Trump’s Effort to Fire Mueller:
Reactions to the New York Times Report

The New York Times reported Thursday evening that President Trump ordered the firing of Special Counsel Robert Mueller in June and was only dissuaded when White House Counsel Don McGahn threatened to resign rather than transmit the order to the Justice Department. Mueller has reportedly become aware of the attempt to dismiss him in the course of investigating possible obstruction of justice by Trump and his associates. According to the Times, Trump claimed that multiple conflicts of interests disqualified Mueller from overseeing the Russia investigation—including a fee dispute with a Trump golf club,

The failing and flailing New York Slimes is to truth as Lucifer is to Holy Water. If there is ever a Mount Rushmore of journalistic dishonesty, Maggie Haberman will beat out Walter Duranty for the prime place of (dis)honor.

Isn’t it coincidental that each time Trump has a terrific success such as getting the tax code passed or Davos, out pops a story from fake news to try to take the attention away from his successes. This is so transparent I could bump into it.

Nice try.

This is how ´fake news´ gets spread. There are no direct statements from McGahn, other than he didn´t discuss this with the POTUS....he was just thinking about it. If the source is the NYT it´s trash!

I happened to switch over to CNN and saw this hit on Chris Cuemo´s show (I didn´t even know he had a show). He was absolutely foaming at the mouth! He actually said that even though Trump didn´t fire Mueller, the he had the INTENT to do it and that proves he COULD be charged with Collusion. Do you believe that!! Hillary actually DID have an ILLEGAL Server, but Comey said he couldn´t find INTENT so he couldn´t charge her. Now Trump did NOT fire Mueller, but they want to tie INTENT around his neck. God save us!

Laughable article. More ‘hard news’ by the predictably liberal NYT based on rumors, innuendo and unreliable sources. Their claim that Trump is trying to corrupt the DOJ is especially cute. Mueller and Rosenstein should have been fired months ago.

It´s astounding how this Failing NYT unsubstantiated or sourced by name article has been accepted as factual. The propaganda arm of the social justice warrior democrat socialist party is off to the races.

Let´s say it were true, so what? Trump knew in June things we are just learning about now. Based on what we have learned since June and what we knew by June, why wouldn´t firing Mueller be justified and rational?

The only reason not to fire him is purely political. He should be fired. Any special prosecutor who hires a staff of partisan operatives should not be in the position, its that simple. Look at the backlash the thought of firing him has created, imagine the firestorm had he actually done so.

Only purpose of this meaningless article is to reporters in Davos another chance to attack PDT. Questions will focus on Mueller, firing of Mueller, obstruction of Mueller´s investigation, retaining Mueller, accepting Mueller´s findings, pardoning yourself and if there is a micro sentence of silence, allowing Mueller to question the stripper who met you in 2006. Have feeling that Mueller´s smear artists have already subpoenaed the stripper and will alert MSM when she is due to appear for questioning,

The bottom line is that President Trump did not fire Robert Mueller. Chances are the President and his team may, in a meeting, considered firing Mueller, but did not, and reached in the end the right decision.

This NY Times article was probably timed to be a leftist diversion to draw media and pundit attention away from the success that Trump will have in his economic trip to Davies, Switzerland.

NYPD sex-crime detectives once had to hide a woman accusing Harvey Weinstein of assault — stashing her away from both the movie mogul’s lawyers and his cronies in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, a report said Friday.Investigators told New York magazine that they had Weinstein dead to rights in 2015 after he allegedly groped Italian model Ambra Battilana in his office. That was until Manhattan DA Cy Vance Jr., whose office had close ties to Weinstein’s legal team, chose not to prosecute in a decision that still irks investigators who worked the case, according to the mag.

This would be the second highest year since 2010,” said Steven Kopits, president of Princeton Policy Advisors in New Jersey.
