´Piece of Garbage´: Michael Dukakis
Rips Tax Law, Blasts Wall Proposal

Fox News, by Staff

Original Article

1988 Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis ripped President Trump´s new tax law and offered optimism for Democrats ahead of the midterm elections. Dukakis, a former governor of the Bay State during the so-called economic "Massachusetts Miracle," said Republicans have lost their way when it comes to supporting fiscal responsibility. He questioned why they would champion a tax plan that may have costly ramifications for the national deficit. (Snip) "We just passed a tax bill, which I think is a piece of garbage," Dukakis, who lost his presidential bid to then-Vice President George Bush, said. "Look at these companies, though, that are

Talk about a piece of garbage! I have no idea why in the world Neil would waste any valuable time with that worthless, pathetic, useless LOSER! I can´t think of anything positive he has ever done. Whenever I hear his name I still can see that idiot in the Army tank.Link below. He perfectly exemplifies the belligerance, incompetence and all that is wrong with the Democrats.

He was useless as a Governor, he was useless as a presidential candidate, and having heard and watched his interview with Neil Cavuto, I think it is safe to say that nothing has changed and he´s still useless.

I’m confused - is this the same National Deficit that the Democrats paid no attention to for eight years. I’m pretty sure most of that wasn’t Bush’s fault.

I had higher hopes for the new Neil Cavuto show, which debuted today. Having Mike "Tank" Dukakis on to trash the president and the tax cut left me cold. What a complete waste of air time.

Hey, Mikey - get a clue. The so-callede "Massachusetts Miracle" was a Republican phenomenon. You just happened to be there to steal credit for it.

I watched the interviews and poor Mike and Neil were asleep at the switch! The Oct before the election of 2000. The Cole was attacked, and from the time of the attack the investigation was flawed, the FBI were all but shut down by Yemen and the US Ambassador, this was followed by a contentious election, and our eyes where off the ball, within 11 months we were we had “911” which shocked the US system!

Clinton let, the Cole happen, North Korea march to nuclear weapons and the Graddady of them all Bin Laden continued his plot to attack America!

Clinton was handed a perfect hand, Cold War over, Saddam Hussein kick out of Kuwait, Hussein in a controlled environment. And Clintion on the strength balance the Republican led budget, until the as far as
the eye can see surpluses vanished because Clinton did nothing to contain Bin Laden even with sufficient warning

We are where we are today because of Clintion and his Security failure and letting Raines of Fannie Mae run the real estate fiinancing lier loans , no doc loans blow us up in 2008! Bush fought hard to contain the agency disregard for loan quality and the charge of Barney Fran and Sen Dodd! They planted the seeds of moral and financial destruction of the USA
Mike you can dream on but you are lying to yourself
Shame on Neal and his producers for not offering a challenge

H.W. Bush´s 1988 Dukakis tank commercial was fiendishly effective. I remember laughing seeing the governor in that Snoopy hat, hearing the wheels inside the tread squeaking, and thinking to myself: This weak lefty will never be commander in chief. In a contemporaneous skit SNL had a Dukakis look alike saying, more or less, "I´m going to get beaten really badly. I´m going to get creamed." Squeak squeak squeak.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LyYD166ync

My then 8-year-old godson, after hearing my nickname for Dukakis, "Du-tax-us," repeated it to his horrified grammar school teacher and his classmates, most of whom were Greek-Americans, Democrats, and liberals. Hearing that really shook ´em up.

I didn´t want a kakistocracy, or government by the worst people.

The other killer moment of that campaign was at the presidential debate when Bernard Shaw asked liberal, anti-death penalty Dukakis, "Governor, if your wife Kitty Dukakis were raped and murdered, would you favor an irrevocable death penalty for the killer?"

Showing no emotion, passion, or even love for his wife, Mikey replied coldly, "No, I wouldn´t, Bernard. And I think you know that I´ve opposed the death penalty during all of my life."

Debate over. Campaign over.

Washington Post, by Robert Costa*    Original Article

In mid-July 2016, a retired American professor approached an adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign at a symposium about the White House race held at a British university. The professor took the opportunity to strike up a conversation with Carter Page, whom Trump had named a few months earlier as a foreign policy adviser. But the professor was more than an academic interested in American politics — he was a longtime U.S. intelligence source. And, at some point in 2016, he began working as a secret informant for the FBI as it investigated Russia’s interference in the campaign, according to people familiar

U.S. law enforcement and intelligence officials have leaked extremely sensitive information about a top secret source three times in the last week while claiming that confidentially sharing information about the source with congressional investigators could greatly impact U.S. national security and potentially risk the source’s life. The officials have leaked specific information that could directly identify the source on three separate occasions to reporters at the Washington Post and New York Times. This raises even more questions about whether current top intelligence and law enforcement officials can be trusted to obey the law and to

