George W. Bush Praises Cheap
Labor Immigration: ‘We Ought to
Say Thank You and Welcome Them’

Breitbart Big Government, by John Binder

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 2/8/2018 7:17:01 PM

Former President George W. Bush praised the inflow of illegal and legal immigrants to the United States, saying Americans should “say ‘Thank you´” to migrants and “welcome them.” Addressing a summit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Bush criticized President Trump’s decision to end the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which gave temporary amnesty to nearly 800,000 illegal aliens. (Snip) “There are people willing to do jobs that Americans won’t do,” Bush told his Arab audience. “Americans don’t want to pick cotton at 105 degrees (Fahrenheit), but there are [migrant] people who want put food on

Comments:
It appears that Bush is becoming another Obama by making unnecessary statements while on foreign soil. He sure has changed, and not for the good. Or shall I say, the real George Bush has emerged from out of the shadows. Now it is perfectly clear why meaningful immigration reform that was beneficial to the USA was never accomplished while he was president. He didn´t want it. I´m sick to death of hearing that illegals will do jobs Americans won´t do! Ask the thousands of construction workers who lost their jobs because of illegals how they feel.

Where was your big mouth then, G.W.B when the Constitution was kicked every day? When US laws were only good enough to be broken?
I am so done with both Bushes!

There are two issues - the principal one is how we will choose to handle these immigrants. Reasonable people can disagree about this.

But the other issue is the rule of law. Obama himself said he did not have the authority to change the law, Congress had to do it. Then Obama did it anyway. All Trump has done is revert to the rule of law. He took an oath to uphold the law and is duty bound. If we the people as represented by Congress don´t like the law, then Congress needs to change the law. This is how our system works, apparently W is misremembering his civics classes.

I´ll pick my own cotton, george. Actually, machines do it these days. For those jobs that Americans don´t want to do, is there any reason that people here legally can´t do it? There is no reason that criminals be allowed to stay and take jobs. George and his fellow elites are just worried they won´t get the cheap domestic help they are accustomed to.

I have lost all respect for GW and wish I had never stood up for him. I live in rural Idaho, and we certainly cannot get along without migrant labor but they should be here with a work visa. They should be here to work and not collect multiple benefits, work under the table, and send most of their money back to Mexico. They don´t end up being cheap labor if the taxpayer is paying for them to live here.

There is a way, and it doesn´t have to be illegal.

Democrats want illegal immigration, because when they enable them to gain legal status, then possibly citizenship, they´ve been viewed as helping them gain something, and will then be rewarded with votes.

Just make a system that allows for people to come here LEGALLY, work and return, if they´d like, remove the illegal human trafficking component, and open up the legal immigration quotas where people will be processed in the usual way - this normally takes 10-12 years.

Either you stand for laws that are just, or you don´t. There is nothing wrong with our immigration laws. It is a nation´s prerogative to set the conditions and limits of immigration. If he doesn´t support that, he doesn´t really support the Constitution. Just another disappointment, like Sessions.

Former leader of the right wing of the progressive party. Mediocre (at best) president of no notable accomplishments. Got us into an endless war in the mid-east by overrunning Iraq then sitting back and letting our troops serve as punching bags for various lunatic Islamist fanatics. I guess the best excuse for this is that he was drawing them in to kill them over there rather than over here. Always was an open borders traitor. Best that can be said of him is that the two fools he ran against would almost certainly have been worse.

What Bush and his globalist cronies refuse to admit is that when those illegals become legal, do the Bushies and globalists really think those people will sit still for the cheap labor? I seriously doubt it. If they do get legalized, look for them to immediately leave agriculture and head for the decent paying jobs too.

I suspect this is also about all his globalist Saudi buddies who got purged. All those princes and high officials have been friends of the State Department and the Bushes for decades. The Saudis are even rumored to have foot the bill for some of the less than ethical doings of the State department as well. The whole mess is deeply entwined together and known as the swamp.

I had no problem with him nominating Harriet to the Supreme court. If you check the constitution, being a judge is not even required. When presidents started getting snobby about Ivy League only to the top court, this is when we started having problems with the court.

