Illegal aliens threaten to leave if
Congress doesn´t pass a DACA law

Those ingrates in Congress had better behave -- or Alex and Daniela Velez are going to leave the United States.Folks, I hope it does not get any loonier than this. People who should not be in the country are threatening to leave if we don´t let them stay in the country. As threats go, that is like being banned from Iran. Oh, how will America fill its need for entitled, self-righteous twentysomethings. Thank goodness the Kennedy Clan keeps procreating. "Alexa and Daniela Velez have come to peace with the difficult choice they will need to make if Congress doesn´t reach a deal for those covered

The "Truth" is this: Our open border is the greatest foreign aid package ever. And now, one hopes, it has run its course. The children, the so-called "Dreamers" hava an opportunity to take their education and likely bi-lingual skills back to their home countries to improve the lot of their legitimate countrymen in ways no remittances can. They have a historic opportunity to make that difference they claim to dream about...if they will go home. In addition, if they indeed love the United States, and they should for all it has done for them (rather than to them), it will increase the ability of these countries to build and develop themselves. Returning is hardly a bad thing given the right perspective.

I suppose it is because they are infected with the entitlement syndrome.

Whenever people announce that they are going on a hunger strike, I say let them.

They are only hurting themselves.

This is exactly the same thing.

This sounds like even more reasons not to pass a DACA law, and to actually enforce the immigration laws on the books (that would require these "dreamers" to be deported).

They are welcome to go back to the lands of their births and apply for legal immigration. If they are all such outstanding people -- educated, hard working, professional, law abiding (other than that pesky being here illegally) -- they should have no problem getting a merit-based green card. Then they can apply for citizenship through LEGAL channels.

What a concept!!!

CTH has intentionally stayed away from discussion of the Parkland school shooting as we watched and reviewed the response. However, it’s time to call the Broward School Board officials to task and simultaneously prepare the class-action lawyers to cripple the system. Broward County schools intentionally created polices from 2010 through 2016 that culminated in the 2018 mass school shooting in Parkland. We know this with great specificity because five years ago we warned Broward County Florida school board members this could happen. In 2012 and 2013 while doing research into the Trayvon Martin shooting we discovered an alarming set of school

A 17-year-old Texas girl was arrested last week after authorities say she planned for a friend to be robbed and then pretended to be a victim during his carjacking. Deputies were called around 11:30 p.m. Friday after 20-year-old Preston Barry reported that he and friend Susan Mize, 17, had been robbed at gunpoint in Montgomery County. Barry told deputies that Mize had told him he could make $150 by driving some of her friends to Houston. The two then drove to a park and picked up a 16-year-old boy. NAFTA is as precarious as a slow-spinning plate on a stick. Mexico and Canada are both taking half-hearted turns recharging the momentum – while simultaneously looking for trade options due to, well,.. the inevitable. The basic issue is a simple one; for the U.S. NAFTA has a fatal flaw. Canada and Mexico are used by China and Asian nations as a way to work-around direct trade with the U.S. and use NAFTA as a backdoor into the U.S. market. It works out great for Canada and Mexico, but terrible for the U.S. It’s a structural issue and no amount of negotiation

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence said she is taking a year-long break from acting to focus on activism and helping to “fix our democracy.” The Hollywood A-lister revealed her grand future plans on Thursday while promoting her new movie “Red Sparrow.” “I’m going to take the next year off,” Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m going to be working with this organization I’m a part of: Represent. Us. It’s just trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level.”

