Tucker Reveals How Google Spies On

In the investigation, Fox News’ Brett Larson travels around Washington, D.C. with two cellphones in his pocket, one of them on airplane mode. Neither of the phones have SIM cards or Wifi connections. The phones tracked Larson’s locations as he traveled, getting such information as when he got out of the car thanks to a time log that records your movements down to the second. Even the phone in airplane mode recorded Larson’s movements. “When you’re using a free online service, you’re probably not the customer, you’re actually the product,” he said. This is the second exclusive report from “Tucker

Comments:
This story was beyond disturbing. What is even more disturbing is that millions and millions of people don´t even seem to care what Google is doing with the information from their phones. What I could not understand, and maybe some LDotter who is well versed in the tech field could explain, how on earth can they still track you if the SIM card has been removed and they were not Wifi connected. That was not l explained in that piece. I didn´t think you could be tracked without a SIM card.

Contd. The segment did the night before was even more disturbing related to patents filed by Google. If you didn´t see it the link is below. Google imagined how it could take control of your parenting by watching your child. That is one of the most horrifying things I have ever heard. You know full well that some morons would think that´s just wonderful considering what we have seen from parents these days. IT is getting out of control and it´s never been more obvious.

This is why my cell phone is off most of the time, and frequently left at home.

Not earthshaking news.
It is a good feature, though. If I go to a McDonalds, my phone tells me I´m actually at McDonalds, not somewhere else.

I do not have a smart phone. Never wanted one will never get one. I have an oldie but a goodie. I can make calls and send and receive a text. It doesn´t even take pictures. Am I still be "watched" by someone unknown?

This being so, why do the police, when trying to track the movements of a suspect in a crime, check the phone towers? Seems you could nail him/her with Google´s tracking, because if I am to believe the true crime stories, most people up to no good, still take their phone with them.

There is a difference between what Google can do and what it actually does. People who actually are worried about Google, Verizon, Russians, Martians, or Sharks spying on them probably should resort to more old fashioned methods of communication such as snail mail.

#7, If you have any phone using the Android OS, which is all Samsung and a lot of others, nearly anything but iPhones, you are a Google user, unfortunately. It has nothing to do with the carrier, it is the phone OS itself.

No kind of fan of Apple, I hate their "our way is the very best way and no other ways will be tolerated" fascist approach, and Google is a bunch of commies.....not a great set of choices. So, I have a Samsung phone with wifi and location turned off and no Google Play store account. Seems the least worst choice.

Like #4, I have just a simple phone (my eyes would be too bad for a smart phone anyway). When someone asks for my cell phone #, I tell them I keep the ringer off & check it every week or so, when I charge it, to see if anyone called. They don´t want the # then, though I´d not give it to them anyway. I do turn the ringer on when I´m expecting an important call - picking someone up at the airport to find out where they are, or when the dog is at the groomers. I don´t let the groomer put the cell# in their computer - just hand written on the call sheet. I could tell on that sheet if they had the cell# in their computer & would make them remove it.

If they have the technology they will use it - and abuse it. This goes for private companies all the way up to the NSA. No laws will stop it. If you don´t care to be tracked, leave the phone at home. ALL cell phones communicate with the tower and can give approximate location information, which could easily be translated as directional information for use in triangulation. Getting down to the precise location requires GPS, which could easily be made independent of the SIM card. Just wait until the chips embedded in your body become commonplace and you are advised that you must have one for medical reasons. You will look like PacMan on their maps. If you must have a smart phone, keep it at home and use WalMart burn phones while out and about. But don´t take my word for it, WalMart has your ID and may be controlled by now as well.

For #14, the only way to insure your phone isn´t communicating with our overlords, even when turned off, is to use a phone with a removable battery. Simply take it out when you don´t want to be tracked. I think tracking is the reason iPhones and many others have batteries that are not easy to remove.

Your new car is spying on you, too. Your car is recording your driving behavior: seatbelt use, accelerator and brake use. The information can and will be used against you in a crash. It´s disclosed in our new Volvo manual.

As far as google goes, I did not download the "art face

The GPS and SIM card are not connected. The GPS receiver is installed on the main board in the phone.
Even if you have location services turned off, the GPS is still active. It is done that way so if you dial 911 your current coordinates are sent to the dispatcher.
Most smart phones, and even some of the older phones allow you to use the phone to call 911 even if it has no SIM card, or if the phone is locked.
Just or everyone´s information, if you take a picture with your phone, it has the coordinates of the exact location embedded in the picture file.
Never try to take a photo to prove you were somewhere where you were not. You can hack that out if need be. If you are vacationing in Tahiti and take a snapshot and publish it ANYWHERE on the Internet where it can be seen, someone could look at the time and date stamp of the picture, and the coordinates to see that you are not home.

This strikes me as really pushing for any excuse to attack Trump for any reason whatsoever. CNN has a whole story devoted to shaming Trump for calling the Parkland shooter a “sicko” on the grounds that it’s stigmatizing to people with mental health problems who aren’t all mass shooters of children. From CNN: (Snip) And although Trump has said he wants to focus on mental health to stop school shootings, calling Cruz a “sicko” doesn’t help, those experts claim… “When it comes to mental health, language really matters.