So what if she didn´t go to one of the Ivy Leagues? They are nothing but a bunch of over educated and brainwashed Leftists in the first place. The dirty little secret about Harriet is that SHE was responsible for picking the Judges that Bush did nominate. Any problems with those guys? Nope.

For eight years the liberal and progressive Democrats worked to make the liberal Republican (compassionate conservative) G.W. Bush a national joke. Now old G.W. is doing it to himself.

Establishment Republicans like G.W. Bush are a big reason that the illegal alien situation is so out of control today. Since about 1965 those Republicans allowed the liberal Democrats to say what the immigration laws would be, and during that time period the Democrats ensured that those laws and regulations were loaded so full of legal loopholes that any illegal aliens who hired an immigration lawyer could be assured that it would be at least 5 years before the immigration courts could deport him or her, even if they were criminal aliens, that is as long as they continued to pay their immigration lawyer who knew how to play all the esoteric loopholes to his or her client´s favor. Over decades the establishment Republicans generally could care less as to how the Democrats liberalized the immigration laws and immigration court procedures, as long as whatever was allowed to happen supplied an unlimited amount of cheap foreign labor, illegal or legal, that could easily be hired by the Republican business interests who financed many of the Republican politicians´ war chests, and their political campaigns.

Clearly the Bush family hates President Trump as the result of Trump´s public humiliation of Jeb Bush in the Republican primaries, as it certainly appears that Jeb was being set up by the establishment Republicans to be a stalking horse candidate for the supposed winner Hillary Clinton in the general election. Because of the "outsider" Trump none of that happened and the Bush clan has not forgot or forgiven.

The largest aspect of Olbermann’s expanded role with ESPN is that he will co-host around 20 “SportsCenter” 11 p.m. shows. Is it unthinkable that the Federal Bureau of Investigation would spy on a presidential campaign for political purposes? I can personally attest that it has happened before—during Barry Goldwater’s 1964 campaign. Every poll agreed that President Lyndon B. But LBJ wanted a landslide so he could implement his Great Society vision without resistance and go down in history as one of America’s greatest presidents. John McCain admits he knew the anti-Trump dossier that he infamously passed to the FBI contained “unproven accusations,” “mostly raw, unverified intelligence” and allegations about which the senator “had no idea” if “any were true.” Yet McCain maintains he had an “obligation” to pass the wild charges against Donald Trump to FBI Director James Comey and he would even do it again. “Anyone who doesn’t like it can go to hell,” McCain exclaimed. In the book The Restless Wave, McCain provides an inside account of how he says he came across

The Capitol Police turned over a trove of evidence in the alleged Imran Awan House cyberbreach and theft case to the defense attorneys when they were supposed to deliver it to prosecutors instead, according to court documents and a source. And hours after The Daily Caller News Foundation asked prosecutors about the disclosure, Awan’s lawyer said he had learned of the forthcoming story from a source on Capitol Hill. TheDCNF had not told anyone other than prosecutors about it. “The cop came to [Awan’s defense attorney] Chris Gowen’s office with a stack of papers … Then he came back and said,

A major GOP donor says he may stop giving money to Republican lawmakers if they refuse to pass a bill providing protections for recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. David MacNeil, who gave President Trump´s inaugural committee more than $1 million, says he´ll cut off funding to any Republican not in favor of a solution for keeping the so-called "Dreamers" in the U.S. “I’m saying this as a political donor who’s donated seven figures in the last couple of years: I will not donate any more money to anyone who doesn’t support DACA, period,” MacNeil told Politico. “I’m

Special counsel Robert Mueller is reportedly investigating Roger Stone’s finances as part of the probe into alleged collusion between Trump campaign associates and Russia. CNN reported Thursday that investigators have asked associates of Stone, an informal adviser to Trump´s 2016 campaign, about his finances, including Stone´s tax returns. Stone told CNN that investigators were apparently "combing through" his personal life, including business affairs, but claimed it was because they lacked evidence of collusion. "The special counsel having found no evidence or proof whatsoever of Russian collusion, trafficking in allegedly hacked emails with WikiLeaks or advance knowledge of the publication of

Hillary Clinton continued to attack the Electoral College system used to elect U.S. presidents on Friday, calling it an "odd system" and contrary to the idea of "one person, one vote." "I know this is another really obvious thing to say. Vote in every election, not just presidential elections," Clinton said at Harvard University, in a clip flagged by NTK Network. "You know, it is maddening because one of the panelists said we get the government that we vote for. Now, we have this odd system with the Electoral College." Clinton defeated Donald Trump in the popular vote by nearly three million

