Do not say I love Israel BUT
Arutz Sheva [Israel], by Jack Engelhard

Original Article

Most of the letters I get from my columns or books are pretty all right…but I also get them asking why I remain such a stickler for America, Israel and Trump. Why am I so “one-sided” and why can’t I see the “other side” once in a while? Mainly, I have to say, at this point in our culture, so fractured, so over-heated, so mean-spirited, there is no choice but to pick your side and stick to it without qualms.…no dithering. Dithering is for philosophers. Writing about the events of the day – as a columnist -- demands a clear decisive point of

Thank you Jack.
I attended a republican caucus last night, some of the candidates looking for endorsement might as well be democrats. Disappointed.

This guy Engelhard is spot on! I couldn’t agree with him more. Bipartisan means compromising with things you don’t believe in. It means caving to the left. No thank you, I’ll not change just to get along with the ignorant uninformed jerks on the left.

Excellent! Finally, someone articulates the benefits of an all-or-nothing, black-and-white set of convictions, instead of wishy-washy middle-of-the-road positioning.

Compromise may sound sophisticated and may work in business, politics and the law, but not in worldviews and personal choices.

So much for shades of grey and good riddance.

"That’s pretty much it these days – in or out. There is no middle."

Short and brilliant article. we are not alone in our thinking that the left has gone nuts and there is no obligation to compromise or "reach across the aisle." Stay the course.

There was an article a few days ago (dont remember where I saw it) that said as soon as anyone prefaces a statement with "but" like that, it erases the entire statement.
For instance, we had a poster here some years ago who prefaced gun threads with "I support the second amendment BUT"... Then it was followed by a statement that was antithetical to the second amendment.
Beware of the buts.

That´s wonderful. As might be said in Miami´s Little Havana, "Chu got it, mang."

There was a depressing familiarity both to Hamas’s suicide protest operation along Gaza’s border with Israel this week and to Israel’s response to it. Hamas’s jihadist regime in Gaza doesn’t have a lot of cards to play in its continuous war against the Jewish state. But, as we have been seeing since Hamas launched its campaign against the border six weeks ago, it does have one card, and no matter how often it plays that card, Israel can’t seem to figure out how to beat it. Hamas’s card is Western hostility to Israel. The Western media, along with the EU and most
