Illegal aliens threaten to leave if
Congress doesn´t pass a DACA law

Those ingrates in Congress had better behave -- or Alex and Daniela Velez are going to leave the United States.Folks, I hope it does not get any loonier than this. People who should not be in the country are threatening to leave if we don´t let them stay in the country. As threats go, that is like being banned from Iran. Oh, how will America fill its need for entitled, self-righteous twentysomethings. Thank goodness the Kennedy Clan keeps procreating. "Alexa and Daniela Velez have come to peace with the difficult choice they will need to make if Congress doesn´t reach a deal for those covered

The "Truth" is this: Our open border is the greatest foreign aid package ever. And now, one hopes, it has run its course. The children, the so-called "Dreamers" hava an opportunity to take their education and likely bi-lingual skills back to their home countries to improve the lot of their legitimate countrymen in ways no remittances can. They have a historic opportunity to make that difference they claim to dream about...if they will go home. In addition, if they indeed love the United States, and they should for all it has done for them (rather than to them), it will increase the ability of these countries to build and develop themselves. Returning is hardly a bad thing given the right perspective.

Whenever people announce that they are going on a hunger strike, I say let them.

They are only hurting themselves.

This is exactly the same thing.

This sounds like even more reasons not to pass a DACA law, and to actually enforce the immigration laws on the books (that would require these "dreamers" to be deported).

They are welcome to go back to the lands of their births and apply for legal immigration. If they are all such outstanding people -- educated, hard working, professional, law abiding (other than that pesky being here illegally) -- they should have no problem getting a merit-based green card. Then they can apply for citizenship through LEGAL channels.

What a concept!!!

PARKLAND, Fla. — A Florida social services agency conducted an in-home investigation of Nikolas Cruz after he exhibited troubling behavior nearly a year and a half before he shot and killed 17 people at his former high school in Florida, a state report shows. The agency, the Florida Department of Children and Families, had been alerted to posts on Snapchat of Mr. Cruz cutting his arms and expressing interest in buying a gun, according to the report. But after visiting and questioning Mr. Cruz at his home, the department determined he was at low risk of harming himself or others.

People are asking why didn´t the FBI follow up on the tips about the gunman who went on to kill 17 people at a high school in Florida? That´s the wrong question. We should ask: why didn´t the tipsters report their suspicions to the local police or sheriff´s office? Don´t get me wrong. The FBI screwed up. But after the review and congressional hearings, the politicians will scapegoat the director -- and decide the FBI needs more manpower. Thus, Congress will reward failure, and we will wind up with more failure. The solution is to not expand the federal police but rather to have the

Hugh Hefner, Playboy’s publisher, threw a pool party for the show’s contestants with dozens of current and former Playmates, including Karen McDougal, a slim brunette who had been named Playmate of the Year, eight years earlier. In 2001, the magazine’s readers voted her runner-up for “Playmate of the ’90s,” behind Pamela Anderson. At the time of the party, Trump had been married to the Slovenian model Melania Knauss for less than two years; their son, Barron, was a few

Pyeongchang - The moment, when it happened, felt routine to American slopestyle skier Gus Kenworthy, who along with figure skater Adam Rippon is the only openly gay male Winter Olympian to ever compete for the United States. Matthew Wilkas, Kenworthy’s boyfriend, gave Kenworthy a good-luck kiss before a qualifying run on Sunday in South Korea. “That was like a peck,” Wilkas, who wore a “USGay” t-shirt to the event, tells TIME afterwards from the bottom of the slopestyle course at the Phoenix Snow Park. “We should have made out in front of people.” Kenworthy didn’t know the TV cameras caught

Reporter-model Becky Griffin took to Twitter on Thursday and responded to Wednesday’s mass shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida by insinuating that alleged shooter Nikolas Cruz wouldn’t have carried out mass murder if his mother had aborted him instead of putting him up for adoption. “Woman puts baby up for adoption, he grows up to be a violent young man who will spend the rest of his life in prison for a mass murder. Tell me more about how abortions are wrong,” Griffin wrote, in a tweet that went viral on Thursday, adding the hashtags

Adam Rippon, the openly gay figure skater who helped the United States win a bronze medal in team competition and became one of the biggest breakout stars of the PyeongChang Olympics, has gotten his first big break before the Winter Games have even concluded. Rippon, a darling of the competition for saying things that have been at turns smart, creative, and refreshing for viewers, has been hired by NBC as a correspondent for the rest of the Games. NBC confirmed the news, first reported by USA Today, with Rippon expected to work on TV as well as the digital and

Lindsey Vonn didn´t have to make any excuses for her sixth-place finish in Saturday´s super-G at the 2018 Winter Olympics. TV analysts, newspaper writers, Twitter users and fans were already making them for her: Since Vonn happened to be the first skier out of the gate, she was at a tremendous disadvantage, one that proved fatal when she slipped near the end of the course, costing her precious time that would have easily won her gold. (Snip) But then Vonn went on NBC and complained about it herself. She transformed from a sympathetic figure to a poor loser in a

"For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind." Hosea 7:8 It was after a school shooting near Spokane last September that Spokane Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich addressed a clutch of reporters: When I was in high school, every one of those rigs in the high school parking lot had a gun in the gun rack. Why? We went hunting on the way home. None of those guns ever walked into a school, none of those guns ever shot anybody... Did the gun change or did you as a society change?

Around two dozen Carnival Cruise Line passengers were removed from the Carnival Legend on Friday following a violent brawl that one onlooker described as a “bloodbath.” The Carnival Legend was scheduled to dock in Melbourne on Saturday following a 10-day trip through the South Pacific, but was forced to make an unscheduled stop in Eden, New South Wales, where police unloaded the unruly passengers, 9 News Australia is reporting. Witnesses say the fight broke out very early on Friday morning between a large extended family, guests and staff members, and grew to the point where fellow passengers were “truly scared for [their]

Mitt Romney said Friday that the nation must act swiftly to address the scourge of gun violence, stating that he was open to tougher measures like "enhanced background checks" if they would help keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. "What happened is unthinkable and unimaginable," he said after offering prayers for the victims of the Florida shooting. "We must take action to prevent tragedies like this from happening again." Speaking at a fundraising dinner held by Utah County Republicans in his first official appearance as a U.S. Senate candidate, Romney said he hoped to see the state generate

San Salvador - Last week, President Trump torpedoed an immigration deal put forward by a bipartisan group of senators. The Senate responded by rejecting his own, harsher plan. By the end of the week, the immigration debate seemed deadlocked between the fate of the Dreamers and the fate of the wall. But one thing is clear: Any plan that purports to make America safer by making it harder for immigrants to obtain legal status and increasing deportations will actually do the opposite. These proposals, embraced by Mr. Trump, are the same decades-old policies that helped transform Mr. Trump’s archenemy, Mara Salvatrucha

Now that the gun control advocates have had their fifteen minutes of fame, let’s start focusing on the real issues impacting the rise in school shootings since that infamous day in Columbine in 1999. Issue number one that no one in the mainstream media or government wants to acknowledge: fatherlessness. Specifically, the impact of fatherlessness on the boys who grew up to become school shooters. Dr. Warren Farrell, author of the new book The Boy Crisis, explains: Minimal or no father involvement, whether due to divorce, death, or imprisonment, is common to Adam Lanza, Elliott Rodgers, Dylan Roof and Stephen Paddock.
