Meghan McCain says Trump won´t attack
her father again, criticizes Ivanka Trump

CBS News, by Emily Tillett

Original Article

Meghan McCain, a political pundit and the daughter of Arizona Sen. John McCain, says she doesn´t expect President Trump to criticize her father´s war service any time soon. McCain made the comments on Politico´s "Women Rule" podcast, where she detailed a phone conversation with the president that touched on his criticisms of her father. "[Mr. Trump] actually reached out to me and we had a very nice conversation and I feel comfortable going forward if he would say or do anything in the realm of talking about my father´s war injuries in that nature, I don´t think he would go

Comments:
Her father needs to retire and take care of his health, or report for duty. Sitting behind enemy lines and lobbing verbal grenades at Trump has gotten old.

Perhaps President Trump is cognizant of the Senator´s advanced stages of brain cancer and is being polite toward the ill.

But I´m pretty sure that the President and his adult family members are able to fight their own battles.

The Senator should speak for himself instead of hiding behind his daughter. If he’s too ill to speak in public he is too ill to continue as a Senator.

Starbucks will allow people to sit in its cafes and use its bathrooms - even if they don´t buy anything. The new policy, announced on Saturday, comes five weeks after two black men were arrested at a Philadelphia store after one asked to use the bathroom before he had made a purchase. Donte Robinson and his friend Rashon Nelson, both 23, had been waiting for a potential business partner to discuss real estate development when one of the men asked to use the bathroom and was knocked back. Minutes after the pair had sat down at the coffee shop, the manager called the police and had Robinson and Nelson arrested.

Washington- Stacey Abrams´ bid to become the first female African-American governor in America is the hottest ticket in Democrats´ shadow 2020 presidential primary. In Georgia´s Tuesday primary, Abrams, the former state House minority leader, faces former state Rep. Stacey Evans for the Democratic nomination in what will be a closely-watched governor´s race. Just ahead of the primary, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders endorsed Abrams, and California Sen. Kamala Harris visited Georgia to campaign for her. In January, New Jersey Sen. Early in her address to graduating Yale students at Sunday´s Class Day, Hillary Clinton reached behind the lectern, pulled out a traditional Russian ushanka hat, and held it aloft. "I mean, if you can´t beat ´em, join ´em." she said as the audience laughed and applauded. The Russian hat gag, a nod to the student tradition of wearing extravagant headgear during Class Day, set the tone for a wide-ranging speech in which Clinton alternately cracked jokes about her loss to Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election and warned Yale´s Class of 2018 that "we are living through a full-fledged

California´s ´jungle primary´ isn´t

As California hurtles toward its state primary June 5, it is obvious there´s a problem. Its open primary system — which sends the top two vote-getters to the general election, regardless of party affiliation — is not working as intended and risks throwing the midterm election into acrimony and confusion. This system is called a "jungle primary" for a reason: It is brutal and unpredictable. In three high-profile House races, there are so many candidates from the two major parties eating into one another´s support that the election results may end up owing more to chance than any discernible will

Starbucks´ day of racial-bias training for its baristas can´t come soon enough. With less than two weeks to go before the coffee chain closes stores nationwide to educate its nearly 175,000 workers on how not to discriminate against others, Starbucks (SBUX) this week found itself apologizing for doing just that.
