of the past ... Edward R. Murrow, Walter Winchell, Ernie Pyle, etc....

...But then along came those ´journalist´ with political agendas that corrupted the profession....Dan Rather, Walter Cronkite, Woodard & Bernstein, Peter Jennings, Barbara Walters, Ed Bradley, etc.

The problem museums face is that they cater to people who are interested in history ... which leftist elitist are insistent on destroying. Consequently, the Newseum with current emphasis on the fakenews folks lost the interest of conservatives who love history and failed to connect with liberal leftist who have no interest in history.

The demise of the Newseum is pretty much a mirror image of modern journalism rofessionalism.

I have an idea for a popular gallery that could turn their fortunes around:

A wall of big screen TVs running loops of Rachel Madcow, Chrissy Matthews, Gunga Dan Rather, Anderdaughter Cooper, Joyless Reid, Mouse-face Wallace, et al. Baskets of a dozen overripe tomatoes to throw at the screen for $25 per.

The line will be out the door and around the block.

Went there when it first opened; walked around for 10 minutes and had to leave. It was an organizational mess exhibit-wise.

After many trips to DC and the Smithsonian museums for many years, this was a colossal uninteresting bore. What I liked the most? A quote of the First Amendment on the face of the building.

Children spend more time at school and the government spends more money on education than ever before. Yet, reading ability keeps declining. What has gone wrong?" You have probably heard this lament. But here´s where it becomes really alarming. Blumenfeld looked back seven decades to the year 1915. That´s when the literacy figures for 1910 were published by the U.S. Bureau of Education and quoted in a weekly publication, School and Society, edited

California´s elections officials have found themselves with an unexpected headache ahead of the June 5 primary: potentially thousands of cases where two voter registration forms were created for one person, errors caused by the state´s "motor voter" program that launched last month.
