Imagine if a college professor ever said of Barack Obama: “I wouldn’t mind seeing him dead.” It would be the end of the egghead’s career, tenure or no tenure. Instead, consider the case of the ancient Barry Bluestone, a longtime UMass Boston “economist” now passing his dotage at something called, believe it or not, the Kitty and Michael Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy. You can’t make this stuff up. It’s at Northeastern University. They teach you how to pass the time when you’re on a broken-down Green Line train. At 73, Barry Bluestone is a hack’s hack. He

It all started with an old text message. Peter Strzok, a former FBI investigator who played a central role in the Hillary Clinton email scandal and probe into alleged Russian collusion, sent a text to his lover, Lisa Page, an FBI colleague. In the catty text, Strzok ripped Chelsea Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Committee convention in July 2016.“Chelsea was awful. Tried to do Bills up close sharing. Didn’t come across as genuine. Plus, she has a HORRIBLE billv goat speech tic,” Strzok wrote in the text. Strzok is not a fan of Chelsea. A few days before that

Hillary Clinton’s latest rallying cry for women’s activism was disrupted by a coughing fit, recalling her health struggles on the 2016 campaign trail. Clinton spoke for about eight minutes on Wednesday for a live stream video to the 2018 MAKERS Conference, urging women to continue fighting to “keep sexism out of politics.” (Video/Tweet) After complaining about an “all-out assault on core values of democracy,” Clinton promised to soldier on. “I pledge to continue to speak out, I pledge to never give up,” Clinton vows in the video before coughing. Attorney General Jeff Sessions thinks marijuana may be a gateway to prescription opioid and heroin addiction. In fact, a number of academic studies show lower rates of opioid abuse and overdoses in states that have legalized medical marijuana. Speaking at a Heritage Foundation event last night in honor of the late Ronald Reagan´s birthday, Sessions lamented the "permissive rhetoric" and media coverage surrounding marijuana and other drugs. "We don´t think illegal drug use is ´recreation.´ Lax enforcement, permissive rhetoric and the media have undermined the essential need to say no to drug use. Don´t start," Sessions said.