Students are in the middle of a lie-in protest outside the White House over gun laws just days after 17 people were killed in the Florida high school shooting massacre. Groups of students from Washington DC staged the protest on Monday on a road leading to the White House. They took turns lying on the road for three minutes - the same amount of time 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz went on a firing spree at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last week. Other students stood by holding signs that read ´Am I next?´ and ´Is Congress or the NRA making our

And now, ladies and gentlemen, for your viewing pleasure, the first rendition of the national anthem at a major sporting event that would be more appropriate for some steamy scene from a movie than honoring those who have fought for the United States of America. Here is Fergie singing the anthem at the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday. Viewer discretion advised: (Video) Reaction varied from hilarity at Fergie’s screeching to jokes about how she was attempting to make Francis Scott Key into a composer of a song more appropriate for the bedroom to simple outrage that Fergie would dishonor the

An activist group has launched a voter registration effort aimed at black voters at screenings of the “Black Panther” movie nationwide. Members of the Electoral Justice Project, an offshoot of the Movement for Black Lives, are seeking to motivate black voters and increase political engagement with the #WakandaTheVote campaign, the website Blavity reported. Wakanda is the fictional African nation featured in the long-anticipated Marvel film “Black Panther.” Kayla Reed, Jessica Byrd and Rukia Lumumba founded the Electoral Justice Project last year, and told Blavity that the movement has been effective “because we meet our communities where they are, whether that´s

Former New York Times Executive Editor Jill Abramson served only three years in that role; she was reportedly fired in 2014 for an ill-founded complaint about her compensation and for her "brusque" workplace manner. Her editorial competence was not questioned, however. In the era of #MeToo equalizing the perpetrators of rape with those of inadvertent microaggressions, perhaps no one remains in elite New York media qualified to make such a judgment, anyway. This week, Abramson´s reputation seemingly landed her a 4,000-word New York magazine cover story, which resurrects the sexual harassment complaints against Justice Clarence Thomas:

He has no idea how to make a majority of voters choose him. Mitt’s back. The former governor of Massachusetts and occasional native son of Michigan has a new persona: Mr. Utah. He’s going to bring Utah conservatism to the whole Republican party and to the country at large. Wholesome, efficient, industrious, faithful. “Utah has a lot to teach the politicians in Washington,” he says in announcing his Senate campaign. Maybe. There’s always been something unstable about Mitt Romney’s political identity.

The corner of Atlantic and Bedford Avenues in Crown Heights is Ground Zero of this middle-income neighborhood’s high anxiety. For the last two years, neighbors have complained to anyone who will listen that groups of men become an occupying force in the sidewalks around the huge 350-bed Atlantic Armory Men’s Shelter. On several recent mornings, the men were out en masse. Two Department of Homeless Services police officers leaned against the fence outside the 800-bed red-brick shelter. About 50 feet away a man nonchalantly urinated against the facility wall. Across Pacific St., men were sprawled on chairs and milk crates.

DALLAS, Texas-A leader in Dallas politics does not want the National Rifle Association to meet in his city. Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway is urging the NRA to find a new home for its annual convention. He says the meeting is not appropriate in Dallas in the wake of last week´s school shooting in Florida. Caraway also points to the past tragedies in Dallas, including the 2016 ambush that killed five Dallas officers, and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. "It is a tough call when you ask the NRA to reconsider coming to Dallas. But it is putting

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s indictment Friday of a Russian “troll farm” and 13 foreign nationals leaves little doubt Russia was working to undermine US democracy. But the filing also knocks the teeth out of the “collusion” claim. That is, the charges are a strong sign that there’s nothing to Democrats’ charge that Team Trump worked with Russia to steal the 2016 election. Mueller confirms that the trolling entity, the Internet Research Agency, used fake accounts on Facebook and Twitter to spread disinformation, sway public opinion and promote rallies. The “strategic goal” was “to sow discord in the US political system.” Indeed, IRA began

GOP Utah Senate candidate Mitt Romney is changing his tune on President Donald Trump from where he was one year ago. Trump endorsed Romney late Monday evening, giving the former failed presidential candidate “full support and endorsement.” Romney responded almost immediately, thanking the president for his kind words and for backing him the upcoming election. “Thank you Mr. President for the support. I hope that over the course of the campaign I also earn the support and endorsement of the people of Utah,” Romney tweeted late Monday evening. Romney’s statement Monday is strikingly different from ones he has previously made
