Illegal aliens threaten to leave if
Congress doesn´t pass a DACA law

Those ingrates in Congress had better behave -- or Alex and Daniela Velez are going to leave the United States.Folks, I hope it does not get any loonier than this. People who should not be in the country are threatening to leave if we don´t let them stay in the country. As threats go, that is like being banned from Iran. Oh, how will America fill its need for entitled, self-righteous twentysomethings. Thank goodness the Kennedy Clan keeps procreating. "Alexa and Daniela Velez have come to peace with the difficult choice they will need to make if Congress doesn´t reach a deal for those covered

The "Truth" is this: Our open border is the greatest foreign aid package ever. And now, one hopes, it has run its course. The children, the so-called "Dreamers" hava an opportunity to take their education and likely bi-lingual skills back to their home countries to improve the lot of their legitimate countrymen in ways no remittances can. They have a historic opportunity to make that difference they claim to dream about...if they will go home. In addition, if they indeed love the United States, and they should for all it has done for them (rather than to them), it will increase the ability of these countries to build and develop themselves. Returning is hardly a bad thing given the right perspective.

Whenever people announce that they are going on a hunger strike, I say let them.

They are only hurting themselves.

This is exactly the same thing.

This sounds like even more reasons not to pass a DACA law, and to actually enforce the immigration laws on the books (that would require these "dreamers" to be deported).

They are welcome to go back to the lands of their births and apply for legal immigration. If they are all such outstanding people -- educated, hard working, professional, law abiding (other than that pesky being here illegally) -- they should have no problem getting a merit-based green card. Then they can apply for citizenship through LEGAL channels.

What a concept!!!

Liberal news media used to treat agencies like the FBI and CIA that guarded government secrets with deep skepticism. Think The New York Times and the Pentagon Papers, or The Washington Post and Watergate. That was then. Now the same crowd is bending over backward to treat those agencies as the bulwarks of our democracy, their every move above suspicion. And painting President Trump, who’s only asking for transparency on the FBI’s investigation of his campaign, as a threat to the Republic and its democratic institutions. The FBI has repeatedly provided grossly inflated statistics to Congress and the public about the extent of problems posed by encrypted cellphones, claiming investigators were locked out of nearly 7,800 devices connected to crimes last year when the correct number was much smaller, probably between 1,000 and 2,000, The Washington Post has learned. Over a period of seven months, FBI Director Christopher A. Multiple media sources have now confirmed that American academic Stefan Halper is the “top secret” informant the FBI asked to sidle up to Trump campaign officials in 2016. Some questions follow: Who asked Mr. Halper to keep tabs on the Trump officials, and when and why? The answers go to the credibility of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s claim that it didn’t open an official counterintelligence probe into Trump-Russia collusion until July 31, 2016. The answers might also show if Obama Administration officials knew about this mission, or if political actors working for the Clinton campaign such as Fusion GPS played

Darryl Clinton was struck by a piece of rock and lava as he was on the third-floor balcony of a home he was protecting in the Puna district, where open fissures and lava flows have destroyed more than two dozen homes in an eruptive period that began more than two weeks ago. One would almost think the steady narrative of a blue wave is an attempt at psychological warfare by the mainstream media and the Left in hopes of depressing Republican donors and voters into thinking the outcome is a foregone conclusion. Former FBI Director James Comey defended the FBI’s use of confidential sources Wednesday following a series of tweets from President Trump about “spygate.” He also warned that attacks on and lies about the bureau and its work will cause “lasting damage” to the country. “Facts matter. The FBI’s use of Confidential Human Sources (the actual term) is tightly regulated and essential to protecting the country. Attacks on the FBI and lying about its work will do lasting damage to our country. How will Republicans explain this to their grandchildren?” Comey tweeted. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer fumed Tuesday over the Trump administration´s "outrageous" decision to exclude Democrats from an upcoming meeting in which Justice Department officials will give House Republicans documents related to the FBI´s investigation into potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Republican lawmakers had been demanding DOJ release the classified documents for months. “The only thing more outrageous than this meeting occurring at all is the fact that it’s now partisan,” the New York Democrat said. “It is crystal clear that Chairman Nunes’ intent is to interfere with the investigation, and Speaker Ryan is allowing it to

Former Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday urged Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI officials to "simply say no" to President Trump´s demand for an expanded investigation into his claims of FBI wrongdoing as it relates to his campaign. "More DOJ norms being eroded. Trump-a SUBJECT of the investigation-wants access to material related to the inquiry," Holder tweeted. (Snip) His latest criticism of the president came as Trump and his allies have claimed, without evidence, that an FBI informant spied on his campaign for political purposes. On Sunday, Trump said he would demand the DOJ investigate the matter.

Saturday was Jacob Kosinski´s big day. His whole family, many from out of town, saw the Charleston, South Carolina, student graduate from his Christian-based homeschool program with a 4.79 grade point average and the coveted honor of summa cum laude. His mother, Cara Koscinski organized a graduation party for her 18-year-old son. For the occasion, she ordered a cake online from her nearest grocery store, Publix, which lets customers build their own cakes complete with a customized inscription, which they enter into a little message box. Carefully, she typed in the message she wanted on the cake: "Congrats Jacob!

NFL club owners are considering potential 15-yard penalties for kneeling during the national anthem among ways of coping with a backlash over player protests, Sports Illustrated reported Tuesday. According to a story on the magazine´s website, owners set aside three hours to talk about the anthem issue, which President Donald Trump elevated into a major controversy last year. Ideas to handle players kneeling during the anthem included allowing home teams to decide if players should be out of the locker room during the pre-game playing of The Star-Spangled Banner or not.If players are on the sideline, then 15-yard

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Tuesday that the FBI was not at any point spying on the Trump campaign. “They were not. They were spying — a term I don´t particularly like — on what the Russians were doing," Clapper said during an appearance on The View to promote his new book, “Facts and Fears: Hard Truths From A Life In Intelligence.” The FBI, Clapper said, was simply trying to answer the question, "Were the Russians infiltrating, trying to gain access, trying to gain leverage and influence?" Clapper´s comments came shortly after the Justice Department, under pressure

The Democratic Party has no leader right now. No one. Former President Barack Obama is palling around with his billionaire, island-owning buddies. Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders is kicking back in one of his three houses (we’re guessing the big one on Lake Champlain). And the 20-some 2020 presidential wannabes are all jockeying for media attention (and cash, lots of cash). In such a void, that leaves just one person with the spotlight: the bitter, ever-angry, petty, vindictive Hillary Clinton. Mrs. Clinton told the Democratic Women’s Leadership Forum on Friday that she would be a foundational part of the anti-Trump

The Boy Scouts will reportedly provide condoms at the upcoming World Scout Jamboree. The World Organization of Scouting Movement handbook requires the host organization to “ensure that condoms are readily and easily accessible for all participants and [International Service Team staff] at a number of locations on the site.” The 2019 World Scout Jamboree will be held in West Virginia from July 21 to Aug. 1. The theme is “Unlock a New World.” The World Jamboree is an official World Organization of the Scout Movement event. The Boy Scouts are co-hosting this year’s program with two other scouting organizations, Scouts

It happens every 405,000 years. The Earth’s orbit gradually changes shape from almost circular to slightly elliptical over a period of 202,500 years, and then starts returning to form over the next 202,500 years — like a metronome swinging side to side. Right now, we are in an almost perfectly circular orbit around the sun, and soon — within some thousands of years, that is — we will start moving toward the elliptical. This happens because of the Earth’s gravitational interactions with other planets, especially Jupiter and Venus — Jupiter because it is very large, and Venus because it is very near.
