What´s wrong with Obama´s hand
in that official portrait?

I´m gonna go out on a limb here: I generally like the Obama official portrait. It´s an odd style, but it expresses him and what´s more, it reflects the art of his era. (snip) Here´s the problem: It´s not drawn very well. The work shows a lack of skill in the basic rendering of an image. The hands are out of proportion in size, even placed in the foreground, overly big. One might be able to write that off as intentional. But the front hand itself has problems in construction, at least if the aim is to create a realistic

The artist got is right. a fruit belongs surrounded by leaves.
As to the hand, hands are hard to draw, and as the artist had to be a racist white hating communist the number available was small.
And, yes, the hands had to be made big, because, well you know what they say about big hands.

Notice also the wedding band is really just lighter colored skin under the band. It´s been removed and so we see just the hint of it. It is non existent- Moochie probably had something to do with that.

But, basically, considering the missing arm of the chair, the stupid multi type flowers that do not go with the "ivy" if that is what it is...some say it is kudzu others poison sumac
- the odd composition- His legs are missing, he is out of balance on the so-called chair, You have to arrive at the conclusion, the so-called artist is a rank amature who has really not much awareness of what he was trying to do- like the subject in the painting. A self taught con-artist is what he is.

It looks like he is sitting on the toilet, taking a dump!

Moochie´s painting doesn´t look like her, as others have pointed out, but at least the massive number of yards of dress material covers her thunder thighs! The artist took about 50 pounds off her too.

The King of Kudzu. Monica captures him, the “artist” (used loosely, in which every toddler with a crayon is an artist), and sums most of it up thusly:

The artist shows an embarrassingly weak ability to draw.

A very good article. Monica does a lot of them. In this one she especially knows whereof she speaks. How rare is that in today’s journalism?

Of course it is not politically correct to criticize anything that African-American artists or politicians do or say these days no matter how incredible the result. That’s why the very liberal Hollywood crowd who attended the portrait unveiling jumped up and clapped wildly when the unveiling took place.

Clearly Barack and Michelle Obama selected the two so-called artists, not because they were the best available, but because they are African-Americans seeped in contemporary African-American culture. It is evident, that in the two portraits, the Obamas got what they wanted. It’s just two bad that the American taxpayers had to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for such “art”.

Embarrassing to say the least. Should have had Obama sitting at his desk with his feet propped up on it. That was his usual pose. Michelle ought to make them take hers down and get someone else to do one. This one does not look like her at all and the dress is the main focus. Terrible.

Special counsel Robert Mueller looks likely to face a huge humiliation in court and a massive public relations disaster. And it couldn´t happen to a more deserving guy. Unless a Trump-appointed judge bails him out and grants an exception to federal law, trampling on the rights of the defendants he indicted, Mueller will have to go into court to try a case he doesn´t seem to think he can win – or else face the humiliation of dropping the charges he brought against 13 Russian entities (some of which did not exist at the time of the alleged crime) with

The idea is floated frequently that the still nameless Russian collusion scandal is "worse than Watergate." It may well be, but that comparison overlooks a more useful parallel. The gold standard of government conspiracy remains the investigation into the July 1996 crash of TWA Flight 800 off the south coast of Long Island. The NFL Players’ Association (NFLPA) on Wednesday criticized the league for its new national anthem policy. In a statement, the union said it would review the new policy and “challenge any aspect of it that is inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement.” The union accused the league of contradicting its previous statements, and of ignoring players’ wishes in developing the new policy, which instructs that all team and league personnel should stand for the national anthem. “The NFL chose to not consult the union in the development of this new ‘policy,’” the union said in a statement. “NFL players have

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Tuesday that the FBI was not at any point spying on the Trump campaign. “They were not. They were spying — a term I don´t particularly like — on what the Russians were doing," Clapper said during an appearance on The View to promote his new book, “Facts and Fears: Hard Truths From A Life In Intelligence.” The FBI, Clapper said, was simply trying to answer the question, "Were the Russians infiltrating, trying to gain access, trying to gain leverage and influence?" Bernie Sanders is kicking back in one of his three houses (we’re guessing the big one on Lake Champlain). And the 20-some 2020 presidential wannabes are all jockeying for media attention (and cash, lots of cash). In such a void, that leaves just one person with the spotlight: the bitter, ever-angry, petty, vindictive Hillary Clinton. Mrs. Clinton told the Democratic Women’s Leadership Forum on Friday that she would be a foundational part of the anti-Trump

Democrat Rep. Al Green (D-TX) had harsh words for President Trump late Tuesday, warning that if Democrats retake the House of Representatives in November, they´ll begin the 2019 legislative session with articles of impeachment, even if Trump hasn´t done anything to require it. Speaking to C-Span, Rep. Green suggested that he has the "right and privilege" to impeach the president, even absent evidence that the president has committed "high crimes" or "misdemeanors" by virtue of the U.S. Constitution. "There’s a good likelihood there will be articles of impeachment” brought against the President, Rep. Green said.