Former Director of Intelligence James Clapper said Thursday night on CNN that it was “a good thing” there was an FBI informant spying on the Trump campaign. Clapper admitted the FBI “may have had someone who was talking to them in the campaign,” referring to President Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. He explained away the possibility of an FBI informant spying on the campaign as the bureau was trying to find out “what the Russians were doing to try to substantiate themselves in the campaign or influence or leverage it.” Obama’s Director of National Intelligence then went on to say, “So,

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes appeared on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday, where he provided a potentially explosive hint at what’s driving his demand to see documents related to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Trump-Russia probe. “If the campaign was somehow set up,” he told the hosts, “I think that would be a problem.” Or an understatement. Mr. Nunes is still getting stiff-armed by the Justice Department over his subpoena, but this week his efforts did force the stunning admission that the FBI had indeed spied on the Trump campaign. This came in the form of a Thursday New York

If you’re a fading Baby Boomer, you’re faintly amused that the FBI code-named its Trump-Russia investigation “Crossfire Hurricane.” It’s an homage to the Rolling Stones golden oldie “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” — which, come to think of it, might just be a perfect handle for John Brennan, the former Obama CIA director whose specter hovers over each critical juncture of the case. The young’uns may not believe it, but back before it was known as “classic rock,” you couldn’t just play your crossfire hurricane on Spotify. You had to spin it. Fittingly, that is exactly what the New York Times has

Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer, says that special counsel Robert Mueller has agreed to avoid a “fishing” expedition by narrowing the subject of questions in an effort to get the president to submit to an interview with the prosecutor. Mr. Giuliani also says he thinks fired FBI Director James Comey is “not going to be worth anything as a witness” and thus less a threat to the president. Mr. Giuliani told The Washington Times that Mr. Mueller’s team displayed a “first good faith effort” during a Wednesday meeting that might result in an interview in July and a final Mueller report by

The New York Times published an article yesterday confirming the United States’ intelligence apparatus was used to spy on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016. Here are a few quick takeaways. 1. FBI Officials Admit They Spied On Trump Campaign (Snip) This is a stunning admission for those Americans worried that federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies might use their powers to surveil, leak against, and target Americans simply for their political views or affiliations. As Sean Davis wrote, “The most amazing aspect about this article is how blasé it is about the fact that the Obama admin was actively spying

This past weekend we reported that Internet sleuths determined who the Obama FBI spy was in the Trump campaign. Jeff Carlson at theMarketswork on last Thursday identified an individual by the name of Stefan Halper as a potential FBI spy into the Trump campaign. (Note that some believe that Obama may have had more than one spy on the Trump campaign). Carlson determined that George Papadopoulos, the lower level campaign worker for the Trump campaign, appears to have been targeted by three individuals

Last week, several news outlets obtained financial records showing that Michael Cohen, President Trump’s personal attorney, had used a shell company to receive payments from various firms with business before the Trump Administration. In the days since, there has been much speculation about who leaked the confidential documents, and the Treasury Department’s inspector general has launched a probe to find the source. That source, a law-enforcement official, is speaking publicly for the first time, to The New Yorker, to explain the motivation: the official had grown alarmed after being unable to find two important reports on Cohen’s financial activity in

Wednesday on Bloomberg, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) said the government should “start talking about” regulating pay disparities between CEOs and the average worker. Ellison said, “As you know, under the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act, it became required that the publicly traded companies would have to report the ratio between CEO pay and the median worker. It took about five years or more for the Securities Exchange Commission to create a rule. They finally did so now we have a data set of about 225 public the traded companies. We find that CEOs are paid an exorbitant amount of money’s compared workers.

John McCain always said he’d go down fighting, and so he has, dickering from his deathbed over CIA nominee Gina Haspel and pre-emptively disinviting President Donald Trump from his funeral, then leaving as a legacy some fierce final words for the leader of his party, who is now a political enemy. All Trump displays is “a reality-show facsimile of toughness,” the six-term Arizona senator and former GOP presidential candidate, who for a generation of Washington politicians has defined genuine toughness, writes in his forthcoming memoir. Starbucks´ day of racial-bias training for its baristas can´t come soon enough. With less than two weeks to go before the coffee chain closes stores nationwide to educate its nearly 175,000 workers on how not to discriminate against others, Starbucks (SBUX) this week found itself apologizing for doing just that. (Tweet) The apology on social media came after a customer at a Starbucks in La Cañada Flintridge, California, found the word "Beaner" -- a derogatory term for Mexicans -- printed on his coffee drink instead of "Pedro," his name. A friend of Pedro's who translated for him told CBS Los Angeles that his "friend was also sad"
