WASHINGTON – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called the government shutdown a “manufactured crisis” created by Democrats who want a permanent Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) fix, which he referred to as a “non-emergency” issue that does not belong in the short-term spending bill to continue federal government operations. “The one non-emergency issue our friends on the other side of the aisle are trying to shoehorn into this discussion doesn’t reach that status of emergency until March. This is pure folly. The American people know so, that´s why in a recent survey a majority said keeping the government open

Isn´t that rich??

After quoting Stalin, now Senator Satin and his fellow demons refer to the Founding Fathers.

Let us remind them that the Founding Fathers warned of political parties and "factions" - period, even though many of them succumbed to the natural tendency to form them themselves.

There is no such thing as a "majority leader" or "minority leader" in the Constitution, its Amendments, or Law. That is only in artificial Congress-made "rules" that can and should be done away with.

If we learned anything in 1986 when 3 million illegal aliens got amnesty, and the American people got nothing, it´s that amnesty cannot not come FIRST.

I´m tired of business as usual, and enjoying every minute of President Trump standing up to disloyal politicians who have forgotten who they are supposed to represent.

According to the liberal Democrats the word compromise means that the Republicans must accept the liberal Democrat position on proposed legislation.

According to the liberal Democrats, when you get to amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, the bipartisan position is when a couple of RINOs, who have always supported amnesty, go along with the liberal Democrat position on amnesty, after which all the Republicans are expected to follow in lockstep, and that´s what they expected President Trump to do this time but it did not happen.

The liberal Democrats then shot themselves in the foot by voting against the Continuing Resolution that contained no provisions that the liberal Democrats did not support, and thus forced the government shutdown. The problem for the liberal Democrats is that President Trump was not elected to go along with liberal Democrat designed amnesties for illegal aliens, and has assembled around him advisers who are experts on the complex and finer points of immigration legislation. Clearly the liberal Democrats don´t like that one bit. So instead of talking about the big amnesty they have proposed, the liberal Democrats are attacking Trump´s advisers and their negotiating positions on behalf of the President.

The liberal Democrats having a tantrum over Trump not going along with their big amnesty for illegal aliens, with the liberal Democrats then shutting down the government putting the safety of the American people at risk and not funding the Armed Forces, are bound to not be winning stances with the American electorate in the upcoming elections.

To the Demon-RATs, for the last 50 years or so, "bipartisan" has meant that the Republi-CAN´T Party gave the Demon-RATs exactly what they wanted, and then the Republi-CAN´Ts leaned over, grabbed their ankles, and asked for another.

Suddenly, President Trump is demanding something back from the Demon-RATs. The Demon-RATs simply cannot understand this concept.

President Trump has offered them DACA if they give him the fence and the end to chain migration. That sounds like a "compromise" to me -- with both sides getting something they want in exchange for something they don´t want. But the Demon-RATs just can´t comprehend why they should have to give up anything. They haven´t had to do that in years...

Jonah Goldberg, neither a friend nor an enemy of Trump, thinks so too. Having looked at the facts, he writes: Barack Obama sold out our Eastern European allies on missile defense. He slow-walked aid to Ukraine and did little more than shrug when Crimea was annexed. The history of the modern Olympic games is littered with stories of dreamers. These athletes work hard, sometimes in obscurity, training long hours for that moment of glory as the world watches. House Republicans on Tuesday decisively blocked a move by Democrats to debate a ban on assault weapons in Florida, six days after a massacre that took 17 lives at a Broward County high school. The bill (HB 219), which would ban the sale and possession of semi-automatic weapons and high-capacity magazines like the kind used by confessed killer Nikolas Cruz, has been mired in a House subcommittee for months and has not been heard. Amid rising tensions at the state Capitol, Democrats used a highly unusual procedure to move the proposal directly to the House floor for a debate and vote. Republicans voted
