The Latest: House OKs budget

WASHINGTON — The Latest on Congress and spending legislation (all times local): 5:30 a.m. The House has narrowly passed a sweeping bipartisan budget accord, ending an hours-long government shutdown and clearing a path for huge spending increases for both the Pentagon and domestic programs. The 240-186 vote sends the $400 billion spending plan to President Donald Trump, who has promised to sign it. Passage of the measure came over the opposition of Democratic leaders who demanded the promise of a vote to protect “Dreamer” immigrants brought to the country illegally as children. A band of tea party Republicans swung against the legislation as

Will someone please make the argument that the government does not deserve one cent until they can responsibly account for the billions that go missing? We need accountability in the form of meaningful audits of every department. We cannot just pour billions into an arrogant behemoth that clearly cannot be responsible. These bureaucrats must be held accountable to the American people. The waste, fraud and neglect to protect the hard earned dollars they are given is an abomination. Every aspect of spending should be looked at with the intention of making sure that the money is used wisely. I am inscensed that these thieves are allowed to increase spending when they have proven they are not responsible with the funds they have already been given in the past. Should we be rewarding such fiscal irresponsibility? I think not.

Remember if you will, the heady days of 2010-11 when the PEOPLE said "ENOUGH" and the Tea Party movement was formed to repudiate the wild spending and socialism of Nobama.

The RINOcrats are leading us to oblivion.

People worship Mr. Trump as all powerful and all-knowing just like the left did with Nobama.

The MASSIVE repudiation of Nobama came because of the TWO massive infusions of spending and the over reach of BIG Government.

Where are we just a few short year down our mortal coil???

Have we lost our minds, or have the politicians been allowed to make "deals" that sell U.S. out?

EVERYONE KNOWS this debt will NEVER be paid, hoping somehow that the economy will save us yet again, but the old grey mare is about to croak over burdened by its workload because of the ever increasing LOAD it is supposed to carry.

It is unconscionable that we continue to push the can down the road to oblivion in the destruction of our nation to our great grandchilen YET UNBORN.

WE must CUT spending and reign in further government growth where possible or the "last, great hope" will not survive.

Its time to bring back the tea party movement and let the media and the out of touch politicians of BOTH parties BE DAMNED.

Why do they call it a budget? It is nothing like a budget. It´s more like living paycheck to paycheck. What they are doing is exactly what many impoverished people do. Beer and cigarettes are more important than food and shelter. In other words, it isn´t the necessities that are important, but the superfluous.

President Donald Trump slammed the ´fake news media´ for not reporting Facebook ads vice president´s claims that the 13 Russians indicted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller Friday weren´t trying to sway the 2016 election. In a barrage of angry tweets on Saturday afternoon, Trump used Rob Goldman´s words that the goal of the Russian influence operation was to sow fear and hatred in the United States, dividing citizens. Goldman claims that the Russians weren´t actually trying to sway the election, and that was just a consequence of their attempt to polarize American views. Trump signed the resolution in February, rolling back a regulation put in place in the final weeks of the Obama administration placing new restrictions on gun ownership by people with mental illness. In addition to arresting 212 undocumented immigrants, federal agents also served more than 100 notices to local businesses that they will be audited to determine whether they are employing people who are in the country illegally. The raids triggered a demonstration by a small group of immigration advocates chanting ´stop the deportations´ who blocked a Homeland Security van from entering the federal Metropolitan Detention Center. George Soros believes that internet giants such as Facebook and Google have become a ´public menace´ and only the EU has the power to stop them. He says that by influencing the way their users think without them realising it, the companies have made people easy to manipulate, and this ´interferes with the functioning of democracy´, pointing to the election of Donald Trump as an example. While US regulators are not strong enough to tackle the monopoly that Google and Facebook have acquired, Soros argues, the EU is much better placed to do so and has already achieved some success. There has been a sharp rise in the number of sheep and poultry being killed without being stunned first. This has been attributed to religious practices. But Lord Trees, a crossbench peer, said it was highly probable that some unstunned meat was entering the ‘standard’ food chain as well. Writing in the journal Vet Record, he

The Trump administration has settled a transparency lawsuit by agreeing to release visitor logs from some White House agencies – but not those that cover major West Wing areas. Offices on the White House complex that are specifically funded by Congress or are led by Senate-confirmed officials are required to make public records available in response to Freedom Of Information Act requests. But offices that are created by the president and managed internally are not. That includes most of the Executive Office of the President and the top-level officials who work most closely with the president – and the Oval Office itself. The

LONDON - Stocks, bond yields and commodities steamed higher on Thursday while the dollar tumbled, as investors suddenly seemed to forget the inflation fears blamed for a brutal market sell-off in recent weeks. Economists were struggling to explain the turnaround except for the argument that historically it’s not unusual for stocks and bond market borrowing costs to rise in tandem with a rapidly expanding economy. Some just blamed the weather and time of year. They speculated that strong U.S. inflation data on Wednesday that many had predicted could reignite the rout was probably distorted. They also said the looming Chinese New

San Salvador - Last week, President Trump torpedoed an immigration deal put forward by a bipartisan group of senators. The Senate responded by rejecting his own, harsher plan. By the end of the week, the immigration debate seemed deadlocked between the fate of the Dreamers and the fate of the wall. But one thing is clear: Any plan that purports to make America safer by making it harder for immigrants to obtain legal status and increasing deportations will actually do the opposite. These proposals, embraced by Mr. Trump, are the same decades-old policies that helped transform Mr. Trump’s archenemy, Mara Salvatrucha
