Downtown residents say City Hall
is ignoring fires on skid row
while cracking down in Bel-Air

Los Angeles Times, by Dakota Smith

Original Article

Posted By:Ribicon, 1/28/2018 3:54:18 PM

After authorities determined that last month´s Skirball fire in Bel-Air was caused by a cooking fire at a homeless encampment, Mayor Eric Garcetti and fire officials unveiled a plan to clear tent clusters in hillside areas. But the announcement frustrated downtown business leaders, who say that fires on or near skid row are a daily problem that City Hall has not adequately addressed. (Snip) Homeless encampment fires are endangering human lives and businesses in skid row, community leaders say. The fires start when homeless residents cook, try to keep warm or use drugs. Other blazes are intentionally set.

Comments:
Wherever the homeless congregate, problems ensue. The left won´t let them be institutionalized or kept in a vast containment area, so there´s no solution.

How many of those homeless are in fact illegals? Brush Clearance inspectors were cut back to pay for more illegal benefits.
Shutting down mental hospitals released illminto community without any support.
Liberals love illegals - aTaxpayers foot the bill.
Deport them all and then see how many homeless there are.

San Francisco is a mess. Los Angeles, because it is so much bigger, is a much bigger mess. All of it brought to us by long term Democrat political leadership. Democrats are skilled at winning elections and in keeping and increasing their political power, but when it comes to actually governing, they are a catastrophe. As far as I can see, almost every single city, county or state controlled by Democrats is a mess. (I would think there are exceptions to this rule, but I don´t know of any.)

Two European bicyclists found dead in a ravine in southern Mexico were robbed and murdered, authorities say, despite earlier claims they plunged to their deaths in an accident. Prosecutor Luis Alberto Sanchez said the bodies of Krzystof Chmielewski, of Poland, and Holger Hagenbusch, of Germany, were found at the bottom of a cliff in Chiapas state, the BBC reported. Chmielewski, 37, was shot in the head and found on April 26 about 130 feet below the road he’d been traveling on. Well, sincere ignorance had a banner day last week when President Trump unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal. A CNN/ORC poll taken shortly before Trump’s decision found that a majority of Americans — 63 percent — wanted the U.S. to stay in the deal. But get this: 62 percent of Americans believed Iran had violated its terms. To me, the second result is the more alarming.
