Here’s Equifax’s list of customer
data ‘accessed’ by hackers

New York Post, by Kevin Dugan

Original Article

Posted By:mc squared, 2/9/2018 10:13:31 AM

The Equifax hack is getting more mysterious. The credit reporting bureau admitted that a far more extensive assortment of data was “accessed” by hackers last year than previously acknowledged — but insisted not all of that info on 145.5 million Americans was actually stolen, according to a Jan. 2 letter it sent to Sen. Elizabeth Warren. The company’s list of “accessed” data, obtained by The Post, includes: Passport numbers Social Security numbers first, last, and middle names and suffixes gender home addresses and phone numbers driver license numbers, including the date the license was issued and the state issuing them

Comments:
A credit reporting company? Maybe they´re one of the cover companies the FBI & CIA use. But we all trust the FBI.

It’s a list of the kinds of information - the “fields” - that could have been hacked, but one - Passports - contained no information.

Now, isn’t that comforting?

Otherwise everything they’d have gotten was extremely critical, very sensitive. Identity theft stuff and heaven knows what else...

The best way to combat data breaches like this is to freeze your credit. It costs $10 to unfreeze it (when you´re getting a loan), but it is worth it for the peace of mind.

I have always been very wary of these credit card companies. In fact, I have never checked my credit rating and have never been turned down when buying an expensive item. Wasn´t one of them severely hacked not long ago? You get a new card, they ding you. You cancel a card, they ding you. Does this make sense?

The last time Equifax said anything, they are now admitting here was a lie. How reassuring that ALL that was stolen was ALL personal ID information, credit card numbers and code number. But Equifax reassures that passport ID information was not stolen. Really? I suspect Equifax will be having a press release soon to admit this is not true as well.

So How Would Mandatory ‘Implicit

Is “implicit bias testing and training” really the right approach to improving race relations in this country — and how does it work, anyway? These were the questions from Fox News host Laura Ingraham that kicked off a lively segment of “The Ingraham Angle” on Wednesday night — with the Starbucks controversy of past month in mind. Derrick Johnson, president and CEO of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), said on Tuesday, “Implicit bias training should be the norm, not just a crisis response strategy,” in a media advisory published by the organization. Several Republican candidates for governor of Oklahoma urged GOP Gov. Mary Fallin Monday to sign legislation allowing adults to carry handguns without a permit amid growing opposition from some of the state´s top law enforcement officials. Oklahoma currently requires a license to carry a handgun openly or concealed and charges handgun license applicants a fee of up to $200. But gun rights supporters, including GOP gubernatorial candidates Gary Richardson and Dan Fisher, a former state representative, said they believe the Second Amendment gives citizens the right to carry firearms without government

She was passing through Georgia on Interstate 75 when she was pulled over for speeding. Nield told CBC that the officer kept telling her ´Canadian licenses are not accepted´ in Georgia.

They paid for RoboCop — but got Bender. The Port Authority is paying thousands of dollars every month renting a security robot to patrol LaGuardia Airport — but the bot is creeping out women while the crooks look on and laugh. “It’s upsetting to have that thing creep up on you,” said one female security guard at the airport, adding that she had just fended it off with a luggage cart. “It’s a pain in the ass. It keeps bothering people.” The airport deployed the R2-D2-esque Knightscope K5 three months ago to roll around outside Terminal B, recording everything with

These Congress members are sleeping on the job — and defending their right to do it. Crying poverty amid decade-long stagnant salaries and Washington’s steep cost of living, an increasing number of House lawmakers have turned into professional squatters at night, hitting the sack in their Capitol Hill offices — on everything from cots in closets to futons stashed behind constituent couches — to save a few bucks during the work week. “Washington is too expensive,” said Rep. Goldberg says if we don’t veer from the cultural glide path we’re on, with both left and right committed to factually misleading and emotionally suppurating narratives about the innate cruelty and inborn injustice of this country, the greatest force for prosperity and freedom the world has ever known is likely to die. In making the decision to commit murder and mayhem abroad while oppressing their own people, the ruling mullahs sealed their fate with President Trump.