On Friday, Hillary Clinton stepped out into the sweltering Boston, MA heat in a heavy coat and scarf. According to various weather reports, it reached nearly 90 degrees in Boston on Friday. Hillary Clinton received the Radcliffe Award at Harvard on Friday. The twice-failed presidential hopeful told the audience she would be the CEO of Facebook given the chance “because it’s the biggest news platform in the world.” Odd… The Attorney General of Massachusetts, Maura Healey posted the photo of Hillary in the sweltering heat. Now that we are heading into the summer months, it is obvious Hillary is hiding something

President Barack Obama took a light swing at his successor during a tech conference in Las Vegas on Wednesday. His eight years in office were scandal free, he told the audience. "I didn´t have scandals, which seems like it shouldn´t be something you brag about," Obama joked. President Donald Trump’s presidency has thus far been racked with scandalous allegations, but Obama later hedged his barb. "But actually,” he said, “if you look at the history of the modern presidency, coming out of the modern presidency without anybody going to jail is really good. It´s a big deal." The reason his

Until 1968, Walter Cronkite believed what his government told him about the Vietnam War. He was an old-school journalist, a patriot, a man who came of age covering World War II as a wire-service reporter and then taking over as the anchor of “The CBS Evening News” at the height of the Cold War. Like most journalists of his generation, he embraced the fight against communism and understood why the United States had intervened in the war raging in Vietnam. When he’d visited Vietnam on a reporting trip early in the war, he’d been annoyed by the attitude of the young

While speaking to a tech conference this week in Las Vegas President Obamarepeated a claim he and many members of the media have made since his presidency came to an end. “I didn’t have scandals, which seems like it shouldn’t be something you brag about,” Obama said. “But actually,” he said, “if you look at the history of the modern presidency, coming out of the modern presidency without anybody going to jail is really good. It’s a big deal.” The notion is obviously absurd on the face of it, for anyone who paid unbiased attention over the eight years of

Starbucks is closing more than 8,000 of its coffee shops across the US on Sunday for a four-hour, anti-bias training session – almost two months since an employee at a Philadelphia location called the police on two black men accused of trespassing as they waited, without making a purchase, to be joined for a meeting. Since the incident, which sparked protests and threats of a boycott against a chain known for actively promoting a diverse workforce and taking liberal stands on issues such as same-sex marriage, senior executives have repeatedly apologized. The company reached a settlement with Donte Robinson and

Florida-based supermarket chain Publix announced Friday that corporate-backed political contributions will be suspended “as we reevaluate our giving processes” – an announcement that came shortly before Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg’s “die-in” protest. In response to the revelation earlier this month that Publix donated $670,000 to Florida GOP gubernatorial candidate Adam Putnam, Hogg organized the “die-in” protest to occur at a Publix in Coral Springs on Friday where participants were instructed to lie down in the store for 12 minutes. Shortly before the protest was set to begin at 4 p.m., Publix issued a statement regarding the suspension of corporate-funded

Far-left Parkland activists threw themselves on the floor of a Florida grocery store on Friday, screaming and yelling for customers to boycott the store because of political donations that it had made. The "die-in" was organized by far-left activist and provocateur David Hogg, who has launched multiple boycotts aimed at those who support the NRA or who criticize him. (Snip) CBS News reported that Publix caved to the leftist pressure and intimidation tactics, announcing that they have decided to "suspend corporate-funded political contributions as we reevaluate our giving processes." Keith Olbermann is expanding his role at ESPN — but it was nearly even bigger. The largest aspect of Olbermann’s expanded role with ESPN is that he will co-host around 20 “SportsCenter” 11 p.m. shows. Olbermann’s rise to national prominence came when he and his partner, Dan Patrick, hosted the program they dubbed “The Big Show.” Sources said ESPN considered offering Olbermann the full-time 6 p.m. “SportsCenter” show, but ultimately decided against it for a variety of reasons, including logistics, as the show will continue in Bristol and Olbermann lives in New York. The 6 p.m. show ultimately went to
