Why don´t the Democrat leaders in that S hole of a city care about the lives that are being wasted, especially on the south side?

Saturday Night Live has taken a rare break from mocking President Donald Trump, with one segment even admitting it´s been a good week for the administration. Unusually, both guest host Amy Schumer´s monologue and the episode´s cold open avoided politics - a rarity in the Trump era, in which Alec Baldwin typically appears to impersonate the president. The Weekend Update segment devoted only three minutes to politics, and the episode´s only other jab at Trump was a throwaway line during a parody of The Handmaid´s Tale. The episode opened with several of the cast members´ mothers joining them on the

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” former Bush senior advisor Karl Rove said it was “reprehensible” to say Gina Haspel is morally unfit to be the CIA director because of her involvement in enhanced interrogation after 9/11. Rove said, “I think it’s reprehensible if people say she’s morally unfit because she was following a program that was carefully crafted by the lawyers and approved as being within our international obligations and the statutes of the United States. It has now been ruled by an act of Congress to no longer be applicable, no longer be a tool to

Sunday on MSNBC’s “Live With Alex Witt,” Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) called President Donald Trump a “600-pound, orange elephant.” When asked about using impeachment as issue in the 2018 midterm elections, Cohen said, “Nancy Pelosi is a very outstanding politician and official. I have great respect for her. I agree with her it’s not going to happen with the Republican majority. Republicans have turned blindly against what is obviously violations of the Emoluments Clause, what could be proven and put out by Mueller as obstruction of justice and other violations that could lead to impeachment.

The top Democrat on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence acknowledged in a recent interview that contacts between Trump campaign associates and Russians could be “a set of coincidences” rather than collusion. “I’m reserving my final judgement until we’ve seen all the witnesses we need to see, and we’ve gotten all the facts. So I’m going to hold off,” Virginia Sen. Mark Warner said in an interview with The New Yorker’s David Remnick when asked whether he believes that Trump associates conspired with the Kremlin to influence the 2016 presidential election. White House leakers used a raft of excuses Sunday to justify sharing sensitive Trump administration information with reporters, reasons ranging from a way to settle personal scores to dealing with a confrontational work environment within the West Wing. "The most common substantive leaks are the result of someone losing an internal policy debate," a senior administration official told Axios. "By leaking the decision, the loser gets one last chance to kill it with blowback from the public, Congress, or even the President." The aide then likened working in the White House to "kind of like being in a never-ending ´Mexican

Among the group was CNN Chief International correspondent Christiane Amanpour, who wasted no time in lashing out at President Trump and denouncing his favorable attitude towards Fox News. “I have been talking about this

Conservative syndicated columnist George Will wrote this week that Vice President Mike Pence has “become America’s most repulsive public figure.” Why does Will think Pence deserves this absurd slur? Apparently, the columnist has found the vice president guilty of the heinous crime of being a decent man. So it is no surprise that Will has become part of the so-called “resistance” to the duly elected president of the United States. He’s even become a contributor to NBC and its

As death flutters around the back-yard deck of Senator John McCain, it’s sad to read reports that the scrappy Sandcutter regrets picking Governor Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate and wishes he had instead picked Senator Jos. Lieberman. The only person diminished by this kind of talk is Senator McCain himself, and the heroic Arizonan deserves better. Not that we lack for love of Mr. Lieberman. The Sun was the first newspaper to sketch the rationale for Mr. McCain to bring in Mr. Lieberman as his running mate. That was in an enthusiastic editorial called “The Logic of Lieberman.”

A Nigerian passenger has filed a civil rights lawsuit alleging that United Airlines personnel ejected her and her children from an international flight departing from Houston in 2016 because of her “pungent” odor. The woman says in a federal discrimination suit filed in Houston Friday that she and her minor children were boarding a San Francisco bound plane — the second leg of a three-flight journey from Nigeria to Canada — when an incident occurred involving a white male passenger that escalated to her being asked by United staff to exit the plane. Near as I can tell, this president only has one reference point and it is internal,” Comey said during a conversation with bookstore executive Heather Reisman. “That’s very similar to a Cosa

Federica Mogherini, the European Union’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, reacted to Mr. Trump’s announcement with a sharp statement. The European Union and the rest of the international community, she said, would “preserve this nuclear deal.” The question is how. Notwithstanding an abundance of

Washington - Among recent pilgrims to the Arizona ranch of Senator John McCain was Joe Biden. The Republican, who has an aggressive form of brain cancer, urged the former vice-president to “not walk away” from politics, Biden told the New York Times. On Friday, incensed by reports that a White House aide had dismissed McCain with the terse comment “he’s dying anyway”, the 75-year-old Democrat let rip, declaring
